MikeB
Who, like me, thought the Bears were going to drive into FG range and kick the game winner with no time left?
dreamshatterer
Not me. I had complete faith in our D with the crowd noise obviously affecting them.
TheSteve
While disillusioned with our inability to run out the clock I still had faith in our defense. I couldn't see Orton orchestrating a game winning drive.
Broohaha
i sure did. with the skins, it's always: "expect the worst, hope for the best" witness last year's game at dallas
Streater101
Not I. I have the UPMOST confidence in our defense. The only thing that can beat our D, is our O.

fansince62
bet A Brown sleeps better tonight! It wasn't on the D - it was on him!
Art
Only Norvousness would explain a Redskin fan being concerned with the Bears compiling a drive late when they'd failed to do so all game. A bit of that persists in the fan base, but, at no point did the Bears ever show anything on offense to worry us, save one blind fall down pass that was caught, which you can't really defend. NVskinsfan
Still amazed at the ineffictiveness of our offense.....maybe Ramsey needs to sit, and when Brunell becomes useless, Campbell will be the shot in the arm we need. lets not go from 1-0 to 1-4
LWC
Nope. I figured it was our strength going up against their weakness. I really liked our chances.
DonMagicJuan
i honestly thought someoen was gonna pick it off.... our D is too strong...Dallas will have trouble with it...bledsoe wont have the kind of day that he had today, put me on that

I was at least encouraged that we were able to move the ball fairly well against Da Bears. Also, we melted a little off the clock there in the 4th. I don't think last years version could've done that.
hail2skins
Since Kyle Orton was behind center, I wasn't that afraid. If Bledsoe is in the same situation next week, I'll be very concerned.
Art Monk 4 HOF
It seemed like a typical Redskins loss. When Matt Bowen dropped the INT on their first play of that final drive, I was convinced that we would lose. I could just see Orton hitting a lucky pass to Muhammed to put them in FG range. Dirk Diggler
I will take that situation every single time to decide every single game. I don't care if we are playing the Colts. If we have the lead and the other team has one possession left starting at their own 20, we'll win the vast majority of those matchups.

If they only need a FG... to WIN no less... no way. When it's 4 down territory it's hard to stop teams from moving.
SlinginSammy HOF '63
I knew they wouldn't get a FG. They didn't mount a long drive all day. Only points they had they had a short field to work with.
Bacon
Yeah, I figured we would lose, but we didn't, so I'm happy.
terpfan
I thought we would stop them. We've had a good recent record in season openers... It's what we do next week that will determine how this season goes.
TheLongshot
Why worry when they couldn't mount a drive all day? Jason
MorgantownHokie88
I won't lie, I was yelling at the screen for Gibbs to call a pass on the 2nd and 8. Go for the first down, and win this sucker, not to give them a chance, a la Dallas last year. I turned the TV on mute and closed my eyes on both of the offensive plays from the Bears. A W is a W, but it wasn't pretty.

inPORTISweTRUST
last year destroyed all faith i had in the skins in that kind of situation. the whole season if we ever lost the lead we we're f***ed the same with a bad call or play a turnover or interference call would throw our whole game off. today they kept with it though and never gave up i must say i was impressed.
