  1. Seems pretty clear to me that Snyder is sensitive to the criticism. We see him respond (mostly through is lawyers) constantly throughout his ownership, often referring to them as "hit pieces". If he didn't care why would he keep responding? One of the things he likes the most about owning the team is it allows him to hang with Tom Cruse, Mathew McConaughey and pretend the cool kids are his friends.
  2. I have not and will not criticize a poster for retaining support for the team. Like you I tried to look past what Snyder is and still supported the team. But everyone has a breaking point and like you this once hard core fan has had enough. I just can't root for the team because when I do that I am rooting for Daniel Snyder and I can no longer do that.
  3. If you really believe Daniel Snyder is not effected by all of this criticism I'm going to suggest that you are out of touch. Snyder is clearly aware and very upset at all of this.
  4. I was going to say pretty much the same thing. Dan is being criticized for only the stories we know about, there should be little doubt there are a ton of other stories we are unaware of. So no he gets absolutely no benefit of the doubt and the people who have stuck up for him look pretty foolish right about now. Even if all of this ends up in nothing happening with regard to the team ownership it brings me joy that he is well aware of all the criticism and he can't be happy about it.
  5. Your last sentence was what I was trying to point out, I got to believe he of all people is tired of all of this. And the stories are not going away even after Congress halts the investigation. Seems to me if nothing more is done through Congress the damage is already done on the PR front. We need national sponsors to put pressure on the league.
  6. Here you go again, claiming you aren't a Dan Defender. Here's a little help: Saying negative things once in a while mixed in with countless times you rush to his defense will result in the comments made to you here. I have not see anyone agreeing with your takes, I have however seen multiple people call you out for defending the indefensible. Even your own dad disagrees with you. Constantly rushing to Dan's defense, and constantly being critical of his critics, is not a good look, Dan Snyder appears to be a strange hill to die on Your occasional critical comments do not offset the constant posts you make to defend the indefensible, Dan Snyder.
  7. Holy **** dude you really have bad takes. It really needs to be explained to you what a bad look it was on that specific day to make a comment on employees looks on the owner's yacht? Really? That is nothing short of remarkable. My take is Goodell has to be pissed that he had to go through that. I can't believe he is not in favor of removal, and he can share his feelings and recommendation to the other owners. Not sure what that will mean but I do believe he is fed up with having to cover for him. I also am enjoying Daniel Snyder getting rung through the ringer so completely. We just know he is pissed about all of this. And we have not even gotten into the latest accusation, one that has direct ties to Snyder that we were all looking for. How any of you can watch that man in his box in September and actively root for his team to succeed is beyond me. Not me, I hope Jacksonville drills them 53-2.
  8. Goodell failed miserably when asked why a written report, with redactions, could not have been supplied as it was with every other scandal. Cleary the league knows stuff they are covering up. So we have this, the Mary Jo White investigation, the inability to get a stadium deal and John Gruden's law suit which is proceeding and offers more revelations. It's all the hope we have and even though I refuse to believe it will ever happen but there is obviously a group of owners who have had enough of this horrible man.
  9. To me the highlights have been the news that Snyder would be issued a subpoena and that Rodger has never seen a worse workplace environment. Of course he had no credible answer why a written report with names redacted were made available in other investigations,
  10. People are laughing at this post but I was dead serious. If you take a settlement and sign an agreement that you will keep you mouth shut how can she tell her story later without ramifications?
  11. What time will Goodell be talking to Congress? Can someone who is a lawyer, not the son of a lawyer, explain to me how someone can accept a big settlement with a signed agreement not to discuss the event and then be able to discuss the event years later without violating the agreement and therefore subject to a law suit?
  12. Yeah I don't buy the argument that he wasn't put In position to make players. He just didn't make them.
  13. You nailed it. Brian is entirely too arrogant, his schtick about how tough he is and how dad was hard on him and that made him tough got real old, I'm glad he's no longer on 980.
  14. I continue to ask why can't Congress invite Beth Wilkerson to testify? I do find it interesting that Rodger will testify, I didn't think that would happen. He has been covering for Dan throughout all of this, I don't see that changing now but under oath it could get interesting. The first question I would ask is was there really no written report, and if so why not?
  15. I'm still trying to figure out what positives Jason Wright has brought to the team, other than not being Bruce Allen. I'm convinced the rushed Sean Taylor memorial was Snyder trying to take the heat off, still the porta potty shot etc made it a clown show. The new name and rollout? Enough said. Posters here caught him in a lie, not sure the context, but there's that too.
  16. I agree with the other poster, I don't see it in VA anytime soon if ever. As for the "rushed " part he has been working on this for years, he is growing impatient and wanted a new stadium deal for a while now
  17. With DC and VA now off the table, at least for the time being and Snyder has no interest in waiting any longer, that kind of leaves Maryland. As the state will not offer anything other than infrastructure that kind of leaves the current location which has the room to build a new one without the need to tear down existing fed Ex Field.
  18. This is what people are failing to understand. He was not fined for just his Tweet. He stood up and took questions in an official capacity as an employee of the team and made the infamous "dust up" comment. That's not just saying something on Twitter, this is in fact "conduct detrimental to the team" I do believe. .
  19. As bad as it was I don't think that was a fireable offense. As bad as he's been it won't help the team to fire a DC this late in the offseason.
  20. Yeah I don't see people lining up to be Dan's minority partner. Who wants to get in bed with him? There is no guarantee they'll ever get full or even majority ownership.
  21. We're getting dangerously closer to the line boys. Back to the stadium even if he finds a site, or uses RalJon, can he afford to build a stadium with all his debt?
  22. You are not worth the effort to flame you. You have made an ass out of yourself and don't need our help. We have done a pretty good job of toeing the line on this topic without making posts political to respect the forum rules. You crossed that line with your "woke" comment. As for Ron's comment it was rock solid. But I have to disagree that Jack now "understands the difference of the events". I don't think his opinion has changed one damn bit.
  23. OK fair enough, I had missed that part and only heard of this recently. But that does nothing to change my take. Again why not at 10 years which was a much more significant anniversary? We all know the answer to that. They were under tremendous public pressure, so they slapped together a tribute with little time for people to make arrangements to take the pressure off and buy good will. Hell in Jason's letter he admitted that the screwed up royally the first tribute, so now this is their mulligan? Or perhaps more attempts to buy good will. Regardless Sean's memory deserves better than to be used as a PR stunt.
