  1. Game at 6pm sucks. Reasoning was TNT wanted to maximize TV revenue. They had Celtics vs. Bulls @ 8, and Warriors vs. Blazers @ 1030 if they needed a game 5. But now Warriors swept, so there's an empty time slot, thus moving Wiz to 6PM and Celtics to 830PM. Sucks that TV rev means ridiculous time slots for fans to actually attend the games (this one, and 1PM Easter Sunday rather than the following Monday night), but money talks!
  2. Coach Brooks and most of the team came up to our offices at lunch today and got everyone some Dunkin' Donuts, a few of them even hopped on some sales calls to close a couple deals! AWESOME! Marcin was feeling it today lol. Jogging around giving donuts away, then at one point looked down to my 4'10'' co-worker and just said "WHOA". Dude is hilarious They really appreciate the home crowds they've had at VC this year. Hopefully when we play someone like the Cavs we can maintain even 75% Wizards fans.
  3. I'm full time. Shoot me a PM I'll let you know if there's something I can do.
  4. I work at the phone booth. Didn't watch the actual practice in their practice room, saw those 2 on the main court as I was walking around the concourse.
  5. Kieff is the man, and emerged as far more of a leader than most of us likely thought. Exactly what we need, and on a killer contract. Saw him and Porter shooting threes on the court after practice yesterday, he probably stayed an extra 20 minutes working on his 3's. Guy is locked in right now, and in Millsap's head.
  6. Even with these strict gun control laws, and looking at the situation that unfolded, I can't think of one possible way that this could have been prevented, once the kid was already in the classroom. No teacher, student, or security guard could reasonably have reacted quickly enough to have changed what happened in that room. The only possible way to have prevented this, would have been a heavy security checkpoint outside of the school. But at that point, what's to stop the same kid from simply opening fire in the crowded line and taking the same number of folks with him, or doing this in a grocery store instead. I don't see a realistic solution for these problems. What can be done whether pro-gun or anti-gun to improve the situation?
  7. Surprised this hasn't been posted anywhere yet. Perhaps I missed it, nevertheless, this is truly awful. It's been Facebook's top news story most of the day. There is highly graphic live surveillance footage floating around on Facebook, saw a few snippets as I was scrolling through. Couldn't watch it all. http://foxsanantonio.com/news/nation-world/mexico-youth-shoots-teacher-classmates-then-kills-himself-01-19-2017 MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — A 15-year-old student opened fire with a gun at a private school in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey on Wednesday, hitting a teacher and two other students in the head before killing himself. Another student suffered lesser injuries in the shootings, which were captured on a chilling video posted to social media. Nuevo Leon state Gov. Jaime Rodriguez said the shooter died at a hospital and that the other three victims with head wounds were "fighting between life and death." The boy wounded in the arm was out of danger. A video, apparently from the school's surveillance camera, shows a female teacher handing out materials and students seated at their desks when a boy opens fire with a pistol from a sitting position, hitting a boy sitting in front of him, who immediately slumps to the ground. He next shoots the teacher, who was looking in another direction, and she falls to the ground. The boy rises from his seat and walks around, firing shots at his classmates, before turning the gun on himself. His first shot apparently misses his head, and then he runs out of bullets. The shooter runs to his backpack, apparently to reload, as his classmates cower at their desks. He appears to say something to the surviving students, who begin to rush for the door, and then he shoots himself in the head and falls to the ground. The crowded classroom was left with a jumble of overturned chairs, blood and fallen students.
  8. Yes and no The first AFL team he bought is the Washington Valor, playing at Verizon Center. 2nd team he bought, is the Baltimore TBD, playing in Baltimore.
  9. Watched Black Hawk Down yesterday. One of my all time favorites. It had been awhile, and every time I watch it I realize another person that has hit it big. Seriously, look at this cast. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265086/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast Obi-Wan The Incredible Hulk Legolas Bane Mr. Fantastic Lucius Malfoy Tig from Sons of Anarchy Ari from Entourage Jaime Lannister (1st American role?) He was the one I just noticed. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting, but even this many is ludicrous. Make the same movie today with this same cast, and your casting expense would be egregious.
  10. You can't have success as a football team if you don't have confidence to be able to get even 1 yard or a 3rd or 4th and short. It's embarrassing. We don't even try to run in the red zone. I would expect us to run a QB draw before any sort of tailback even sniffed the ball if I was the other team in the red zone. And we haven't even done that this year! This might be what the league has been steering towards, but the decision not to carry a fullback when Scot says he's building a strong, tough,"know you played us" kind of team is baffling. It's basically punting on short yardage runs all together in favor of bubble screens and slants.
  11. Slightly unrelated, but for fans of books, and content that was made non-canon, this Rebels trailer will achieve the nerdgasm you've been waiting for.
  12. Damn Lukas Kuba needs to pick how he wants to refer to Tomas and stick with it. 5 minutes of tweets and he's referred to him 6 different ways. I counted: Tomas Satoransky Saty's Satoranksy #Satoranksy #saty TS
  13. I suppose so. I'm admittedly somewhat ignorant on the subject, and haven't been through the process myself. If that is the same, then I'm definitely with you on teaching in schools.
  14. Agreed. Perhaps this is an uber-****ization of the 2nd amendment, but why not allow gun sales only through government fronts, like an ABC store set-up? Private sales need to be brought in for inspection/background checked/etc. This combined with school classes teaching gun safety/training seems like a strong way to control the process while still allowing people their guns. Might lead to more guns, which would keep the industry happy. Thoughts?
  15. This sounds AWESOME... and it might not even be in the movie now...
  16. It seems "Vet min + Incentives" has been replaced in the ES vernacular with the "1-year prove it deal" RIP VM+I
  17. Don't be fooled by its foreign build and whimsical, easy-going appearance. The Binks truck is the monster solely responsible for the global warming crisis we now find ourselves in. No-one took it seriously, until it was too late. According to the internet, at least. Have it on good authority with a guy I know who's brother posted his roommate's uncle's theory on Reddit. It's totally legit.
  18. Agreed. I didn't mean initially either, I'm talking a more long-view approach. I'm not terribly concerned with it, but there's always the risk of mailing it in or jumping the shark after this original trilogy brings in the Brinks trucks.
  19. They can put out as many movies as they want for all I care. If they suck, I won't watch them again but I'm all for trying as many angles as possible. Hopefully the main storylines bring in enough revenue to diversify against risk of stand a lone films, meaning the stand a lones can be more artsy/less of crowd pleases that hopefully leads to stronger stories. That's the dream, anyway.
