WilberMarshall
<<< I Used the search option... didn't see it.>>> According to the 10 O'clock news on Fox 5 DC, Shawn Springs 24, MRI result came back... as a strain. Not the tear they feared. Waiting till either Andyman or George Micheal confirms it on Channel 4. Stay tuned.
Capt'n Obvious
If it is true then that is great news, obviously we need Springs to make a playoff run. :logo:

herrmag
I thought the MRI results had already come back negative, but that still didn't change his status for the game. Maybe I'm wrong....I've been known to be....From time to time.

Joe Gibbs II
Who is a threat besides Galloway? Clayton i heard is out and besides the guy who scored on walt harris (aghh), who else is there. Wasnt he something Shepherd? Control the 2ndary. Contain Carnell Force Simms to make quick decisions.

Mister Happy
http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=14334 -- SPRINGS UPDATE Despite a strained groin injury, cornerback Shawn Springs has not been ruled out of Saturday's Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, team officials said on Tuesday. Trainers and team doctors reviewed Springs' MRI on Tuesday and found no tear or sports hernia evident. Springs' status, as of Tuesday afternoon, was day to day. The team will release an official injury report on Wednesday afternoon, and at that time, Springs' official status for the game will be known. Springs will continue to undergo treatment for the injury in the next couple of days and the team will evaluate his status on a day-by-day basis. Springs re-aggravated the injury during last Sunday's 31-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Redskins4ever
I hope Springs's injury is not bad enough that he can't play against the Bucs. His talent is valuable to the defense. If Fox 5 news confirmed that his injury is only a strain then he can probably play on Saturday. Of course he'll probably need a few days more rest before gameday. Gary Clark used to go all week without practice because of some nagging injury and then play spectular on Sundays. I hope Springs can do the same. If not, hopefully Blance and Williams will have him line up on the slot receiver and play it safe. I have confidence in our other corners also. DButz65
They have not said anything about springs on nbc in the dc area yet, and dont think they are they already reported on the skins, George wasnt even on tonight. I didnt see foxs report, damn fiance lol
Dan T.
"No tear or sports hernia" doesn't automatically equate to "ready to play." A strained groin, even if not torn, can be debilitating. I hope he can go, but if he can't I won't be surprised.

Coach Williams
He will still be tweening DBTFL-QUSTBL and he will more likely than not re injure it during the game.....I know I had one that would go away then come back when I sprinted too hard
JCav06
As along as his health doesn't harm us, I'm fine with him playing. If he's good to go, I'm gonna feel a lot better about this game.
The Bounty Hunter #21
well lets hope that he is gonna be ok and he can play bc he has done an unbelievable job for our defense all year long....
MustangSteve
No ST last time either. The Bucs receivers will develop aligator arms Saturday. I think there too stupid too being they havent been layed out yet, after the first one gets Jacked Up, the rest will start watching there arms shrink

oriolesfan93p
I hope he suits up in case things start getting hairy out there, but the less he plays the better if we are up by a lot early... I see us needing Springs for the long haul, and I also see us beating Tampa w/o his help if necessary. Rogers is gonna be back, Harris is gonna be fine, Taylor will be there, Clark will be there, Jimoh is not as bad as he has been percieved in here and he will be playing too. The secondary is in better shape than it was earlier in the year when Springs was questionable or doubtful also. Springs not having a tear was a great bit of news, but maybe only great for week 2 of the playoffs if we can get there
50GutCheck
I think it has been said on more then one occasion, we have the best trainers in the business!!! If both Rogers and Springs play...and play healthy, this could get ugly for Simms :bucssuck :bucssuck :bucssuck :bucssuck
