  1. Trubisky made the pro bowl his second year. How does he not have potential? He is big, strong, and athletic. I remember when the Bears killed us on Monday night a couple years ago. I was very impressed with Trubisky. If I'm the GM I'm bringing in Trubisky on a 2 year deal and trading back this draft. He has the arm strength to run this offense and be competitive.
  2. I hate saying this because I like TH as a person. He is tough, has grit, and loves football. But his physical limitations are at the point where they are hurting this team. He cannot spread the field with limited arm strength. He is scared to take hits because of his injury history. And he's too short to run a 4th and 1 QB sneak. I think it's time for Kyle Allen. TH cannot win in Denver. It will probably be cold and windy. I will lose respect for Rivera if he tank on purpose.
  3. Why spike with 1 second down 14? Rodgers face was priceless. Like what the **** organization is this?
  4. These plays can't be overturned. Green Bays ball. Unbelievable. It's hard to judge our performance this game because we gave it to them today.
  5. I don't understand why people are off on Desmond Ridder? To me he has everything needed for modern day NFL. Tall, strong arm, and can scramble. If anyone from this class can become a Mahomes or Allen, I would say it's Ridder. Corral looks too skinny for a QB, he looks smaller than Murray. I'm concerned if he can take NFL hits. And Willis needs to sit for a few years which won't work here. Picket doesn't have the arm strength for first round pick (though he would be an excellent day 2 pick). What am I missing on Ridder?
  6. Thankfully I took the family on vacation this week and couldn't watch the game. But I was at the Saints game and it really stood out how weak Heinicke's arm is. The Saints did not fear Heinicke's arm, at all. They played tight coverage on the line all game. I think Heinicke is a great guy and exceeded expectations. But Kyle Allen is the better option. He will open the playing field which will help the run game and time of possession which will ultimately help the defense.
  7. It seems there are 3 sure thing first round qbs next draft: Corral, Willis, and Ridder. Personally, I like Ridder the best. With his size and speed, if anyone could become Josh Allen like it will be him. Corral seems too skinny for the NFL. I think he weighs 190 which is smaller than Murray. I think Willis has Murray potential but he really needs to sit for a couple years and that wouldn't work for us. Howell, Strong, and Pickett seem to be the Tier 2 guys. Pickett is an intriguing option as he seems like an athletic version of Kirk Cousins. I just wouldn't take him in the first due to average arm strength. I'm not a fan of Howell or Strong. We cannot enter next season with the same QBs. I know people will laugh but I think Trubisky is an intriguing option. He has a cannon and can scramble. There were times in Chicago where he looked Josh Allen like. Obviously Rodgers and Wilson are options as well but how much are we willing to spend?
  8. I don't understand the hate for Kyle Allen. He is stronger than Heinicke and quicker than Fitz. To me he is the most complete QB on the team. Why not give him a chance this year? We already know Heinicke and Fitz are not the answer and the season is washed anyway. What am I missing?
  9. I was at the game, first game in 5 years. I couldn't believe how many Saints fans were there, at least 35 percent. Probably the world home field advantage in the league. Heinicke is not the answer, he cannot spread the field with his arm strength. Defense looks unmotivated. I blame this on coaches. Overall, we are not close. Might as well start the rebuild, again...
  10. O-line has been **** good. Picking up Flowers and Cosmi were the best decisions of the off-season. We also have depth. I give Rivera credit for fixing the line.
  11. The defense played poorly. But to their defense, I saw two of the worst calls in years. The Holcombe fumble recovery that got called back and the roughing the passer. Those were game changing plays and absolute terrible reffing.
  12. Jay Gruden's team played better defense. Yes I just said that.
  13. I think Corral looks smaller than Heinicke. I looked it up and he is lighter and only 1 inch taller. I want a big QB like Allen and Herbert as I was beyond impressed with both of them. I do think Corral is a first round QB because he is an absolute freak athlete with a strong arm. My concern with him is size. So far I like Carson Strong and Desmond Ridder better than Corral but that can change. I don't think Rattler and Howell with be franchise qbs. Willis needs to sit for a couple years and that won't work for us.
  14. I'm frustrated because I thought we were just a QB away. But in reality we are weak across the board. And to make matters worse this is a very weak QB class. Every QB is less than 6'1. There are no big prospects like Herbert or Allen. We need to draft LB again in the first round and consider bringing in a young veteran QB like Trubisky, Goff, or Mariota. I didn't realize how important arm strength is until today's game in the wind. I like Heinicke, but he is not a franchise QB.
  15. The defense sucks all around. Chase Young is a jag. Yes I said it. I think he is a quality starter and may have a couple pro bowls, but he was non-existent today. That is the most concerning part of this season. I though we were just a QB away. Are 2 lbs, a CB, a FS, a couple WR, and a QB away. Holy ****. At least the o-line is playing well this year.
  16. The Haskins pick will haunt this team for years. I really think we would have taken Herbert over Tua because of Tua's injury. Herbert and Burrow are killing it and for some reason our football experts thought Haskins has potential.
  17. There are no franchise qbs this year. Every top QB is under 6'1. There are no josh Allens. I guess we can take the top pass rusher because we don't have one.
  18. Heinicke is bigger than Russel Wilson and Kyler Murray. He's also bigger than a lot of these top prospects like Rattler and Willis (though it's a terrible draft). So I don't want to hear any critics talk about size. Arm strength is the ONLY negative I have for Heinicke, but his x factor in my opinion makes up for it. There is no reason why he should be pulled when Fitz can play again. It's Heinicke's team.
  19. I'm not worried about the defense right now. Sure, they have looked like a bottom 5 unit. But defenses tend to improve over the season, especially ours that has depth. Offenses are so overpowering early in a season but once they start losing players to injuries things seem to level out. I don't know, that's where my head is at to try and make sense of how bad our defense has been so far. I feel like I'm watching a Jay Gruden team when I'm excited on offense and nervous on defense.
  20. That was a good play by Jamin Davis. He was covering Barkley and make Jones hold the ball.
  21. Nope. This game is only on nfl network. Staring in October TNF switches to fox and amazon. Bull ****. Now I have to find a sports bar.
  22. At that time the team thought Haskins was going to be this top 10 franchise qb. That's what frustrates me and it will take years to get over that pick. Worst draft pick in years. We lost a second rounder to trade up for Sweat and then lost our perfect opportunity at #2 to take a real qb instead awful Haskins. And I wouldn't say we definitely would have taken Tua because of his hip injury. Herbert was there and we missed him because of poor past decisions.
  23. Herbert is everything we wanted Haskins to be. If it wasn't for Heinicke, this would have been an absolute blowout. Fitz looked like absolute ****. Defensive line is overrated, Herbert literally had all day. This may be a bad season fellows.
