  1. I don't believe we are a good team, but hey we are not Dallas Cowboys bad. That playcalling was not even questionable, I was loosing my Thanksgiving stuffing on that fake punt and I'm a WSH fan. I was mad for the Dallas fanbase on that one. Zombie simply cant stomach playcalling that is that bad, regardless of its source. If your gonna beat a Div opponent, might as well embarrass them on Natl TV. Fun to watch
  2. I don't think you can reasonably be anything other than happy with his play. It was basically and emergency situation given our injuries at LT, and he filled in admirably. That being said I would in no way want to think about Moses as our long term LT right now. The Bengals have a pretty poor pass rush, so this was not exactly MT. Everest that Moses and the OL climbed. They faced a sub average rush, and did pretty great, that is the long and the short of it. I do sleep better at night after this knowing that in emergency in game situations, Moses is more than capable of kicking out to LT if need be, and that has impact on both peace of mind and Moses' worth financially speaking. That just under 10M for a RT deal looks a lot better now than it did last week.
  3. I swear every week it looks like Young pulls even more offensive line focus than the previous week.
  4. We badly need someone in the GM seat. We have no one looking out for our long term football interests right now, that has to change ASAP.
  5. Whoever scouted Gibby to be a pure running back with only 33 attempts of tape to watch in college should be running around their offices doing the A Rodgers Discount Double check. His development has been meteoric. I'd still like a more Kamara like roll for him, but you can not deny what he has put together with the opportunities he is presented with.
  6. Have not watched a lot of Bengals, so I don't know if there sack issue is A.) Burrow likes to hold the ball B.) Oline is turribad C.) A-B Whombo Combo Either way, pans out well for us. We could use a big day from our D-line
  7. I'll stay lukewarm on Cam Sims for now. I'm not getting too infatuated with a guy who has 13 career recs and a was not the healthiest guy on the planet beforehand. While we are in HORRIFIC need of a WR of his stature, it does not mean much when the player rarely attacks the ball and instead lets it come to his body. Double that when we don't take advantage of his size at all via playcalling. If we are not going to make people pay for not paying extra attention to a 6-5 guy with jump balls, we are probably better off running a small guy at his position since he would likely do it better due to shiftiness. He is big and fast, but I feel like his size is almost negated save for the occasional broken tackle. I hope to see his continued success, but I just don't see a longterm #2 on a healthy offense and I'd only slot him in as a three if you have a small lineup and we do a better job taking advantage of his size. He is actually getting some playing time now, maybe we are seeing rapid improvement rather than a flash? Who knows He'll be dirt cheap to re-sign, but I'm not exactly banging my tombstone for it to happen (Zombie Pun)
  8. Cam Sims is in the final year of his two yr deal. Considering he only has like 9 career recs, I don't see anyone banging down the door to bring him in. I'd be shocked if he got anything more than a 2-3yr deal worth 1.5 M in the Free Agent Market, and that is before considering next yr will be a down yr due to cap. If they want him, they can easily afford him. We get Harmon back, which is nice, but we are still in desperate need of another legit WR. Even more so if we continue to use Gibson in a non-Kamara like role and the constant dispersal of S. Sims role in our O. I think the best way to add the kind of player we are looking for is via trade. A lot of teams will need to cut cap next season, maybe we can take advantage and secure someones else's player for cheap. (*cough*M. Thomas*cough*) If we can make that happen, I will bust out my "I just found a fresh brain lying in the street" happy dance
  9. While he has the rushing and rec ability to be a 3 down back, its really hard when he is so bad in pass pro. I've loved most of what I have seen from him so far, but until he improves there you will continue to see a lot of McK and Barber Either that or you increase the amount of two back sets, or you give Gibby his plays at WR.
  10. Gotta take everything that comes from the team on the name change with a massive grain of salt as there is heavy insensitive to milk this thing for all its worth for a myriad of reasons. There is almost no way we hear anything concrete as long as the season is alive. (Zombie Pun) Any smart run operation would not be fully invested in a single name either. They should be jumping through the legal hoops on several possible names and focus testing a deep pool of designs. While they could certainly have narrowed down option A, options B,C and D should be ready to go as well, and that will add to the timetable. -Gotta compare and contrast the cost of doing business with Ark St vs the free uses of just plain Washington Wolves. -Gotta figure out how much time/money you want to invest in the WFT brand as that becomes lost assets the moment you change. The longer you wait, the more that financial band-aid will hurt coming off. -Without vaccines for the general public coming until the middle of next yr (likely) how would you market the new stuff to get it to sell? You cant exactly bring players in to model it, which would be the ideal option. You wont have that same herd effect of seeing all the new gear all over the DC area, which is important for acceptance. From a financial and acceptance standpoint it may be smart to wait. The more I think about it, there is a good number of reasons for a longer timetable. That being said, I am dreading another yr of WFT. 1 is enough.
  11. We can start by getting this man a Robin. Its amazing what this guy does being the only real threat in our receiving core.
  12. Nothing anyone would admit to, but it is noticeable on tape. Also I see it impacting his long term hustle. There have been a few occasions where the rest of the D-line strongly pursue a ball carrier to get in on a gang tackle, (where it is obvious he is not needed) and Young noticeably lets up in pursuit. Nothing in his way, and he may be even closer than some of the other guys but he clearly gears down. That was not something he was doing early in the year and I believe it is to ensure his own health as he is not 100%
  13. Bye week should help Young more than most. While he has been very effective (esp in the run game) getting his explosiveness back after that groin injury will be huge. And he will get another shot at a bad Oline after the bye, so I will continue to expect success from him. He has a good head on his shoulders and a good brain in that head, so I think he knows he needs to repair his body in this time off.
  14. Plz no to another year of WFT. I gave it a pass for this year, as a name change on short notice while doable, is a massive undertaking. I can understand the thought process of taking your time. There is no reason this should take more than a year however. Then your just trying to out wait the wave of negative press and use the name as a clean re-boot, but we all know it does not work like that. Just let us be the Washington WarmNFuzzies and take our money in exchange for a ridiculous amounts of Wolf merchandise and move into the next era. Not rocket science.
  15. As far as knee injuries go, you can't really get better news than that. I'll take it. If we IR him again does the Bye week count as 1 week of 3 for the short term IR? Since there is no game for us? That would open up another roster spot
  16. How bad is Wrights injury? When is St. Sims expected back?
  17. I think you would need to find the necessary darning deets long before a court trial. Trials can end in massive cash settlements where everyone's problems mysteriously go away and no one is punished in the traditional sense. If this thing goes to court, and Snyder is still in control of the franchise, I see even less chance of his removal than I see now.
  18. If we want to win games, the less snaps that go to Ryan Anderson the better. Man is killing me right now. And I'm a Zombie. Keep Kerrigan.
  19. 2 1/2 weeks ago Rivera was giving those same kind of pressers. He came just short of standing on a table to tell us that Apke wasn't playing as poorly as people were thinking, He was quick to point out that the Oline was making progress. Then he chooses to chase wins. That means jobs are on the line and people are held accountable. Apke gets some of his play shares given to Everrett instead of working through his pains himself. The Oline gets singled out (deservedly) for poor performance. And further more you get press conferences like the one we see now. Its just another aspect of where Rivera's focus is now. He's trying to win games. While player development is nice, it is not the primary focus the way it was at the start of the year and the offseason. While I think such an approach is a TREMENDOUS mistake with this roster, i don't think it is quite fair to label his press conference style as more abusive than anyone else's. When wins didn't matter, Rivera was one of the players biggest cheerleaders.
  20. Glad we signed Schweitzer to a three yr deal. That is working out well. Would be more than happy with him as a long term answer on the Oline. That has been a major bonus in Scheriff's injury. Now we know we have the person on staff to let him walk if that is the direction we choose to go. Finding space for Charles to get some PT at guard will be difficult w/ Sheriff back and Schweit manning the left side. It would have been great if he was healthy a few weeks earlier.
  21. Pretty sure AJ Green would be a single yr rental, so I would not give much. I'd love to have him in the short term tho
  22. Montez Sweat is not human I was loosing what was left of my mind when he ran that guy down in the open field. Massively impressive application of his 4.4 speed. There is elite, special and then inhuman. from a physical standpoint, the man is FRANKENSTEIN.
  23. I think this will lead to the continued usage of Wright but it would contribute to snaps for AGG as well.
  24. the D-line noticeably got winded way faster without that deep rotation, which is completely expected. Does not help when Anderson makes one of the worse read option takes I have seen in my life when he chooses not to take on the QB or RB and go inside on both of them. Lamar literally made the incorrect read and there is zero consequence b/c Anderson just blows by everybody. I was pulling the few hairs I have left on my scalp off on that one. As bad as our safeties have been, I am most disappointed with Anderson on this defense. This guy is in position to succeed, even moreso last week due to injury, and I am seeing next to nothing from him.
