  1. Not comparing the 2 at all let me say that from the jump, but the Chiefs rolled out w/Mahomes his 2nd season and let’s be honest not only us as NFL fans but I bet even Reid & Co. didn’t expect him to be as good as he is (arguably the best QB in the NFL) and other then going down the route of another high end FA like Carr or Jimmy G (who I would rather roll out w/Howell over both anyways) who else could we go with, Wentz or Heinicke? Or Unless there’s a draft day trade in the works to move up and grab Young, Strout or Levis (which I can’t see happening) we need/have to go w/Howell
  2. I didn’t mean to sound like I was disagreeing with you cause I’m actually 1 of the guys who actually likes what we have in Howell dating back to his time at NC…. Howell for all probability shouldn’t have been a 5th round pick but a lot higher at worse a 3rd imho…. A lot of my saying that is/was too myself cause it’s been along time since we’ve seen good QB and I don’t want to get my hope up too much lol ….
  3. Exactly, that 1 game against Dallas no doubt was a breath of fresh air and definitely raised eyebrow’s but we can’t get overly excited… after all there have been a lot of 1 hit wonders and I’m not talking just music & VH1 stuff
  4. Totally agree and w/the right OC and if Howell has even a remotely good season then I think we get a double digit win total and in the playoffs. I actually think bringing Bieniemy in is a win win for all parties… I could easily see Rivera staying 2 more yrs and then Bieniemy could/would step right in as the HC and Rivera up to the FO in some capacity…. We as Commanders fans should actually be hoping for that scenario to happen, imho it would mean we’d be a successful team and definitely heading in the right direction
  5. Totally agree… where ever the price lands it will take place… as you stated if he doesn’t sell I could easily see FedEx bailing just to name a few and then good luck trying to find another sponsor for naming rights… it’s happening when and for how much is still TBD but it’s happening
  6. Bieniemy isn’t a fool, even working w/Reid for all those years he knows it all starts up front, it also isn’t a coincidence that the Chiefs have 2 key FA OL this off season so he’s be nothing but dumb if he didn’t ask what Rivera & Co plan is to improve the OL… their FA plans and/or draft plans…
  7. For me it’s a no brainer… Chiefs have to open against the Bengals…. For so many reasons, arguably the 2 best QB’s in the NFL at the present time plus this is slowly becoming a huge rival specially for teams that aren’t in the same division…. And let’s be honest the last 2 seasons their games between each other have been very close and very intense…. So the NFL needs to make this the opener of the season…. At worse make it a SB game again with the Eagles, any other teams besides the Bengals or Eagles is/would be a huge let down imho
  8. that would be a easy NO… he isn’t arguably the worse he is plain and simple the worst throwing QB in the NFL… and he’s to old to change anything remotely worth ever being a half way decent throwing QB… add to that you would be willing to give up a #1 for him? That’s what they are expecting in return …. Again a easy NO… I’d rather them make a play after Trey Lance or Jordan Love at least we don’t know what they are whereas we know what Fields is… plus could get either of them for far less then a #1
  9. I know over the years a great friend of mine who happens to be a Ravens fan… but before that when Bmore didn’t have a team he was a Giants fan… he has used the excuse that of his 3 SB trophies as HC 2 of them came in Strike Shorten seasons… but the 87’ season they still played 15 games that season so was it really shorten. So maybe just maybe a lot of others feel that way too… honestly I think it’s more he’s a humble and gentle type of guy and isn’t brash or self promoting and never was even with the likes of Parcells and others during the same spans who were more vocal and outspoken… unfortunately being humble for some reason always get confused for being weak or not strong… Gibbs imho is neither of those things imho…
  10. His stint in Buffalo before Josh Allen he had Robert Woods & Sammy Watkins at WR and had Tyrod Taylor at QB, and from pure stats alone all 3 players had their best season at their position under Roman… and when in SF he did have Colin Kapernick and regardless of where you stand with his antics he did have his best seasons under Roman at OC… I’m a Greg Roman fan and honestly I think Lamar handcuffs that offense being as you stated he’s a run first QB and his passing is by far not his strength … Also said he’s the best running game OC he’s ever seen but that’s a Blessing and a Curse and that this WR core would be hands down the best Roman has ever worked with
  11. Just hope the new ownership group isn’t like the Walton/Penner group w/Broncos… in just 1 yr have done some very questionable moves… throwing years of picks and then restructuring Wilson’s contract before even taking a snap and then dealing draft picks for a HC who imho isn’t any better then Brian Billick was… both only have 1 SB ring but at least Billick didn’t have a HOF QB in Brees, he did however have the best Defense…Payton imho has to be 1 of the most over rated HC of all time… at least modern times
  12. I'm a huge Podcast guy, YouTube I should say. The Pat McAfee show last week had Chuck Pagano former Colts HC and Ravens DC and they had a list of questions (several pages) of what to expect when interviewing for a HC gig, some of the questions were not really right or wrong type questions but just a gage for the type of person you are, and then I like TakeCommand Podcast Craig Hoffman & Logan Paulsen and on a segment last week they were discussing EB, Paulsen said when he was at UCLA that EB was there as the RB coach and his style wasn't for everyone, I kinda got the tone and feeling he was a butthole (just assumption though) so for all these outsiders who love to just say EB doesn't have a HC job by now because he's black really don't know the depth of what he presents as a whole in these interviews, let's be honest a butthole is a butthole everywhere he can't change that, maybe he is a hard guy to stomach. Saying all this I'd still like to see him as the OC if he's offered the gig, but my concerns are what will he be like away from Andy Reid when he'd be the main play caller.
  13. I think he wants someone else other then Zampese but imho probably will have to settle for Zampese or Shurmur due to so many other things revolving around this franchise… mainly new owners who will probably clean house after 2023 if Rivera and Co don’t get into the playoffs
  14. It seems as if with all the candidates interviewed and the request to interview Eric Bieniemy … Rivera really wants to hire someone other then Zampese or even Shurmur but as you said this job at this point with so many other tangibles he might be forced to hire Zampese or Shurmur due to other situations (new owners cleaning house after 2023)
  15. On these above statements I totally agree with you….and I’ll add that I think over the last 2 drafts he has put into place some very young and contract controlled players that will become for the next few seasons our building blocks… add to this if Howell is given the legitimate chance to be the starter in 2023 and he does even remotely good, this team is definitely headed in the right direction and with new owners coming in might (just might) become what all of us long time fans have be desiring…I think Ron has done a lot that we should be happy about… specially behind the screens and off the field stuff….plus draft
  16. This and 1 could ask over the Ravens? Seeing they have asked for permission to interview him for their OC vacancy as well
  17. If you continue watching the clear Orlando Brown hold he proceeds to throw him down WWE style, clearly from the start was a hold, how (other then turning a blind eye) didn’t the Offical throw the flag… NFL is in deep trouble with their officials imho… way to many play in a game where ppl have to start thinking the refs are on the take
  18. I’m going with either Shurmur (because at this stage of his career/life) I don’t think many teams have come calling for his services so in his eyes if it’s a 1 and done (because of new Owners coming in and wanting to clear house with the entire staff should 2023 be another 7-8 win team) he’s be ok with that, and if it succeeds with him being OC he’d have a job for more then a year and/or put himself back in the running for OC services elsewhere. Or Zampese, kinda for the same reasons but where he’s a bit different then Shurmur is I highly doubt he’ll ever get a shot again or if he’s even been mentioned since he was with the Bengals at OC and if/when new ownership clears house Zampese won’t be anything other then the dirt on the bottom of your shoe that needs to be let go. Where both of these guys fit the bill for the OC in 2023 is they both have experience at the job, where as the others have never actually called plays or been in the OC before, so for me Rivera isn’t going with anyone (in possibility) his last season ever as a HC with a younger or inexperienced OC, he’ll want to go down with someone who at least has the experience at the job. So for me it’s either Shurmur or Zampese
  19. While I agree this above situation happens, let me for giggles sake and say hold on for a second, does the NFL really want to go down that route, does the NFL really want to bring to light the years of them knowing what Dan did/does in so many avenues, the sexual scandal, the Jon Gruden email stuff and so much more, to me that would make the NFL just as guilty as Dan was/is for them allowing this type of stuff to occur under their nose…. Specially with their stance the last several years of equality and other agendas… I think them exposing Dan and his Sins will only be a black eye for them ….
  20. 3 times a charm...Bengals finally beat the 9ers
  21. Dan Orlovsky said the other day that he got blasted several weeks ago on Social Media that he didn’t think other then Allen & Diggs that the Bills were elite on offense like everyone else did, he said he stood by that still till this day, I agreed, but to be honest I’m not all over the Josh Allen love… (sure he’s a good QB) but imho he isn’t what the NFL and all media outlets make him out to be… Buffalo for whatever reason was the NFL’s golden child this season, I’m just glad they got knocked out today
  22. I agree with mostly everything but I wouldn’t say the Giants are better then us but they definitely are better then us when we play them (so I guess your correct) they have definitely been our torn in our side the last several seasons, just can’t seem to be able to beat them, specially when we need too
  23. I think people are looking at Roman from the worse possible angle, they are blaming him for the lack of passing attack w/Ravens, but again nobody wants to come and say Lamar isn’t a very good passing QB… 1 could agrue who has Roman had at WR at any of his locations the likes of McClaurin, Samuel, Dotson? He had Crabtree in SF, had Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods in Buffalo and in Baltimore as the OC who worthy of even being compared to what we have here, and guess what else, Kapernick was actually a very good passer while under Roman, in Buffalo he got the best ever out of a career back up in Tyrod Taylor, imho Howell is better then both of them, shoot I’d even said Wentz is better then both of them… I personally would welcome Greg Roman here without a care in the world
