And if you look around, you’ll likely find the people focused on that (not just making a comment, but seemingly only focusing on this aspect) are the same ones with low-information yet strong opinions on the matter. Hell most of them don’t seem to have a grip on more than a fraction of the publicly available information… pretty easy way to evaluate the quality if one’s opinion.

Time to make my new kegerator. after moving twice and sitting in storage over 3 years the only part of my brewing equipment that didn’t make it was my kegerator. which is fine the chest freezer I made it out of was 10 years old when I got it for free and then I used it for 5 years so, whatever.

I also get up at 6 am regardless of when I go to sleep (unless it’s after 1 am…) I AM A MACHINE

Kegerator was busted, new chest freezer showed up today so I’ll build that tomorrow. crushing work late at night While crushing this bottle of eagle rare I am now going to make some air fryer cheese fries

Actually I love the abc system… I don’t understand why everyone hates it. They do lotteries and auctions and they’re just random. And every store I go into the people are awesome and it takes a onetime 2 minute conversation to find out what day and time their truck deliveries are their website inventory system is usually spot on accurate… they’ve started rolling out home delivery… online order/pickup already exists…. idk what else you could want. Maybe it’s an area thing and I’m just lucky the closest 5 stores are run and staffed by cool people? I mean all I gotta do is walk in and tell them 3-4 bourbons that are my favorite and they’ll point me to less popular, readily available stuff that I’ll like. I’d say they’re usually right 70% if the time, which is good enough for me…

Doctor says it’s not RSV. Apparently there isn’t a test for it? 🤷‍♂️ doctor said she doesn’t think its covid either but did a pcr test because he’s in school and unfortunately she feels the need to be better safe than sorry since he’s around so many other kids and kids are so vulnerable right now. She’s confident its not covid flu, strep, or other respiratory virus are what she thinks. Strep test was done. unfortunately the flu test wasn’t done. You can only stick a large q til up a 6 year olds nose so many times before he makes it clear that he thinks you can go **** off somewhere else with it. she also highly doubts it’s the flu as they just aren’t seeing cases of it yet. SO MUCH FUN

She does, but she’s on call for the entire hospital system this week so I get it all to myself for now and no…. We gave them up 2 years ago when no one would buy them anymore. I haven’t gone in 4 years. I haven’t watched a game on tv in its entirety for at least 3 years. The real issue was the timing of awful things: we now have 2 kids, the older one stopped being free, we’re really busy, the team is a disgrace, and the name changed. The blowup of the rg3 era started a cascading “I’m embarrassed” feeling that reached what feels like a point of no return with the whole filming cheerleaders naked without their consent thing. interestingly enough this is the first season I’m interested. Don’t follow player moves anymore (who was our #1 draft pick? I have no idea) but I feel likes it’s make or break for the Rivera era and I’m curious… so I’ll watch. And the first time I think “same old **** show” will be the last time I watch for the season probably… sucks man. Ruined something I really cared about. Oh well. if I hadn’t found the tailgate so interesting and if there’s weren’t a number of active posters I have some relationship with… I’d have quit posting/reading here too…

Yeah I’ve got a group of friends that stand in line on delivery day and snag anything they can, then we sort out everyone’s inventory and get things to people who are low in whatever. this time around I got the eagle.

Buddy picked me up a bottle of eagle rare this week. Just gotta get it from him. but, that meant I was all too happy to open the 1 bottle I had so did that last night (i try to not open stuff that’s harder to get until I grab a second bottle, otherwise I tend to kill it off and then have none for months )

So. Um. Kinda if mentioned all this, this morning while getting ready, and wife sorta verbally smacked me around over it. she insists the cdc is and was recommending this and the Biden admin is just pushing the fda to move a little faster. so. I don’t know. I can only find stuff on the immunocompromised recommendation. Maybe I’m missing it. Maybe she’s confusing closed door meetings with public releases. I don’t know. The saga of being a parent of a sick school child during covid continues: woke up way worse. Fever. Super nasty cough. it honestly lines up with RSV perfectly, including the staggered/progression of symptoms part. So while it’s absolutely possible the rapid covid test was a false negative (whole house got covid from a family member we didn’t know was anti-mask back in October, and I never tested positive in a rapid…) things really just line up for RSV. Should know later today. fun fun fun

Or as I like to call it: the Russian model. (blah ok I realize in this thread that may sound weird but when Russia messes around in Eastern Europe their model is to basically level everything and leave with a “if you make us come back it’ll be worse” tone to it)
