Spaceman Spiff
Not to be confused with favorite albums. For example, your favorite albums might be "Totally Krossed Out" by Kris Kross and "The One That You Love" by Air Supply, but that doesn't make them ****ing essential albums that everyone should own (yes, I'm talking to you PleaseBlitz). So what are some albums that EVERYONE should own?

GrapeApe
I probably would have picked Born To Run as Springsteen must have, though I absolutely love Nebraska. Maybe Born In The USA but radio play killed that album for me. The same could be said for Legend (Bob Marley) which I picked. I'd much rather have Uprising, Exodus, or Songs of Freedom than Legend. You get a good sampling of a musicians work, without having to own so many albums. Works for me.

But I came to the conclusion that's more of a personal selection than a universal essential.

Mr. Nostril
Mr N. that list...explains alot of your comments in the AI thread. I did say ...you'd probaby say, "if that's what you like, what makes you think you can judge a singing contest." And in reality, there's probably some truth to that. With the notable exception of my love for 70s soul, most of the music I listen to doesn't have particularly good singing, in the technical sense. So, you can't say I didn't disclose this weakness.
