The "black community" has to be held accountable" for their portrayal of black females and the conotations that they have affixed. Listening to "black rap video/audio" presentations, one is often confronted with similiar words and descriptions of females with ethnic origins. We are our own "worst enemy" and until this area is addressed, the in-sensitivity will continue. We have to clean up our house before we can pass judgement. As a teen growing up I often heard these comments however, I was not impowered to instill any changes regardless of the embarassement that I incured. The comments and descriptions given to women of color is not only deplorable, degrading and abusive, it's absolutely unacceptable and the medias that allow this assault on women should be sanctioned severely and sponsors of a program should abstain from their aegis and also any person, outlet,promoter,adversary or any other that fall within the "scope" of this admonition should "suffer" the same punishment levels that were imposed on Mr. Imus. It's unfortunate that we are still being assailed with this type of a "moral" topic in 2007. Poor white people have more in common with poor black people then they do with rich white people and vice versa. Until people can grasp that there is alway going to be racism. Race, and other differences, have been used since the beginning of time to keep the people at the bottom divided against each other. Instead of talking about how we can get health care for EVERYONE or how we can fix the education system or how or justice system systematically ****s on the poor, etc. Those are the types of things we need to be discussing with each other. Not whether or not the word cracker is offensive or whether Don freaking Imus should be fired. I know it's a pinko commie rant but that's how I see it. And it won't matter one lick what any of these things anyone else has to say, or sing, or rant about or anything. It's a personal decision.
