    They show the game live here in Charlotte when not directly scheduled at the same time as the Panthers. We were getting the tape delay Friday at 8. Wonder if they'll bump The Bachelor in Paradise for the game tomorrow?

    No live game for us here in Charlotte this week. Panthers play at the same time at home, so they will show it on tape delay Saturday at 8PM.

    We need to stop using Golden State as the "gold standard." They had periods from the mid 70s until the mid 90s when they were a **** show, until Run TMC came along. Then after they left, they were not that great either until the last few years. Did they build it the right way? Sure, I can't disagree with that. But to me, the "gold standard" is the San Antonio Spurs. They've been doing it the right way for quite a few years now.

    As you guys know, I took Spurs as my team years ago. Just liked the name. I see a lot of vitriol for them. I don't really know the history, so could you guys let me know what the deal is. I see "Spurs being Spurs" etc., but I'm just guessing at what you guys mean. Are they hated or just know as a joke/soft team? They've been a pretty consistent team over the years. Not world beaters. but usually in the upper part of the ladder. Looks like we got a draw the opening weekend.

    We finally get a kicker who can boom it in the endzone on a consistent basis to combat our crappy special teams coverage units and now they move the touchbacks to the 25 yard line. Was reading that they want Hopkins to learn to pooch it towards the goal line. We saw how much of a disaster that was when Danny Smith had Graham Gano doing that.

    Perhaps there might be a change. But if you watch all the live training camps all across the NFL, a lot of other teams players are wearing generic practice pants without stripes. I've said many times in this thread, I'm on record for; Home- Burg jersey, gold pants Road- White jersey, burg pants Alt- throwbacks.
