Had the Ole Miss game on last night. Was multi-tasking but I did not come away with a positive impression of Corral as a top 10 kind of guy. Seemed loose with the ball with a few fumbles, and throws didn’t seem very accurate or powerful. Anyone have differing thoughts on that performance?

Hopkins: 7 years in NFL Slye: 3 years in NFL Slye career % is lower than Hopkins on XP and FG. if you look at just last few years for Hopkins, when the XP was pushed back, these are much closer. Other difference is, in 3 years, Slye is 12-20 on 50+ yarders. With 56 being his longest kick all 3 years. in 7 years, Hopkins is 14-27 on 50+ yarders. While only achieving a 56 yard long once. The upgrade Slye provides in clearly confidence in attempting 50+ Yard kicks. we’ll see if he does well with everything below that 🤷🏻♂️

AP: Congress mandates new car technology to stop drunken driving
“Misdirection” replied to China's topic in The Tailgate
This is a good idea in theory but in practice will find resistance. There’s most certainly a large segment that are and will be hesitant to give that kind of control to either an operating system, a corporation, or government. Car companies may resist as well. More liability on them than the consumer by having to develop, install, and maintain these controls. Then there’s the sabotage angle. The existence of these systems implies the ability to lock someone out of a car, that they own, completely. Or; limit them to whatever speed limit you want to set. And then there’s the “what if I was in danger” angle. And to avoid an accident; I needed to speed up to evade some obstacle or dire situation. Or some kind of bad guy after you, he may have figured how to get past these speeds, but you are limited. These are all situations most of us may never encounter. Certainly much less likely than speeding or driving drunk. But these would be some of the most immediate arguments against. For the record, I’d probably be fine with this change. But seeing as everyone above is in agreement.. thought I’d throw some opposing views into the mix. -
Seems likely to me Sean’s family was told to attend the alumni game and they would be there to be honored for him, and that’s where guys like Ryan Clark heard about “something” happening. However, recent events have forced them to go from honoring Sean among others during homecoming, to highlighting Sean with a Jersey Retirement. I haven’t read someone say: “we knew about the retirement weeks/months ago”, only “we knew they would honor him” would love to be proven wrong if I just missed something though also no matter what, 10K towels and 3 days notice is an abject disaster lmao

wonder if the folks we protected this week are in positions more likely to get scooped up by the giants. it’s a short week against them and there’s always inter-divisional poaching
-
…. Not sure if you’re serious 🧐 (if you are, this is a meme page unaffiliated with the NFL)

McCain came in to NFL as a corner. He makes Moreland expendable being able to play both. We have a very versatile nickel package
-
Some of these decisions make it clear to me that not everyone can be kept on potential alone. Sometimes keeping a guy like Apke, who can play multiple positions (how well.. we’ll see), and is a special teams contributor, is very valuable. If he never becomes a starter, but improves enough to not be a liability and play STs until his speed wanes… that’s a valuable commodity because his price tag will never be up.

Tired: signing Cam Newton as backup QB Wired: signing Cam Newton as our Peyton Barber replacement your move, Ron
-
Pretty sure he was signed as a straight up FA. We didn’t do the program to get him. No special rights to him this way, other than we had first dibs lol. *** thought this post was the last in the thread. I see several others already answered. Sorry for the duplication of efforts 😅

They’re going to keep all 3 QBs. Do we not remember the Johnson/Sanchez year? With a defense like this you can’t waste time. Any of our 3 can play well enough to go on a run. Way more QB scarcity than WR/RB scarcity in the NFL. Also aren’t practice squad rules different now? Service years doesn’t matter, anyone can agree to be on it. At least, that was the case last year. Also on Carter, McQueen is right. For a PR specialist, he’s average at best, with more fumbles to his name than Sims. I don't get the appeal.

I’m tired of the Cam Sims slander. Our offense was the opposite of explosive last year… for a lot of reasons. Cam made explosive plays for us. In the regular season. And in the playoffs. Not a pre-season hero… real production.

Wow that is a deep cut, and I salute you 😂

So does LA take on all Max’s deferred money or does that stay with the Nats? -
Love the positive momentum of Allen and Thomas signings headed into camp. Just some positive news for everyone to talk about and I’m sure guys are over the moon for Logan being recognized, this will be the real life changing money for him.

The Random Thought Thread (Stadium Edition)
“Misdirection” replied to Toe Jam's topic in The Stadium
According to some posts I’ve seen on Twitter from posters/mods, the team pays the hosting or subscription bill for the site, and simply hadn’t paid for whatever reason. I haven’t seen a pinned thread explaining anything. So i guess things may still be in flux? -

Finally copped a PS5. Ended up with digital edition. What’s everyone doing for TVs these days? Im looking to upgrade in the next few months. Think I have an idea but curious what the vibes are around here. For context, I currently have a 73” Mitsubishi Projection from roughly 2010 that’s 1080p and 120hz. it’s not just for gaming, it’s also our main screen for streaming. Not sure I’ll stay that big I’m probably looking for a 65” with 4K. I’m leaning LG OLED sub $2k at the moment.
