Larry Brown #43
I'm looking to add some songs to work out to on my iPod. I'm open to pretty much any genre...rock, rap, whatever. As long as it kicks ass. Thanks...

Commander_N_Chief
It may just be me but I can't get pumped to workout off rap/r&b/hip hop. I love all forms of music but to me, I prefer to listen to rap in the clubs, when I'm in relaxation mode, or when I'm driving in my car. Someone has already said Disturbed, I'll add Staind to that list for me.

Kosher Ham
It's sad that only one person has a diverse list in this thread. I open with a question instead. When you are looking for one song to pump you up and get you going what would you select (for work, for a date, for sports, or whatever)? It's a hell of a lot easier to make suggestions when you have a base to start on. I used to listen to only rap or rock to work out. Now, I listen to all types of stuff from classical, jazz, rock, metal, rap, country, pop, etc, it just depends on the mood I am in, and the workout that day. Fan since a Fetus
Pantera's "Vulgar Display of Power" is my ultimate workout album. There is nothing that motivates me more. Second would be the "Far Beyone Driven Album." Both albums punch you in the face and you will want to punch back!!

Blackest Eyes
It's sad that only one person has a diverse list in this thread. Well to be honest, I can't work out while listening to Medeski, Martin and Wood. It seems that listening to more aggressive music while working out works for me...hence why all of the music I listed was metal. I can't imagine listening to R&B or jazz while working out. Rap...I suppose could work if I could stand listening to it, ha.

MissU28
I like to use some songs from the Rocky IV soundtrack. I'm a nerd, but it works. Me too....I pretend I'm running up those steps in Philly...no, really, I do. My playlist is weird...and it depends on the mood I'm in at that time in my life. I've had a workout playlist that completely consisted of country, but I do my best when I have hip hop. The BEST best best BEST song to workout to is Lil John ft. Pastor Troy- Throw it up. Just listen to it, sometimes I play it two or three times during a workout because I get so amped and get a burst of energy. That and Fall Out Boy- This Ain't a Scene It's An Arms Race And, as a female, I can get away with this next choice, but you may feel a little homosexual listening to it... Ricky Martin- La Copa De La Vida It's fast paced and pumps me up as well. Other songs from my playlist: Britney Spears- Stronger and Toxic(yeah, you may feel a lil homo there as well) Juelz Santana- Oh Yes Bon Jovi- It's my Life, Livin' On a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name Daddy Yankee- Gasolina remix NERD- Lapdance Pat Benetar- Love is a Battlefield Petey Pablo- Freak-a-leek (oldie but a goodie) Pitbull- Bojangles Remy Martin- Conceited All American Rejects- Swing Swing and Dirty Little Secret Young Dro- Shoulder Lean Top Gun- Danger Zone and the main theme (missu28=nerd ) Three Six Mafia- Stay Fly But forreal...Lil John...Throw it up..... yes
