    I hope you’re right. I’ve got nothing against the guy it just feels like Campbell is the one in Detroit that keeps everyone in line. There’s certainly more than one way to skin a cat. I’m excited for whatever direction we want to go.

    Ben Johnson comes off as an OC more than a head coach. Just the vibe I get. I’m not as high on him as others are. Whoever we get, it will be nice if the process goes through normal channels. That will be worth celebrating in itself.

    I’m not sure what people expect Ron to say during these pressers. He knows he’s a dead man walking. Not sure why people get so stirred up about it. He’s failed plenty on the field this year to lose his job. And he inevitably will. I guess if Keim is hearing he might get canned after a Dallas blowout…it’s a possibility.

    I saw Stroud throw an out route (to the opposite hash) on third and long with the pocket caving in around him immediately. Ball was perfectly placed. WR grabbed it and toe tapped right at the sticks. It was the kinda throw that makes you take notice. That kid is really something. I do dream of a day when Sam can step up into a clean pocket and really let it rip.

    It felt like Sam was getting to his check downs/backs/TEs more quickly today. The kid looks more decisive every week.

    Another disappointing loss. Overall, a pretty hard fought game on both sides. I was entertained. I am enjoying the emergence of Sam Howell. That last drive was awesome. Disappointed in the defense. Again. That side of the ball has been an absolute disaster. I’m higher on Bienemy than most here. I’d like to see us be a little more balanced and everyone can nitpick play calls here or there. But I don’t understand the outright hatred of the guy as a coach by many here. That feels overdone.

    I really don’t understand the “if Ron stays” discussion. His chance was to have a great offseason and a great season. He’s had neither. He’s made it an easy decision for Harris.

    That’s the elite deep ball that he throws. Feathery bomb…if you will. His deep ball touch reminds me some of Boomer Esiason. Just crazy good touch on balls down the field.

    I think people in general don’t watch these other QBs play. I watch TLawrence make terrible decisions/throws. I watch Herbert do idiotic things every week. I watched Mahomes make mistakes and play awful in Denver. I think people might confuse great QB play with “mistake free” QB play. One of those does not exist. Sam has played well this year.

    This team is always less than the sum of its parts. I’m glad they pulled the trigger today to move both those guys. We just have to cross our fingers that Harris gets the FO hires right. We can’t afford to have the kind of reckless, compulsive nuttery that Tepper has brought here to the Panthers. Gotta get these hires right. Keep the core guys and establish a singular vision/culture. We are due some good fortune.

    Nice trade (the Sweat one I didn’t see the Chase one until now 😆) I think this is by far Ron’s worst coaching job. I’ll be happy when we have a new FO, we need a reboot. But this talk about Ron trying to torpedo a deal or block a trade out of spite feels like a reach.

    Howell can play. All of the backhanded compliments and “but, but” criticisms feel kinda silly. If the new regime took over TODAY, they would be foolish to kick him to the curb. He was elite today at times. I’m sorry if people can’t see it. Quan can have one bad half and he’s a bust. Howell can measure top half of the league in almost every QB metric for half a season behind a **** OL and it’s “we’ll see”. Give me a ****ing break.

    Penn State punted after a goal line stand. Penn State got the ball back back after it touched an Ohio State player.
