Some of you guys are gonna get diarrhea from all these advanced stats/metrics and wind up missing a pretty fun season. đ @Conn Thanks for posting those Charles cut ups. He certainly is flawed but his good reps are super impressive. Letâs hope the staff can get a little more consistency out of him.

I think EBâs nature is to call a pass heavy game. He did seem to get a better feel in the second half, which is about the best Iâve seen our offense look in forever. Balanced. Screen game. Impressive runs. Red zone efficiency. They were in a rhythm for sure. Iâm excited to play Buffalo. Letâs play a hand at the big boy table and see how we do. I personally think we will be competitive against the better teams on our schedule, especially if our defense shows up.

Payne is a terror.

I felt like he was a bit more decisive today. It seemed like he hit the underneath routes with a better sense of urgency. Taking what the defense was giving him sooner. But that 45 yard rope to TMac was an eye popper for sure. The dart he tossed up the sideline to (maybe Turner?) was nice too. Entertaining football.

That. Game. Was. Awesome. The âwin that feels like a lossâ comment is funny to me. We havenât won enough games to feel that way. We have been the laughing stock of the league for the past three decades of my life. That pass to TMac was a top shelf, step up and rip it ****ing laser. The kid got his first pick today. AG even had some really nice plays. The offense found a rhythm today. Thatâs my main takeaway. And Chase gives us a mental/physical boost. Letâs keep it going.

Sam is a smart kid. I think heâll adjust when he realizes âyou ainât got Wake Forest bearing down on youâŚthese guys can playâ (one of my favorite Parcells quotes). I think his clock will speed up a bit and youâll see him giving up on bad plays sooner. He looks like he belongs out there. Letâs hope he doesnât get killed before we can truly evaluate him. đ I expect a sharper game from him this week. He looked off to me after that big hit. But the kid is fearless for sure.

I know where you stand. I donât want our HC to be our GM either. I have said I would replace Ron in both roles, which is the most likely outcome of this season. Iâm pretty sure you and most here will get your wish. I do think there is a less likely scenario where Ron would stay on as HC but relinquish his GM duties for the final year of his contract, which is not a much discussed option on here. I predicted a playoff appearance. I still think thatâs a possibility. But I expect wholesale changes is the more likely outcome. I expect Howell and EB to make strides each week and that our defense will put us in position to win a lot of games. We shall see.

It reminded me of when Chuck Cecil of the Cardinals knocked out Ron Middleton decades ago. They had a picture of it in Sports Illustrated. Middletonâs helmet came off and was lying on the ground beside him. The chin strap was still buckled. And as someone who has watched every game Sam Howell has played, he definitely didnât look right to me after the hit. Iâm really surprised he went back in. -

Nice write up @KDawg. Agreed on all counts. I feel like I enjoyed watching this game a little more than most here. Iâm still optimistic that we can have a good season. -
Because of Sam mother****ing Howell.

This is a competitive football team. Itâs laughable to me that some of our fans canât see it. Get prepared for a fast start, and to be proven wrong at every turn this year.
-
This is a logical take. I just think this is the start of a great relationship between Harris and the fanbase. Iâm betting that the fans will see Harris doing his part (they already are), and they will wanna do their part. Which is to show up every Sunday and support this team. I also think people are underestimating the amount of hatred for Dan Snyder that exists. People will show up in droves just to spite him. And I donât think that will wane over the course of one season.
-
I disagree with this narrative that there is a âwindowâ to keep the fans excited and that âwindowâ is primarily based on wins and losses. I believe most fans lost their excitement due to the fact that Snyder was a disgusting pile, and he made everything about this organization (the team/stadium/FO) difficult to root for. I expect sellouts of every home game this season no matter what happens on the field. Of course, there are varying degrees of excitement. But I think people acting as if we go 5-12, that FedEx will turn back into a ghost town/rival takeover party will be mistaken. Those days are over.
