  1. Finally copped a PS5. Ended up with digital edition. What’s everyone doing for TVs these days? Im looking to upgrade in the next few months. Think I have an idea but curious what the vibes are around here. For context, I currently have a 73” Mitsubishi Projection from roughly 2010 that’s 1080p and 120hz. it’s not just for gaming, it’s also our main screen for streaming. Not sure I’ll stay that big I’m probably looking for a 65” with 4K. I’m leaning LG OLED sub $2k at the moment.
  2. Now that we have a defense people want to play for, we’ll get more prove it deals. More mercenaries. Look how it worked for Darby. This DL will make him look better, and he can get paid elsewhere. We get comp picks. Rinse repeat.
  3. I heard recently if you want to switch numbers you have to buy all outstanding Jersey stock at retail price easy for Landon Collins, maybe not Kam Curl lol
  4. If that’s the case it’s a failure. There is no way that is their intention. A backup plan, sure. Your statement makes it seem like that is plan 1a. At this guys size/measurables, which are according to RAS the 2nd best profile ever measured among drafted tackles, combined with his 35 starts at LT and RT, if he ends up a guard we need to fire our oline coach. scherff moving to G was one thing. He had agility/length concerns at T that we’re apparent before and after the draft process, and immediately at training camp. Cosmi has no such issues, and honestly, his height alone makes G tougher. If scherff leaves, we have Schweitzer, Flowers, and Charles at a minimum to work on replacing him with. Cosmi will be a tackle.
  5. UKs post above is what I was responding to, might be the only instance in this thread. But it’s a common enough theme on this website and it drives me bananas lol
  6. Why are we always trying to replace guys lol. Kendall Fuller at $10 mil is a good deal now and in the future. He’s exactly the kind of player Ron wants. Guy can play outside, slot, and FS. He’s won a championship. And he’s performed at a high level, just not as consistently as we’d like. Guy hasn’t met a WR screen he can’t shut down. We’re so quick to get rid of guys on our roster just to sign other FAs on the market, or overrate the talent we drafted. The grass isn’t always greener lol
  7. Ron values position flex too much to not have a few RB/WR/DBs be able to return. I don’t think he’ll keep a guy that can only return and provide no real value elsewhere
  8. Perhaps one reason there’s less developing of QBs is the quality of scouting and identifying guys that can play his higher, just based on resources and technology alone. previously guys that can play weren’t universally recognized and could be had later in drafts and stashed. But nowadays those same guys would’ve been 1st/2nd round picks All said... I have nothing to back this up but conjecture lol
  9. I almost went with 60, changed to 80 at the last minute to see if you’d run with it 😄 glad you played along haha
  10. Once Fields was gone, I was out on QB in the draft this year. We have some high upside options in Allen/Taylor/Fitz that only cost $$$ at this point. adding another with a 2/3rd would’ve been wasteful I think. Ive convinced myself at this point that we’re getting our QB next year. That will be year 3 for Ron and company. Even if we go 9-7, 10-6, make playoffs and win a game. Anything short of a super bowl and Dan will be feeling the urge to grab that QB it’ll either be a big splashy vet trade for a disgruntled elite older QB, or it’ll be a top 5 pick. either way I predict Jamin Davis is the last position player we draft in the first for the next 2-3 years lol
  11. I’ve seen the comp here before but Dyami Brown occupies the same space in my head as Stefon Diggs coming out If he can perform at even 50-75% of Diggs production that’s a big win for us also Dyami Brown, like Stefon Diggs, is just a sick WR name there’s no way he isn’t good
  12. I know we can flex DTs out to DE, but our DE depth after Chase/Montez is very weak. Toohill is a JAG. Smith-Williams is JAG or slightly better. these new guys, WBK and Shaka, both seem undersized, Shaka especially so. WBK in particular is the pick I’m least sold on. Someone please tell me why I should be excited for him, I want to be an optimist so I need something on him to cling to lol Toney is VERY small for the position I feel like, I almost thing he’d be better at LB but I hate drafting just to change someone’s position like that.. his speed is silly though reminds me of Dadi Nicolas out of VT a few years ago I’m also worried about LB depth if Jamin goes down, we still need more there I’m weirdly fine with FS. I liked Reaves last year, and I think Forrest can handle FS
  13. If cosmi ends up anywhere other than LT it’s a serious indictment on our coaching staff IMO this dude has ELITE athletic gifts to make up for any arm length issues, and a work ethic to match. it may not be starting year 1, game 1, but I see great things on the left side
  14. I’ve heard some safety talk but I definitely see him as a man corner. He’s got elite length, and elite short area quickness. There will be coverage over the top to help. we should be giving BSJ an equal amount of praise for his 3 cone as we all ripped DK Metcalf for his I think in 2 corner sets, he’s off the field unless against guys like Golladay maybe. In 3 corner sets, he’ll play outside and push Kendall to slot (if all are healthy)
  15. Thought I’d throw you the bone, can happen to anyone 😂
  16. Guys he’s a 2nd TE. His targets will be manufactured, very rarely a primary target. He doesn’t need to be elite at separation. His ability to block (and catch) will give our formations credibility to hide our intentions to run/pass. because of that, he’ll be targeted on PA routes and check downs for the most part. and if he gets 1-2 catches per game, he’s doubled the production of our entire group last season. if 80 year old Jason Witten can get out of the booth and run PA drag routes and squat in zones for 4 yard curls, Bates will be fine.
  17. This guy is exactly what we needed idk why some of y’all so pressed about him. TEs that can’t block are luxuries, and only valuable if they’re elite talents IMO. Otherwise, they’re just as much a liability. It telegraphs too much to a defense, cause you take them out on running plays, or ask them to do something they can’t. a guy like this, with excellent blocking, if you think his hands were undervalued in college, has more value to our offense than a receiving tight end you have to teach to block. im see bates as a critical contributor this year, that will seriously help the run game
  18. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Rodgers to see what Manning with Denver, and especially Tom with Tampa, have been able to do with having some hand in personnel decisions. He’s on their level, and I’m certain he believes the right WR in the first instead of Love, + whatever the trade up cost, could’ve made a big difference this year Look at everyone in Tampa taking sweetheart deals to stay together and run it back. Nobody is flocking to GB (partly because they don’t pay FAs) to give him those resources
  19. Does anything like this exist for this year? Someone here posted this a few seasons ago, found it really helpful to look at position depth as things went on
  20. Nah if we don’t find one this year, and we don’t find ourselves in the top 5, I’m 100% down to acquire whatever elite disgruntled veteran is out there Give me Wilson, Rodgers, Watson, in exchange for 2-3 1st rounders and some change If I can get 2-3 title runs out of this defense and a QB like that, I’m pushing all the chips in
  21. Benefit to RB in 1st vs 2nd is the 5th year option. Add on one or two franchise tags, and you have the 6-7 best years of an elite talent already locked in. then you let them walk as they approach 30 and let someone else pay for past production
  22. More on Darrisaw Doesn’t finish??? pancake on Surratt maybe it’s just a consistency thing because this dude is finishing lol
  23. Someone mentioned earlier abut Khalil Herbert not being a returner. For what it’s worth he did return kickoffs primarily for VT this year while being the starting RB. Also, Deablo is an interesting LB target. He says here teams have mentioned a position switch. From memory, he was a much better Rover/SS player than FS in coverage. And at his frame with 4.4-4.5 speed, absolutely fits the mold of what some teams are seeking at LB This looks a bit of a late clock start to me, but even with that, I have no doubt Farley is a 4.35 or better. Was always the fastest guy on the team On Darrisaw, I’ll have to defer to folks watching him specifically every game, but from watching VT games the last few years, that guy was unbelievably talented. I’ve seen him finish/bully quite a few defenders, I’m not sure I fully buy that critique
