Got back from St. Thomas today after 8 nights there and it was nice to almost be back to normal. There was very little mask wearing there but that was only when outside, which was most of the time. But if going to purchase items from beach bars or something like that, everyone would mask up to get their food/drinks then leave and go back to your spot and masks off. Going in the grocery store they did temp checks and masks required. Restaurants you had to wear em while walking to your seats and once there in your seat you took them off. Everyone obeyed and did it. The indoor restaurant we went to had less capacity than last time we went pre-covid. The other ones we ate at were outside or open air seating so they were probably at normal capacity. All tourists on the island had to have a negative covid test 5 days prior to arrival too so you also feel a bit safe just knowing that as well. I was pretty surprised how crowded Dulles was, especially today. It was like everything was back to normal as far as crowds go. And god damn I hate that ****ing airport. But now back to normal mask wearing back home and in moco it looks like it's same as it was prior to leaving, which is okay with me.

Can't watch that without getting some dust in my eyes.

I thought Mortal Kombat owned. People saying the acting wasn't as good as the OG MK movie... I'm guessing you haven't seen it any time recently. The acting in it is TERRIBLE. But that is what is so awesome about it also. I have it on bluray and pop it in every now and then. It still holds up and has some great fight scenes. Music is fantastic in it too. From the very opening scene I thought the new MK movie was FANTASTIC. Initially I gave it a 10/10 but after cooling down a bit and thinking about it, I'd say it's more of an 8/10 to me. I also think that the new addition of Cole was better executed than I expected it to be prior to watching it. It wasn't really necessary though as there is enough in the MK lore, but I was okay with it, although it was a bit predictable as to who Cole was within about 5 minutes lol. As for why I dropped it 2 points... I thought Raiden was better than Lambert as Raiden. Sure I'm sure I'll be in the minority because everyone is on his nuts, but he kinda sucks in general. Raiden isn't supposed to be some old white dude. And he didn't do jack **** in the OG MK. All I wanted from Raiden in either MK movie though is a god damn super man so I coulda heard him scream HAYAMAMHAYAAAAAAA!

My son's now been in school for over a month in MoCo and it's going fantastically. The virtual school day on Wednesday is a joke though so it's really him going to school 4 days a week with Wednesday off. But aside from that, he's loving it. When he goes to play with the kids down the street who opted to stay virtual, we don't even have to tell him to put on his mask. He puts it on and wants to wear it, because he knows he goes to school and the other kids don't. He's also 6 and can handle this and makes that decision. Personally I wouldn't care about him wearing one playing outside with the kids he's been playing with the past year, but it's good that he wants to do it himself. I know the other parents like him doing it too.

Let me know your thoughts. After having some time to cool down after the hype of watching it, it does have some flaws clearly, but I still loved everything about it. There is one major thing that kind of bothered me but it was basically just me wanting the plot to be a bit different. They are clearly going to try and make more of these and hopefully the gripe I have about it is resolved in the future. But, I get why it was the way it was.

Just want to say the new Mortal Kombat movie ****ING OWNED! I loved everything about it other than the sound on HBO Max was some **** compared to what a bluray would be. I'll get it on bluray when it comes out though. But holy ****. It is AWESOME. I got hype so many times and Kano was ****ing fantastic.

Damn we may have got that too when we bought it. I just don't remember since it was in 2012. Either way it's sweet cause I was also paying $1k more.

Nah I looked at the breakdown. We're using the same company to refinance with too. heard that this is normal though for refinancing. I just had no clue about that since I've never done it. I did just wire $10k for closing costs though. That was kind of odd. Felt like I was getting scammed lol. Never done it before.

So we closed on our refinance today and I had absolutely no ****ing clue that we get to skip a month's mortgage payment. Our first payment isn't due till June 1st and we don't pay **** for May. Perfect timing since we going to St. Thomas on May 7th. Dude we were on a 30yr at 3.875% I think and now we're on a 15% at 1.625%. It makes a HUGE difference. It's more than "shaving a little off". We had 22 yrs left on the 30yr and now we have 15yrs left and are only paying $10/month more.

We are closing on our refinance today in 100 minutes with Navy Federal. The title company is coming to our house for us to sign the documents. We were on a 30yr loan with 22yr left on it and switched to a 15yr loan and we're paying $10 more per month than we were for the 30yr loan lol. Shaving off 7 years for $10 extra per month due to the rates being so low.

I hopped in the car mid-interview with the guy who wrote the Smith piece in SI, and the guy who wrote it was like... SI: In paragraph 5 where we talk about him not having a calf... EB: Wait, what? Can you give more detail about that? I wasn't aware of this. SI: They moved what was remaining of his calf on the back to the leg to the front of the leg, so his calf is on the front of his leg and he has nothing on the back. EB: Wow so that is why his leg looks all clumpy. SI: Yep, this is all in paragraph 4 of the article. At that point I was like "this dude can't even read the article the guy he's interviewing wrote, about a subject he has a lot of interest in." He is such a lazy ****. You can tell by how he always whines about everyone being in shape and how anyone that is in shape is on roids, etc. He by far looks the oldest of the Junkies because he doesn't take care of himself at all. Lazy ****.

JP just said he talked to a cardiologist and his recommendation was to get the vaccine 90 days out after he had his last negative covid test, and EB is like "you don't need it, you have the antibodies" and then JP continued talking about how he still has symptoms and is going to get it. But yes, EB, a dumb ****ing sports jock, knows more than a cardiologist, about the medical field. Can't stand the misinformation that fat **** is spewing on his platform.

Good. The sooner these devs ditch PS4 and X1 support, the quicker we will see games that actually look and feel next gen.

As a Marylander myself, I will say, Maryland crabs are overrated as ****. I would much rather have Alaskan king crag legs than MD crabs 10/10 times. Picking them apart is not fun and it's not satisfying at all and they don't fill you up for ****. Old Bay is good, but it's also overrated. Not as much as crabs themselves though.

Yeah our friends who used to live in San Diego moved back to NoVa last year. Only reasons were because COL is ridic out there and all their family is back here. But now we have no reason to go visit San Diego really. I liked going out there but without having friends to visit, I wouldn't go out there. I would come back every time looking for jobs out there but the jobs out there pay way less than the DMV and the COL is like double, so F that.

Finally I know EB's Extreme Skins handle. EDIT: And anyone who thinks any beaches in NC are "nice" beaches haven't traveled to many beaches. Anyone saying anything along the east coast, north of southern Florida, in general is a nice beach hasn't traveled very far. Sure they are peaceful and calm and can have a good time and I love going there with my family every year, but compared to beaches down in parts of FL where you can see your feet in more than 1 foot of water, they are crap. The only reason I go there is because our family rents about 5-6 hours and hang on the beach all week under like 4 canopies. It's basically a yearly family reunion. I would much rather do it elsewhere the logistically it doesn't work for everyone. I wold take this over North Carolina 10 out of 10 times.
