I think the Chicago game gets a prime slot early in the season. Not opening week, but somewhere between weeks 3-6 where both top picks have had a chance to get some live reps. Part of me hopes they roll Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels out week 1, Monday night football.

Ya’lls are cutthroat on Howell. This guy has potential. Growing pains are inherent in a first season of starting, let alone being a 5th round pick. Lighten up, he’s got the tools to be good. Making a lot of bad decisions, but the guy could be something halfway special if you let him play it out.

At this point, is there anyway he is actually here next season? My magic 8 ball says, “all signs point to no”. He’s trending towards being a draft bust for sure. After he leaves the team at the conclusion of the season, bounces around between a few other teams in a couple of years, maybe he can be brought back as a “sideline director of team morale” to cheer the guys on. Seems like a natural fit with the experience he has in it so far.
