Overall uninspiring draft. Going into the draft I felt our biggest needs were lb / safety hybrid , WR2, and offensive line depth. Should have just taken Hamilton at 11 and then get a bigger framed WR in the second. I feel like we over thought the draft.
-
DT has now become the biggest need on the team. I don't see Payne playing next year without a LTD. Why would he get hurt for a team that doesn't want him? Only Washington can go from the best DT unit in football to the worst in 2 months. Go ahead a scratch WR from the board at 11.

I have a gut feeling we are going wide receiver in the first. Last year only 3 of the top 10 wide outs were drafted in the first round. Statistically the best place to draft a wide out is second or third. I just think drafting a wide out in the first is bad business. The pick should be Lloyd.
-
I'm not buying the WR thing. Rivera is NOT going into the year without a MLB. Unless he thinks we can get Muma in the second. I still think it's Lloyd in the first. No one thought we were going Jamin last year.
-
To me our weaknesses are OL, LB, WR, and S. We should try and bring back Lucus and Flowers on cheaper deal. Draft Lloyd in the first and WR in the second. Never been a fan of drafting WR in the first. And then draft heavy CB and S with the last picks.

Quarterbacks cost money people, stop complaining about the price. What good is spending money on Amari Cooper when you have no one to throw him the ball? Who here really wants to spend next year watching a rookie QB learn and go 4-13? Not me. We have the second best QB in the NFC east, and Dak is not much better than Wentz. We are only a WR and MLB away.

I'm not a football expert by any means, but when I evaluate QBs in college I look for arm strength and quick decisions. Everything else is a plus. The three that have those traits are Pickett, Ridder, and Strong. To me Howell, Coral, and Willis hold on to the ball for way too long and tend to run too much. I think Willis will go in the first to team where he can sit for a year or two like Atlanta or Detroit. I don't see Howell or Coral lasting long in the league. Ridder has been my QB1 all season and I'm sticking with him. I also wouldn't mind Pickett.

I think Wentz is the best case scenario for us. Why would we trade the house for Rodgers who may retire in a year? Why would Dan trade for Watson with our new culture change? Wilson is just going to cost too much. Murray looks like he lost drive for football and may switch to baseball. Carr is staying in LV. There are no qbs this draft who have the talent Wentz has. I hated playing Wentz twice a year because he was so good. I would love to trade a second if Indy will eat some of his cap. And he will get revenge on the Eagles. Really is the perfect scenario in my opinion.

If the Colts release Wentz we shouldn't hesitate. If he can get over this mental block he is a top 10 qb. Don't forget that he was the mpv favorite before he got hurt in 2018 (I believe it was that season). The whole Foles winning the super bowl and drafting Hurtz really messed with Wentz. But he is a giant step above every qb in this draft.

Why do people hate Jamin so much? He is a rookie playing the second hardest position in football. In all honesty, he has made more impactful plays this year than Chase. -

I think people did like Herbert but we're too embarrassed to admit it. If I remember the general consensus was Chase at #2 and if you disagree than you're a flipping idiot. I'm not going into the Haskins thing because that was addressed in others threads. But Arizona answered the question in the 19 draft. If you have a top 3 pick....draft a QB! What we did was so stupid in hindsight. But I think we will have another top 3 pick this draft for redemption. -
That was really our chance to get out of the QB hole. I think we would have taken Herbert over Tua because of Tua's injury history. The problem is Dan would have never ever taken a QB. Haskins was his pick and he was not backing down. Haskins did play better towards the end of his rookie season, but he was still two strong steps behind Murray and D. Jones. We can blame Dan for this whole situation.

Ridder is the best all around QB in the draft. He is a top 10 pick for sure. Tall, strong arm, athletic, high character. He also has that baller attitude.
-
I'm all on board for Lock. He has a cannon. He has issues with his mechanics but he's better than anyone we have. If they are will to trade him for a 3rd I'd pull the trigger right now.

The sad thing is this. If we wanted to trade Young for a first round pick, we wouldn't have any buyers.
