SkinsBry
It starred Cuba Gooding Jr. as Carl Brashear, the first Black Master Diver in the U.S. Navy. I thought it was a really good movie, Cuba did a great job, but I like all of his work. Robert DeNiro was also in the movie. Anyway, I just read that Carl Brashear recently passed away. http://www.military.com/features/0,15240,107795,00.html?ESRC=dod.nl Pioneering Master Diver Carl Brashear Laid to Rest Navy News | SN Casandra Newell | July 31, 2006 Virginia Beach, VA. - Nearly 800 family, friends, active duty and retired service members gathered at the Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) Little Creek Chapel July 29, to pay their final respects to retired Master Chief Carl Brashear, the Navy’s first black Master Diver and a man whose boundless determination inspired every walk of life. cjcdaman
The story is good but the movie was lackluster i'd say. I have to agree. Not to mention that when I saw Cuba Gooding Jr. jumping up and down like a school girl after his Oscar(or whatever it was), I lost all respect for him.
