I assume I am included in this bit here. 😆 To be fair, I said I would replace Ron because I thought we could do better. I just didn’t agree with the nitpicking of everything he ever says or does. For instance, I could give a **** what Ron says to his wife after a football game. I still don’t. But the coaching this year (especially on defense), I think has ben Ron’s most disappointing season yet. The offense is about what I expected. Howell has played about as well as I expected overall. The Bills and Bears games were enough for me. I expect they were enough for Harris as well.

Somebody elite!! Haven’t you been following along!! 😆 I think Ron’s and the entire FO’s fate is sealed. I think Sam still has time to prove himself worthy of a shot with a new GM/HC (he has already done so with me).

Sam takes too many sacks. But people are downplaying how well he has played. He is top half of the league in any metric you want to use. Sam is really smart (top Wonderlic score of his class if I remember correctly). Sam is tough as nails. Sam puts in the work. All of these things give me high confidence that he will figure it out. Why do people act like his sack numbers are a finished product? Are we just bored and in the doldrums of another **** season? Probably the latter.

To be clear, I’m not taking about him “as is”. I just think he will be a top ten guy.

I think Sam Howell is a top ten quarterback in this league. I’m excited to watch him grow.

It’s cool we have time to make up our minds about him. Let’s do that instead maybe.

I think Howell gets too much on that deep incompletion. It was 3rd and forever and there was safety help in the middle of the field. Was it a great pass? No. But people acting like he missed a layup are reaching.

Shhhh. No facts in here. 😆 I’m not sure I’ve ever hated a defensive unit as much as I hate this one. Coaches, scheme, not all players but a lot of them. Zero pride. Just going through the motions. Just a disgrace in a pantheon of organizational disgraces.

Our third down defense is amazing. Top shelf. Eat **** JDR.

Because it’s been five games. I still see skills on his college tape. So did a lot of scouts. He’s getting acclimated. To say he’s struggling big time right now is fair. To say he’s a bust is silly at this point. The Rivera regime is almost over. I think the hatred for all things Ron spills over to his draft choices, perhaps unfairly at times. I wish we’d support our rookies more than we do around here. Or our players in general. If they are good we complain that they aren’t great. If they’re Pro Bowl we complain that they’re not All Pro. Some people here still think Ryan Kerrigan is overrated. So yes…it feels insufferable at times.

The guy has played five ****ing games. Let’s give him at least a full season before we crucify the guy. Our fanbase is insufferable at times.

Which is fine if you’re winning. But we are not. Obviously. 😆 I don’t give a **** if JDR is beloved in the locker room or not. The performance of his unit is the most embarrassing in recent memory compared to expectations. Their effort level would suggest they don’t love anything football related. Especially contact.

Yes. They panned over and showed that he was eating a Fun Dip after Logan’s fumble. Total child.

I like BRob on the quick hitters. The outside zone or stretch plays don’t mesh will with his skill set. I actually think BRob has looked better this year than expected. I’d like to see him stick around.

I thought the defense would be good enough this year to hold us in games and that Sam Howell would play well enough to win more of those games than we’re used to winning. I am an optimist (as most know 😆), but I am still disoriented by how awful last nights game was. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a defense look as disinterested in contact as I did last night. Forbes. Butler. Davis. They all had plays where they looked like they were in helmets and shorts. This team completed mailed it in last night. When Vick killed us back in the day, at least the Eagles were good.

What a pathetic showing. Effort was abysmal. That first half was an epic letdown. Watching this team is a ****ing chore.

It feels like a Taylor Swift and Tool concept album.

The defense has really torpedoed this season. We needed to be able to lean on them until the offense could find a rhythm. It’s upsetting because it’s fun watching Howell play.

Need a ****ing turnover.

You were always gonna need three scores to win. Take the points. Keep momentum.
