Slacky McSlackAss
Im hearing from a few of my friends in Jacksonville that there reporting on the radio that lavar failed his physical with the jags. apparently they were willing to throw money his way until he failed the physical. Remember, this is just a rumor im hearing. no link yet.
ArmchairRedskin
I read on another board that he declined to let the Giants give him a physical. Carl Banks apparently said this on Sirius radio.
kevinklein
If this is true he might be unemployed for the 2006/07 season.
smalex41
I feel that there is a lot of "ho-hum" that's positive. I never envisioned Lavar "still" being available.
jrockster21
Wow...I actually feel bad for Lavar. I guess the knee injury was a little more severe than we thought. :whoknows:
Gilgamesh
Wow. Even if this is not true, this type of rumor will kill what little is left of LaVar's market value.
AKM311
Maybe a chance for him to come back to DC? Yea right, I wish.
TD_washingtonredskins
He will NOT be unemployed. Someone will sign him to a cap-friendly contract physical or no physical. I'm not a Lavar apologist either...I just don't see a player with his upside not being on a roster this coming season.
HOF44
Wow, hope its not true for his sake. You think Lavar or his agents would make sure he could pass a physical before giving up 4 million bucks.

CPstretch
you'd think if a person could be playing in the NFL he could pass a physical. it wasnt like he was still injured at the end of the year

SkinsHokieFan
I do feel bad for Lavar here This injury sounds like it really may sink his career. What it means is we may have lucked out, because once again there would have been a year of Lavar drama with "is his knee ok or is it not?" For the team it was clearly best to move on. I just hope Lavar finds a home where he can be productive
SouthernSkinsFan
You think Lavar or his agents would make sure he could pass a physical before giving up 4 million bucks. Maybe the Postons had the results from a previous physical, BUT THEY FORGOT TO READ IT!

Too bad for LaVar if this is true. I don't understand how he could fail a physical if he was playing last year though.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he was ever 100% last season. He got better as the year went on, but then he injured his thigh in the St. Louis game, and kinda looked slow from that point on. :whoknows: He had the big game in the Tampa playoffs, but then kind of disappeared in the Seattle game. Could be. But if so, LaVar and/or the Postons really did screw the pooch by giving back the 4 million to try their luck in free agency.

B. LLoyd
Re-sign him. He is still the best OLB in the NFL.
jrockster21
Re-sign him. He is still the best OLB in the NFL. Not even close. When 100% healthy, he's probably top 10, but he's nowhere near the best OLB in the NFL right now.

PCS
Found this from a few days ago. http://www.jaguars.com/story/5081.asp ORLANDO—Jack Del Rio said the Jaguars remain interested in Lavar Arrington Is there a chance the Jaguars will sign Arrington to fill that void at linebacker? “We have interest in Lavar. I had dinner with him. We gave him a physical and did our due diligence. I think he's looking for the right fit,” Del Rio said.
