StillUnknown
Jermaine put alot of damage on Pavlik that round, but used alot of energy as well.
Guest sith lord
These are some sorry ass boxers these days. You mean to tell me after just 1 and a half rounds, Taylor punches himself out?
Tarhog
Great last couple of rounds...Pavlik is all-heart, and Taylor is showing a lot of courage as well...the kind of fight that makes you glad you tuned in...

You mean to tell me after just 1 and a half rounds, Taylor punches himself out? he didn't punch himself out, he pick and chose his shots. it would be impossible to fight at the rate Taylor did when he dropped Pavlik for the entire 12rounds. Shadowplay
It's tough to root against one of these two guys. They're both ... WOW PAVLICK WINS!!! TKO!!
ksun247
Pavlik KO's Taylor in Round 7. Good Stoppage by the referee. Taylor took entirely too many punches.

Tarhog
Like I said, great fight. Could easily have gone either way...at that point in the fight, I didn't think Pavlik had it in him. I was wrong.
Forehead
Jesus that was a set of shots Pavlik hit him with. All the more impressive that he did this after being knocked down in the 2nd. Kelly Pavlik is a serious hitter. Jermaine Taylor's face practically crumbled on that right hook.

ksun247
That was a very good fight. It's deserving of a rematch. Taylor initial plans are to move to 168 lbs but who knows now. Pavlik earned his $$$ tonight, especially after getting abused in Round 2. Congrats to the new CHAMPION.
Shadowplay
Man, the rematch is gonna have to be on PPV. That fight was awesome.
praise_gibbs
If I were Taylor.. I'd be disgusted. He had this fight. Pavlik had to knock him out and did. Very good fight.
HEavyJumbo85
damn, that's guys from Pavlik coming off the canvas to win this one. not trying to brag or anything but :yawnee: we're about 20 minutes out...For the undercard I got Berto over Estrada by TKO in the 4th...and in the big fight I got Pavlik over Taylor by TKO in the 7th...Looking for the big knockouts tonight...enjoy the fight guys

Taylor has said its getting harder and harder for him to make 160, Taylor was up on the judges scorecard at the KO, but i'm not sure we'll see a rematch. IONTOP
I'm not sure I agree with the ref's decision to stop the fight... Taylor was about 6 inches from the ground when the ref called it... Should have at least given him a chance to try to get up from that knockdown
HEavyJumbo85
Man, the rematch is gonna have to be on PPV. That fight was awesome. They're definitley going to have to have a rematch. There really isn't anyone that would bring Pavlik more money than Taylor, unless of course Pavlik wants to move up and go after the winner of the Calzaghe and Kessler fight. I wanna see the rematch, definitley...i'd pay to see these guys fight again.

StillUnknown
apparently there's a rematch clause in the contract for the next fight to be fought at above 160, so there will be a rematch.
HEavyJumbo85
That's another thing i didn't consider, both Pavlik and Taylor could move up and fight at 168. Always an option.

I could understand if Taylor was throwing back but he was not doing anything. I think the ref called it right.
Tarhog
Thats the kind of fight you love to see though. Both guys had their moments and gave incredible efforts - the result was in doubt the entire time. Awesome. Taylor has nothing to be ashamed of....I'm pretty sure Emmanuel Stewart will teach him to get the **** out of the corner quicker against a guy like Pavlik, but still, an amazing fight.
