  1. Even more than winning this game I hope that Chase isn’t out for an extended period.
  2. It’s like a battle of two under confident teams. A race to see who thinks they deserve to lose most.
  3. Cousins, even with his bone head throws, waslight years beyond Haskins at similar points in their careers.
  4. Just out of stupid frustration in the moment. Hopefully Dallas goes down tonight and I can get some revenge.
  5. Just received a telegram from an asshole Cowboys fan: ”On September 27th, 2020 the competitive portion of the unnamed football team’s schedule officially came to a close. Bwahaha!”
  6. It is getting close to the point where even the most ardent Haskins supporters will have to admit that he is not the answer.
  7. This surely doesn’t deserve a thread if it’s own and I couldn’t think of a more appropriate place to post it. This is the first in a series of 5 documentaries originally shown on Showtime that detail the formation, development and later integration into the NFL of the original AFL. I heard about it vaguely several years ago but had never seen it. I just started the third episode and I find it absolutely fascinating. They’re all available on youtube for those interested. Give it 10 or 15 minutes if you’re not hooked it’s probably not for you but if you are hooked settle in for a fun ride.
  8. 9. We need to add a shocked emoji or a man passed out from unexpected news to the four we currently can add to posts.
  10. In addition to getting man ravaged on his rushes Isaiah Simmons looked lost a couple of times in coverage as well. Definitely a work in progress.
  11. This will put me in the minority which is nothing new but you folks can have your wing drummettes. For me the best wing piece is the flat piece with two bones that when properly cooked can easily be twisted and removed without disturbing either the crispy skin or succulent untouched flesh waiting below. Now made defenseless and ready to be shamelessly ravaged with no worry of teeth banging into bone. Bone in chicken thighs are also the best piece for barbecuing. Juicy and tender with bite through skin seasoned up plain or with homemade sauce glazed on for a few minutes prior to serving.
  12. On a gut hunch I'm starting Antonio on two of my fantasy teams in the flex position. Long shot sure but I don't see how we win if he doesn't have a MUCH better game than he had last week. <fingers, toes and eyes crossed>
  13. True. Only reason we got all those views in slow motion was because the replay booth was trying to determine possesion. The statistician just gets one look and makes the call.
  14. Hopefully he’s the guy that makes the line calls too. Welcome to blitz city!
  15. I think that you are wrong on this one. i watched the play from several angles and what happens is pretty clear after viewing it carefully. You are correct that Payne hits Wentz first. However that initial contact doesn’t cause the ball to come loose. After Payne hits him the ball clearly remains secure in Wentz’s right hand as the hand first moves forward and then down. At this point with the ball still held in his right hand Wentz is hit hard by Chase Young from the other side. Chase actually pushes Wentz’s left hand directly into the ball and that is when the fumble occurs. My understanding of NFL rules is that a player gets credit for a sack AND a fumble if the ball comes loose from the passer as a direct consequence of the defensive player’s contact. Daron’s hit did not directly cause the fumble Chase’s hit did.
  16. I am usually high as a kite anyway. 😄 Be that as it may this is a passing league. One receiver can be stopped-- see last week's game film and the all over the field tight coverage by Slay on Scary Terry with a safety often sliding to protect against a deep throw. If by week 7 we have a chance to win the division-- the future becomes NOW. To hell with next year. Nothing is promised by being patient when you pass on an opportunity for greatness that's staring you in the face. Why play it safe? He who dares either wins or loses valiantly. The timid can stay safe at home by the fire sipping warm rum and telling "what if" tales about how they almost had it all. As for the money. Pay him his market value-- whatever that is. We made a similar so called break the bank move for Amari Cooper and failed to get him. We would be more dangerous today as an offense had we acquired him. A tandem of McLaurin and Robinson will inject fear into defensive coaches and players alike. "Fear is the mind killer."
