  1. Tennessee has had the best draft so far. Tackle and then Levis. They tried Malik, didn't work, and moved on. Smart football.
  2. Well to put things into perspective I weigh 165 at 5'8. Am I considered "stocky" compared to Forbes? I could never ever in my life tackle someone like AJ Brown. He has small bones so good luck gaining weight. I just don't think this pick improved the team. Hopefully I am wrong.
  3. Haha I have started early. I'm higher on Steen than most, can't go wrong with Bama. He blocked the best rushers in the country and did a darn good job.
  4. If it's Bergeron or Steen, it makes the first round pick an easier pill to swallow. I really don't think there is much of a drop off from the 1st round tackles to the 2nd. We HAVE to draft a big boy in the second round. We all saw who Philly and Dallas picked last night.
  5. You said it perfectly. It was a bad pick and fans are just caught up in the moment. Teams won't fear him. I do fear Jalen Carter, Mazi Smith, and Nolan Smith. Our rivals got so much better last night and we took a 165 lb guy. I realize the top tackles were gone and we couldn't trade back, I get it. But imagine Kincaid in EB's offense. He would have helped Howell so much and a huge upgrade over Thomas. We screwed up.
  6. You take a TE and tell Thomas sorry, but that's how the board fell. EB would have loved Kincaid. (Wrong thread to dive into draft strategy, just answering your question). Plenty of great corners available in second or third round.
  7. I would love Steen in the second. He can play guard and tackle. Plus you can't go wrong with Bama. We need some size in this team to combat Philly's d-line.
  8. I appreciate everyone's optimism, but I'm still struggling with this pick. Can he even tackle someone like AJ Brown? Is he even going to start over BSJ or Fuller? It feels like we drafted corner because the media told us to draft corner. You would never see the Eagle's management draft a 160 lb corner. They will absolutely roll over us next year.
  9. Absolute terrible pick. Absolutely terrible. The eagles are building the line, and we took a 165 lb corner. Unbelievable. If you're going corner, at least take someone with size. This is the worst first round pick in year.
  10. Can't wait for the first round to be over to put this QB talk to rest. I'm see reports now about us liking Richardson. I'm sure we like him, but that doesn't mean he's the pick.
  11. What makes you think Howell won't work work? To me he has all the tools. Strongest arm we've had in 20 years. Plus he's mobile and extremely accurate. People need to stop comparing him to Hienicke. Noodle arm Hienicke was fools gold. Howell has real potential.
  12. My board is set. If one the big three LTs slip to 16, then that's the pick. If not, I like Darnell Washington. He is basically a 6th lineman on running plays. He won't be a big flashy TE like Kelce or Kittle, but he will absolutely make an impact on offense. It would be even better if we could trade back a bit, but I wouldn't hate taking Washington at 16.
  13. The more I review this class I don't think we take o-line at 16 unless one of the big 3 left tackles falls to us. Leno is above average and no need to reach at developmental tackle. I think we trade back an take best player available. I wouldn't be upset with that. If we could get Darnell Washington in the late first that would be awesome and maybe pick up another 3rd.
  14. If it was Bezos i'd be worried. Bezos would be trading with Arizona no doubt about it. But Harris is an experienced sports owner. He will spend the next year sitting back and evaluating. In my opinion, his biggest challenge is how our stadium is overrun by opponent fans. We have the most embarrassing home field advantage in all professional sports.
  15. If Broderick Jones is there at 16 do we take him? As much as I like D. Wright and D. Jones, I don't think they can play on the left side and should honestly deserve second round grades. We have a great situation for Broderick because he can come in and sit for a year behind Leno. From what I'm reading the o-line experts say if B. Jones was more polished he would be the clear #1 tackle.
  16. Couldn't have said it better myself. A corner in the first is a waste. You can get quality corners in the middle rounds. Draft the big boys early, they are harder to find in the later rounds.
  17. Henden Hooker is the 5th best QB prospect this year. He is not a first round draft pick. Average arm, concerns with mobility after an acl tear. He does get rid of the ball quick which is most important in the NFL. Hopefully we are evaluating him incase he slips to the 3rd or 4th.
  18. I may not have been clear. I was trying to say that Howell isn't limited like other late round pick. Players like Hienicke and Purdy are small framed and weak arms. Howell is bigger, stronger, and quicker. Howell was first round worthy. He actually showed up to the draft night 1.
  19. Why would we not go all in on Howell? He has all the tools. Howell is different than someone like Hienicke or Purdy. Howell actually has first round arm talent. What he did in the season finale was not a fluke. We are better off building around Howell than paying Lamar 1/4 of the teams total salary. Lamar will never win a Superbowl unless he drops his ego. Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen are the only 3 QBs worth a ridiculous salary.
  20. Glad we are not going for Lamar. If the Ravens believed in him they wouldn't have franchised tagged him.
  21. If D. Jones is there at 16 I think you have to take him. It's so rare for a guy his size to move the way he does. But what would that mean about Andrew Wylie? Aren't we paying him like 8M a year to start at RT? Still think the biggest issue on this team is the left side of the o-line, and it absolutely needs to be addressed this draft. Linebacker depth is a close second.
  22. I would agree with this. The problem for us though is we are fine on the right side. After Johnson I don't think anyone is a sure thing starting left tackle. I think Jones and Bergeron have potential but I haven't seen anything about us interested in them. It seems we have only interviewed right tackles.
  23. I've seen plenty of post about how fans think Brissett will be on the field next season. Some seem very excited about Brissett. He was 4-7 with a top 10 o-line, njoku, cooper, and chubb. That's pretty bad. My problem is this season should be about Howell and that's it. If Ron doesn't trust Howell then we should have traded up for Stroud or Levis. If Brissett starts this is just another wasted season and Ron should be fired.
  24. My money is on Darnell Wright at 16. We really need another tackle. I think we are ok at guard and center. I think Ron is eyeing a lb in the second or third. He must have a plan after letting Holcomb leave.
  25. Well Brissett didn't win anymore games than Heinicke. And Brissett was on a much more talented team. (Not saying TH is worth 10M either).
