Giants still winless after loss to Redskins

3029601.jpg

The New York Giants will have to wait at least another week for their first win of the season. After giving up 45 points to Dallas in Week 1 and 35 points to Green Bay a week ago, the Giants' porous defense was exposed once more, this time by NFC East rival Washington in the Redskins' 38-14 win at FedExField. While the first half was closely contested -- Washington led 10-7 at halftime -- the second half was a completely different story.

The Redskins marched down the field with a 14-play drive and settled for a 28-yard field goal from kicker Shaun Suisham. After the Giants fumbled the ensuing kickoff, the Redskins struck again. Washington wide receiver Santana Moss hauled in a pass from Jason Campbell and darted into the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion was good, pushing Washington to a 21-7 lead. Moss had 10 catches for 140 yards on the day. Following Giants quarterback Eli Manning's second touchdown pass, a 16-yard strike to wide receiver Plaxico Burress, the Redskins tacked onto their lead in the fourth quarter with Suisham's third field goal and a pair of touchdown runs by Clinton Portis, who finished with 94 yards rushing.

Now you know better than that. There would be a thread or 5 saying "The Skins won, but...". Or something like that. :)

very true very true....

"the Skins won, but....that 38 points could have been 45 when Jason Fabini only blocked a little on one play when he should have blocked a lot..."

"oh....and where was Brandon Lloyd!!!! He is a complete bust our front office is a joke."

edit* on a side note...yes.... I got this sig thing figured out...
