  1. Well I'm in a strange place. I had committed to switching to the Ravens, I'm following their draft reports and getting familiar with their roster. I have purposely avoided any Washington draft talk. Now with this latest revelation I have no idea which team's draft to follow. Is it possible that they kick out Dan before the draft? No that's not possible. But I feel more positive with each day which seems to bring yet another report, all bad for Little Danny.
  2. You don't get the difference between walking or riding down a road and trying to cross multiple lanes of 60 MPH highway traffic? Really? I certainly hope the story that he ran out of gas is true, that would make it easier to understand. I did this once, the way to my school was quickest if I crossed 270. I could not believe how fast the cars came upon me, didn't try that again.
  3. Has any more information come out as to why he was on that highway? You were right to call me out from making those comments on the day he died. That was wrong of me and I apologized. However it doesn't change the accuracy of what I said, he has a well documented history of making bad decisions and this appears to be another one.. So we're back to the timing which was clearly wrong on my part.
  4. Absolutely but it's insensitive to point that out on the day we learned of this tragedy. And of course what Gil Brandt did went beyond insensitive. I'm just confused on what the timeline is where we can say this without sounding insensitive, pretty sure the same day is too soon as I have learned.
  5. I wasn't Gil Brandt but you do have a point. I guess I'm just confused on what timeline would be appropriate to point out that crossing a highway, or in this case multiple highways, was a dumb decision. I guess I should have given it a day or so, my apologies.
  6. This is crazy. I only hope we learn that there was an explanation, like his car broke down or whatever instead of learning that he died by making yet another stupid decision.
  7. So apparently he died crossing this highway, which is a crazy thing to even understand. Who in their right mind would try to cross this highway?
  8. I am always stunned when I hear news like this, just heard about this. What a horrible thing to happen to a 24 year old. This has ruined my Saturday.
  9. What a freaking roller coaster. We were up, then after hearing so many say the ticket thing would be almost impossible to pull off for such little money, we felt the air leave the balloon. Now it's inflating again? Does this guy who testified have actual evidence or not?
  10. And.....this is exactly why so many of us refused to get excited at the possibility. Now here I was ready to pay attention to the Washington draft, now I'll just return to following the Ravens.
  11. This is what I was hoping I'd see when I got up, reports like this. I am like most everyone else here, I'll believe it when I see it. But stories like this often come true, there is so much smoke this time. So how does this get "proven"? Will the league interview the witnesses? Does anyone trust Snyder's books should they be audited?
  12. If you are implying that Dan Snyder has inside information of other owners and their cooking of the books I have to question that. By reports he has few friends among the owners, I think it's clear that Jones wants to support him because he's in the division and keeping Snyder helps the Boys win.
  13. I had forgotten all about that. Thanks for bringing it up. This is in fact a game changer. It was pretty clear that the other owners were split on what to do with this pig. He was already on the fence. I know I should not say this but not sure how he survives this.
  14. I'm not sure what to make of this. I would not put it past him but I'm concerned this new investigation could make some feel this is piling on, Snyder may actually come across as a sympathetic figure to some. But then again this is more bad looks for the team and with it the league and I'm wondering just when enough is enough to the other owners.
  15. I wasn't aware that Travis was leaving but that's good news to this old guy. His demo is not me, I can't stand all the screaming etc.
  16. Can others explain exactly how Jada constantly embarrassed Will, I mean other than the affair that has been covered.
  17. My initial take is I'm cool with it. Will Smith is a really good guy, he saw his wife's reaction and given all the other stuff they have dealt with he had had enough. I too believe his initial laugh was due to the cameras. But now I realize what he did was over the line. I'm not all bent out of shape about it, I can see why he felt the way he did. But you can't do that.
  18. Oh I get it and I'm not trying to temper your enthusiasm. I'm just saying Washington fans will get excited the way Jags fans got excited when something called Gardner Minshew started the season playing well.
  19. I predict he will start out playing well, and to this fanbase any competent QB play given what we have seen will look like a huge upgrade. Fans will get all excited, then the inevitable happens.
  20. Don't get me wrong, we all know how this will play out. But for the life of me I don't understand this level of criticism. They were never in the running for the top guys. So their options were Mariotta, Tribusky and other failed starters. At least with Wentz he showed the ability to play at a high level at one time, you just can't say that about the other available options.
  21. Sorry for the late reply. What I'm saying is just like with ticket and concession sales, which are solely to the team, the loss of AB as a Washington sponsor has zero effect on the NFL's bottom line.
