I'd like to hear another side of the story. I think we're only haring one side. I've been to Fedex once. 2003 against the Jets. I was in the nosebleeds. We were making TONS of noise up there with whatever we could. No one said a word. Are you sure maybe there wasn't a small outburst of frustration?

Of course I was in the upper deck. I hear that's the rowdiest section for noise so no one is complaining up there.

All you guys talking about breaking a chair at FedEx, good luck. Those things are indestructible with your hands. I hit the empty ones all the time to make noise.

I do know of people that have been escorted out wrongly I believe. Usually whoever complains first gets the other person tossed out, depending on the mood of the usher.

The ushers from section to section are wildly varying in what the consider a reason to toss you. No consistancy.

The fans will generally make noise early in the season when there's still hope, and of course late when we still have something on the line, like last year.

When you're 4-8 and have a large number of fans for the other team in the house, its gonna be tough. Anyone notice the upper deck at the start of the game today. God, I've never seen it so deserted.

I hear u Slinging but my friend it has changed. It seems like the whole atmosphere is a fraud.JMHO

Being that DC is the nucleus of the free world and a HUGE business center I can imagine that Fedex has turned into a place for closing business deals and courting potential clients. If so then that's sad. Winning has become secondary in importance here and has been replaced by "making a buck".

Too True, and Too Sad! I remember being at RFK as a kid stomping & screaming for the Skins and wondering in the vvvvveeeerrry back of my mind if the stadium was gonna collapse. Ive flown back for games at fedex, and the crowd might as well have be a corporate convention at a Hyatt. Pathetic. Even the Q here in san diego (maybe the sorriest stadium in the NFL, and most fairweather fans), the charger fans that go, and pass on a sunday at the beach, have a more passionate atmosphere.

Landover needs to go.....re-vamp RFK!!!!!

This "ushers telling fans to sit is unbelievable..." I have multiple great stories of ushers in my section singling out opposing fans all the while ENCOURAGING rowdiness in the favor of the skins. I'd feel just like all of you that are ready to pack it in if this were happening around me. Their policy has got to be standardized throughout the stadium. BE loud Be proud..i think is the slogan on the backs of the seats.

I am actually in the opposite camp. I am encouraged by my fellow fans that are there week in week out, the awesome security/ ushers in my section, and the general disregard for the opposing fan around me.

just a quick fyi...I took Morgan Blvd straight out to Suitland Parkwayc/395/495/66. I was at my house in gainesville, VA in under 1 hr. oh yeah, I have never left early.......

The culture at FedEx barely resembles a football game. There is a lot of truth to the rumors that FedEx is inhabited by the “whine and cheese” crowd. The tailgates are mediocre, the facilities are abysmal (e.g. jumbotrons) and the personnel are obviously instructed to stop people from making too much noise.

It is Sad!

Well, if they didn't build fedex 5 minutes outside of the nations captial, having to fight traffic all night, it wouldn't be so bad for us dc/virginia fans. Keep in mind, Virginia is Redskins team.

Not sure what you mean by "Virginia is Redskins team" but there is no excuse for leaving early! Washington Redskins = 5 mins outside nations capital - what's wrong with that equation?!! Stadium was half empty until almost halftime, I heard people talking about how long the buses took, how long the line was to get through the security line, etc. What aren't people expecting?! Do they really think they can pull up at 12:45, pull into their perfectly close reserved spot, walk right up and into their private elevator to the upper level? Catch a clue! Leave EARLY for the game! Reality check, there are 90K fans entering through the gates. You will need time to park. You will need time to walk from lots. You will need to go through security and have your ticket taken. You may have a long walk once inside. Begin this process around noon.

The fans pouring out of the stadium in the 4th quarter made me sick. Yes, the stadium is outside DC. I do not expect that they will be building one in Reston anytime soon. They are not the Reston Redskins. I left the stadium at 5:35 and pulled up to the house one hour later. No traffic, no stops or slow ups at all, except for a little slow-down at 66 right before my exit. Suck it up, plan for plenty of time on both ends of the game.

I love these threads...

Dude, no one will kick you out for making noise. How do you get kicked out twice?

So called fans? Don't blame um'.

I'm a season ticket holder and a die-hard....

I didn't even go, so I guess I'm a fraud

Maybe people had to be somewhere guy. Not everyone is die-hard.

HTTR

Or maybe they're sick of wasting entire sundays watching a team that refuses to show up...Something about one of the highest paid rosters in the NFL who consistently fail to produce...What do they care? Why should we care until they show some desire to be there?

BS!! I got booted 4 years ago for "making too much noise". It was crap so I went to Fedex on Monday and met with the director of operations. He apologized, sent me a colectable JKC stadium and has upgraded my tickets twice.

I was in the upper deck in section 431 and from my view the upper deck was pretty packed. You probably noticed it being naked cuz people were walking to their seats from tailgating. I know I didnt get in there until the skins second offensive series. A lot of people got to the lot around 9-10 am, so we were in there, just delayed by the good bratwurst, corona and remy shots!

I noticed the club level and lower bowl seats were not as packed as I have usually seen it.

Worst part was today a man had a seizure walking in the parking lot. My buddy and I ran and told a cop and an ambulance that was stuck in the traffic. The ambulance came to where the guy was, saw him, waved it off and left.

Now I know that is not FedEx Field related, but that is completely ridiculous.

Today I had to sit next to a sea of green. Noticed that several seats were empty. An usher told my girlfriend she could not put her feet up on a seat nobody sat in. This was during halftime. Thankfully, nobody told us to not bang on the seats.

I don't know if you should have necessarily been kicked out, but slamming your seat or another's is ridiculous. You can can certainly cheer your team on without resorting to being a jerk.

How is that being a jerk?

It makes noise. He wasnt doing it angrily, he was doing to help the defense. Better banging a chair than sitting on your hands.

I don't believe one word of this story.

I've seen people in other sections get thrown out. When I asked fans what happened, they say he was making too much noise. I have been told to be quiet by and usher before and I have also been told to sit down when everyone around me was standing.

You may not believe it happens, but it does. It is sad. I never got to go to RFK, but have heard great things about the atmosphere there, it is a shame FedEx will never be like that.

Oh and I was told to be quiet during the Giants game last year when we were fighting for the playoffs, I dont think record means anything to the ushers or some fans.

i was not throwing a temper tantrum i was making noise, slamming seats is one of the best ways to make noise was not trying to break anything, computers and tvs don't make noise like chairs, i got thrown out twice cause i went back to a different gate and showed my ticket and one of the CSC guys let me back in. Mercury no actually i wasnt doing anything else and i wasnt the only oe thrown out, i was in section 223, the people in front of me told me to be quiet and i ignored them and they called security

Slamming someone's seat is annoying. It's guys like you that keep some fans from going to the games. You say the people in front of you told you to knock it off? That should have been enough reason for you to stop! If you can't go to a game and act like a civilized human being then, yes, you should be kicked out.
