Howell's biggest red flag in college was holding the ball for too long. He is not a quick decision maker and would have gone undrafted if we didn't take him in the fifth. I can't believe people think Heinicke and Howell are better than Wentz. Rewatch last year's games, especially against New Orleans, Denver, and Dallas. Heinicke was God awful and couldn't throw the ball 40 yards downfield.

Ron was just saying all the right things about Haskins but he didn't mean them. He benched him after only 4 games. Snyder hired Ron on the contingency that he would give Haskins a chance. I said back in 2020 that if Ron fails it's his own fault for starting a QB he didn't like just to please the owner. That #2 pick was so valuable and we should have taken Tua or Herbert.

A good head coach can turn this team around quick, we have a lot of really good players. I swear this team has the worst coaches in the league. Jay Gruden said JDR has the easiest defense to read. Watching the lowlights of last week showed how slow Turner's mesh plays develop. I think we have the simplest defense and most complex offense. No wonder why we suck so bad.

If we lose this will be the beginning of the end for Rivera. No excuses. We are going against a backup QB. If we lose all hell will break loose. Players will start throwing the coaching under the bus. Things will get ugly.

Only a small handful of players were here before Ron. This is Ron's team and he should be fully accountable. No one would have supported dumping McLaurin, Payne, Allen, or Sweat. I'm really not concerned about the players. Our coordinators have been terrible and Ron needs to realize he sinks with them.

That theory has proven to be ineffective. You need to have a strong team in place before you draft a QB like the Chiefs with Mahomes or the Bucs with Brady. We need to bring in a young football smart coach. We have the pieces.

This team has too much talent to be as bad as they are. This will be Ron's last season. They are getting out coached every single game.

Jamin does not have the leadership personality to play middle linebacker. JDR wasted his entire first year forcing him somewhere he shouldn't be. I think Jamin and Cole can become better than average OLBs. We've already seen Cole have great games for us in the past. As crazy as it sounds, they need to put Bostic back in at MLB.

This is a fair post. Most fans including myself tend to overreact early in the season. Weird **** happens early in seasons. The great Cleveland defense that everyone raves gave up 31 points to Joe Flaco yesterday.

The Wentz hate has got to stop. This is the best offense we have had since Kirk Cousins. I would even say this offense has a higher ceiling than the 2016 team. The last thing we need is to bring another young QB into this dumpster fire. Those who think Wentz is the problem doesn't know **** about football, yes I said it. The Colts are the worst team in football, Wentz made them look at least average last year. JDR needs to be fired. This defense was historically bad last year and look even worse this year. Talent wise, we are average and not historically bad. I blame all of that on coaching. I don't care who to promote, literally anyone is better than Rio.

This right here! I'm seeing post how starting Howell or tanking for a top QB. There is nothing wrong with Wentz and Turning. NOTHING. The last thing this team needs is to bring another young QB into this ****show. Fire JDR and put Ron on the hot seat. We have the offense. Why the **** would we start over on offense.

I'm not opposed to that. I believe he is the only "football smart" coach on staff.

Why would we not fire JDR now? Is there any positive to keeping him? The season is still early and Philly will put up 50 on us next week. It gives us time to see if a new coordinator can get us playing better by the end of the year.

Bad defense. JDR should be released this week. Why would you not release him, it honestly could not be worse. You can't blame Wentz here, though some fans will.

Offense couldn't be worse. Worse performance of any team in probably the history of football. Holy ****.

A lot of people are overreacting. It's 2022, offenses will score points. Trevor Lawrence had a good game. Yes he made some bad misses but he did a great job reading the defense and shifting receivers around. He's one of the better qbs we will face this year. I liked the Jamin pick because this team badly needed a linebacker with physical abilities. Remember the Will Compton and Mason Foster days? We are a much better defense now.

I was more scared of Jacksonville than I am of Detroit. Lawrence is much better than Goff and Jacksonville has a young talented defense. But if you read Detroit's message boards their fans are not scared of us at all. To them this is a definite win. I predict Wentz builds on his confidence and has a big game. Good win! I've said this before, I think Jacksonville is much better than last year. I predict Lawrence will be a top 10 qb by the end of the season. Turner has got to stop with the screen passes. It hurts for than it helps. Linebackers have got to get better. But I'm feeling more optimistic about the season.

We are getting out coached. Plain and simple. It's freaking second and 2. Run the **** ball!

I'm glad we play Jacksonville week 1 because I predict they will be the most improved team throughout this season. They have a future top 10 qb and a future top 10 defense. They are building the right way and will be very competitive by the end of this season. But right now they are still too young and inexperienced. Have to give us the nod this game. Besides Dotson, I don't see any of these players getting much playing time. I said this in the other thread, should have just taken Hamilton and then a WR in the second. That would have been two starters right there. Ron's worst draft here in my opinion.
