jwpanic
i went to a little town in the swiss alps called interlaken with my girlfriend. it was something straight out of the movie "Heidi" except in the center of town there was a big casino. definitely the place to go if you're looking to go skiing/snowboarding in europe. also, i'm headed to rio for my spring break in april. Sao Paulo-hypercrowded and expensive Rio-all what you've heard is true and then some. But the street urchin crime problem is there and in your face. SkinzRool
My favorite vacation destination was definitely Rhodes, Greece. My second favorite was probably Playa del Carmen in Mexico.
Predicto
Italy is probably the best combination of beauty, culture, history, food and weather that this world offers. However, my personal favorite place is Barbados. I have never met nicer people in my life, the ocean is wonderful, and the countryside is great for exploring. gbear
I vote for Placencia in Belize. The snorkeling is awesome, the people are nice, the rainforest is beutiful, and the currency is cheap. My trip there was my favorite of everywhere I have been.
Winslowalrob
Where have you been abroad and what holds your fancy.I have to say that Capetown South Africa does it for me, followed closely by Brazil. I am gonna hit Capetown at some point, I hear nothing but rave reviews. For me; Accra, Ghana, the country of Barbados, and Bucharest, Romania are my favorite places. Romania as a country has the most gorgeous women, the other countries have the nicest people. And quality beaches, amazing food, topped off with favorable exchange rates . zoony
I would love to go back to Belgium... the Flemish part, that is. Great beer, beautiful women, beautiful cities, friendly people, and lots of history. + it is central to many different parts of Europe. If I had to live in a foreign country for any amount of time, Belgium is where I would go.
Goaldeje
I would say it is a toss-up between Kandersteg, Switzerland, and Florence, Italy. The views of Kandersteg are nothing short of breathtaking. Truly the most beautiful place i have ever seen. Florence, is, well, Florence. Art and culture everywhere you turn, food to die for, incredible architecture, Italian women, food to die for, gelato, chapels and monasteries everywhere, food to die for (oh, I mentioned that already?). Unfortunately, very expensive with airfare, but I will go again some day. I just have to get 4 kids through college first...
kevinklein
I visited Italy this summer. Tuscany is boring as hell, but Rome is a lot of fun, especially after reading Angels and Demons. I really want to visit England though. I think I know where to get on board the Hogwarts Express.
