scstand
If healthy....I can't see him doing any worse than what we have seen thus far from our secondary.

SkinsLifer'
We don't need secondary THAT bad... Springs will help... What we really need is some good DE's... if we can't put pressure on the QB without blitzing we could have Darryl Green back and it would be tough to stop good QB's like Manning and Grossman
GeorgetownSkin
We could sign him to a 1-year contract. he's old but a short contract would mean that its barely risky at all, no cap damage next year or anything. Then we could play him at SS on passing downs, mitigating Archuleta's weakness at coverage, and letting Archuleta blitz or play on running downs. I think its a good idea. :2cents:
CBass1724
They released him when he got healthy so he can catch on with another team. That team needs to be US!

Stew
LOL... vet min plus incentives... its classic. LOL, Or somethign very close to it. It would be foolish to not give him a look, if he can do what Kenny Wright can do, then I say why not?
THE POSSE 81 83 84
anyone could help at this point even bringing back deion from retirement.....jk
Skins Fan in Ma
I see no reason to not give him a chance. Are the Bills trimming payroll because from what i understood he was'nt hurt that badly. He obviously does'nt want to retire because if he did he would have just sat at home on IR. skinfan2k
lets give him a signing bonus of 10 million liek we do to all our free agents.

DiscoBob
I think we are about 1.2 - 1.7 mil under the cap. If we signed him for a year, there would be no danger. If he wasn't someone who had played for GW, I wouldn't do it, but since he has, I'd like to think he could come in and contribute right away.... sableholic
apparently none of you (or few) are very familar with his ability. He is a good nickel corner. He got a slight hammy pull this year and some reason the Bills put him on IR and Spikes among other got pissed off about it. He is still good, although a little old. He is certainly not a permanent solution, but seriously is that what we are looking for at this moment? Hes better than Kenny Wright when healthy. If hes all healed up like I believe he is he is definately worth looking at.
SKINtil8tin
If the money worked for the Skins, I would want him in a heartbeat. How do some of you guys think that he couldn't help? Prioleau was a huge loss for us and having someone with Vincent's knowledge and skill would be great. There's no guarantee that Springs (or any other corner for that matter) will last the whole year when he comes back. Obviously without Springs, it didn't really matter who you plugged in opposite Rogers - we were alot weaker.

aqq
I heard Hugh Douglas and Bobby Taylor are available as well. Maybe we should try to sign all the washed up Eagles.

GibbsFactor
Can't hurt to try him out. He's got to have some connection with Gwills and crew.
praise_gibbs
Could he help? Whether it be by way of skills on the field or vet leadership with Rogers, Rumph, and Wright--my answer would be yes to both.
RonBurgundy&Gold
Anyone thinking he wouldn't be beneficial to our team is nuts. Sure he's old, but his veteran leadership would be nice for our secondary. Take a look at our secondary, theres no way he could make it worse. CPstretch
we badly miss pierson priolou this year. he played some strong nickel back/safety for us last year and now it is clear that wright and rumph just arent as good.

Jay Master Jay
Hey he knows the defense and knows where to be. He can help because he's a veteran and I think with his history with Gray & Williams he wants to help. With the bums we have picked up is anyone actually saying we shouldnt give him at least a tryout? Our defense isnt getting the job done and has been more disappointing the the offense. Look at how many 3rd and 10 or more we have given up in only 5 games. I use to laugh when a team was in 3rd or 6 now I say oh oh.
