RDSKNfaithfull
Somebody told me the league will not let him change numbers. Anybody else hear this? I say f it the whole team wear #21 comming out of the tunnell with Taylors name on the back. How cool would that be and they all refuse to change jerseys if the league makes them forefit so be it. OVCChairman
GOOD JOB CP. I'm rooting for them to retire #21 but i'd love to see CP finish the remainder of his career wearing that number.
ECU-ALUM
I'd like to see CP wear the number for these 5 games. And then next year he should go back to 26 and the team should retire 21 at the halftime of the opening game. I agree with you.

JCav06
At first I was for retiring #21, but if there had to be another person who wore that number, Portis would be it. Go get em, CP.

Dr. Terrapin
I'm a 41 year old man and I teared up again when I read the thread title. Great gesture by his friend. Losing this man is so wrong.

ECU-ALUM
good move by Portis, i hope the league allows him to do it. What are they going to do? Fine him? Like CP will really care about that.
pR0JEkT 21
Good for Clinton. I think it would be great If the whole team came out with actual Sean Taylor Jerseys on. And Seans Candy Cane socks This is great news however, I was hoping that they would retire it ya know, but wasn't sure if they would do that for a 4 year vet. So anyways, is there a place to by the exact same socks that ST wore, not the ones he wore, but you know what I mean!
Washington53fan
does anyone have a link validating this ?
jasjhughes
21 is an ok number for a running back. When the league disallowed it before, I belive that it was because the number was out of the position range.
BoBoCTiberius
I don't like this. I wouldn't want anyone but Clinton doing it, but I don't think I'm ready to see another 21 on the field. I don't think anyone is. It's just going to hurt to see CP, and just think of everything Sean was, and could've been.
Fear Our D!
Let CP wear it this Sunday. Retire it after that.
PleaseGoForTheWin
I know he's struggled this year, but this is why Clinton is a valuable team leader. Here's to hoping that he starts running like he used to.
RedskinFan81
I say keep the number active. There where good players before Sean with that number, and there will be after. I'll will remember him for what he did with this team, then the number he wore, RIP Sean .
Doctorfro
It would be a wonderful gesture but the NFL is funny about that stuff and I'm not sure they'd let him.
sens11
I hope this is true! Way to represent CP!
SkinsMaster88
If people remember 3 years ago, when Pat Tillman was killed, Jake Plummer wanted to wear the 40 sticker on his helmet, but was fined by the NFL before eventually removing it. Hopefully, the NFL is more understanding now.
Spartacus87
I say let the man wear #21 this Sunday, fine be damned. If there's one person among all of us right now to truly represent Taylor the way Taylor would probably want to be represented, it's his best friend on this earth Clinton Portis, while he completely tears the Bills a new a-hole all over the field. God bless Sean and God bless Portis as he gets the team and the offense ready to dominate Sunday.
gca61087
Yeah, I have to agree that the #21 belongs to Sean Taylor as a player.HOWEVER, I would love to see Coach Gibbs come out with Sean's jersey on!!! Could you imagine seeing him, with the jersey, the ballcap and the headphones!! What an ULTIMATE show of respect. :applause: i would like to see gregg williams wearing his jersey. he was a real father figure and mentor for sean. he loved him and looked after him like a son and knows that sean is the best athlete he will ever coach. a true d-coordinators dream, and the definition of what gregg's defense, and all defense for that matter, is about. i like the cp and gibbs ideas as well, but gregg seems the most fitting for me. SkinSabbath
EVERY fan needs to wear Sean's jersey this sunday, so that ST can be the 12th man out there!

480SkinsFan
Just seeing the #21 run out from the tunnel and play for the last time at FedEx field would be heartfelt. I wish I were at the game. I still can't believe. Hail....Sean
