  4. Eagles 27 Commanders 20 To many emotions are running rampent over the Lions lose and the way the Eagles won last night, but don't lose sight this is a division game and anything can happen, clearly the Eagles offense is better then our defense (at least our defensive backfield) but for all these expectations that the Eagles will drop over 50 on us Sunday, ain't happening imho....listening to JP & Mitch right now there are alot of bridge jumpers and just negative nancys ......wow just give the Eagles the NFC after 2 weeks lol
  5. Call me a homer but Pre-Season wasn’t and isn’t a indication of this team imho Commanders 27 Jags 13
  6. Barring a injury to Wentz I can not see how anyone sees us going 7-10 again & w/a much easier schedule…. I’m not a homer but I see at worse 8-9 and if everything works in our favor easily 10-7… I don’t think a playoff spot though cause at this point on paper the Eagles & Boys are better but they could easily fall short… listen I still think their HC’s are both iffy
  7. I’m going to bring 1) 40 pack of Waters w/a cooler and on ice 2) some type of dessert or desserts… cake or danish if that’s ok
  8. I’m going B… with my only real dislike being the 2nd rounder (just felt at the time there was way bigger needs and capable prospects still there at the time) But they definitely ended well in the latter rounds imho and to be honest I’m looking forward to seeing which guys can and will make the team and how much they can/will bring to the table in 2022 (with Howell not seeing any action though)
  9. Love the pick, definitely don’t have to rush him in the starting line up anytime soon (hopefully not before 2024-2025) and if we don’t see him on the field except for Pre-Season games that imho would be a win win for us as fans, would mean Wentz is the QB we thought he could be when dealt for and it allows Howell the time to sit and watch/learn… for those old enough to remember (like me) we once had a guy on our roster who went on to have a really fine career (not with us though) who sat for many years as the 3 string undressed QB… (Trent Green) so sitting and learning isn’t a bad thing… sad thing is not many QB’s get the luxury being they were drafted and paid so high/much
  10. On a side note with the Colts & Wentz broken relationship….I do have to say this about the entire situation your hearing now from Indy… if it’s true that Wentz wanted a face 2 face w/Irsay… and was declined as rumored then that’s bad ownership there imho… your the owner at least give the respect due to anyone (yet alone an employee) to meet w/them and tell them the truth… also if true that Reich Apologized to Irsay and the brass then that’s crap too imho…. Who cares you vouched for Wentz… it isn’t like he was horrible and was by far the worse QB in the NFL… sounds to me Frank Reich is a yes man.. and to a degree trying to save face along w/his job…. Stand by your decisions… right wrong or in different…
  11. exactly and totally agree… Wentz can make all the throws that need to be made and some… my only issue w/Wentz has been his being prone to injuries….and the $ factor, other then that I don’t know anything about him as a person… (accept he loves to hunt and being outspoken about his Faith) so all this he’s not liked in the locker room stuff (who knows that for sure) I think he’s a fine QB… and let’s be real if you’ve been a fan of this team for as long as some of us have been… you know he’s already the 3rd best QB this franchise has had in the last 20+ years… Brad Johnson, Cousins and Wentz… imho
  12. Im a huge Carr fan (was before the discussion of trading for him) love his stand up character and integrity … I’d love to have him here under center… I don’t think it will happen though…. But I think with what McDaniel did w/Jones in NE that he could possibility do the same w/a Pickett… Howell type etc…. Not saying Raiders would be instant contenders but I think he could really do a good job w/a rookie … just my opinion… but I think Carr is definitely staying
  13. I haven’t heard from anywhere about this even being a possibility or that it will happen but, if they already didn’t would you (if Mayhew & Co.) call the Ravens and ask the availability of Jackson… I mean they called the Chiefs about Mahomes and various other teams but no mention of calling about Jackson… I know I know he isn’t getting dealt but again nothing beats a quitter but a try
  14. I understand....something about Jones that is deceptive imho....almost like he has this untapped potential and if he ever got it he'd be really good....this is his year to show it imo
  15. funny you bring these 2 QB's up....I'm going to get bashed and I know that but I actually think both of these guys are really good QB's....Jones has had the misfortune of playing behind a horrible OL and what now 3 HC's...and Baker played mostly all season w/major injuries....I think you'll see a different Jones in 2022 under Daboll...and I'm on record to saying I'd love to have Mayfield here...love his grit and mojo....I know I'm in the minority though on both of these guys
  16. this is true? he's really saying that wherever he goes the deal will involve the team not drafting a #1? wow lol that is insane....if all that is true No Thanks, but I wanted Jameis Winston anyhow if they went the FA route..makes me wanting him even more so now
  17. I think Chris Ballard & Co are buying time till the FA market hits and wouldn't surprise me if they don't look hard at bringing in a Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky or Marcus Mariota ....and if they can then deal Wentz hoping to get someone to bite or just outright release him then come draft day move into the 1st to grab 1 of the 5 QB's....more then likely a Corral or Howell type should they be able to swing a deal.....there is clearly something brewing in Indy w/this situation and it's not just Ballard I bet Irsay isn't all to happy either w/Wentz...but wow they gave up alot last season to get him just to release him...time will tell
  18. I totally agree w/you..no doubt winning in the NFL is still a QB driven league and without 1 its harder to win, but in the case of the Bengals, nothing in the few games he played last season before the knee injury sidelined him would have told you Burrow was going to have the season he did, and you could argue get the stud WR and he makes the QB (JaMarr Chase) and lets be honest a lot of things worked in the Bengals favor this season, case in point 1 could argue that the Ravens with all their injuries and what not helped the Bengals out a bit too. Lets see them do this again imho, remember if your old enough everyone said the same thing about Marino and he never played in a SB again. I do agree w/Rodgers & Allen though
  19. Not going to be a favored opinion but if I were in charge. 1. I would draft Pickett from Pitt (hopefully he’ll be there) I wouldn’t pick Corral from Ole Miss (kinda reminds me of a Johnny Manziel type) or going even further back to Heath Shuler… kinda been hearing he’s a 1 progression type passer, doesn’t scan the field looking for more options…. 2. I’d keep Taylor Heinicke… if you can draft Pickett, probably have Taylor be the starter until maybe around the 5-6 week of the season or if things are going well then I wouldn’t make the switch, buy as much time with Pickett as you can on the bench. 3. I’d improve the OL, start by resigning Schreff and then either the draft and/or FA. 4. There’s no way I’d trade this seasons or future #1’s for anyone…. Not even Rodgers or Watson or Wilson and to be honest I wouldn’t go out and sign a FA either….. guys like Trubisky etc… we have that or better imho in Heinicke and he’s already been in the system under Turner for several seasons now dating back to Carolina. 5. If… big if and I don’t see this happening, the colts would trade Wentz for a 2nd or possible future 2nd’s I’d entertain that deal, but I wouldn’t mortgage a #1 for him … this season or future, but doubt Colts and Ballard would trade Wentz for anything less then a #1 seeing they gave up so much for him
  20. For sure today as been hard for me. As many have stated at least with the name "Football Team" it still felt very much like the Redskins, only the logo was replaced by the #'s on the helmet and of course the name itself, but pretty much everything else stayed. Today for the 1st time it hit me that it's all gone now, the loyalty to the Redskins is gone, that chapter of history will never be anymore, also today has shown me something that I never understood when teams would leave for different cities and all, as a young child growing up outside of Baltimore I remember when the Colts left (I never was a fan) and seeing their fans respond the way they did, then the Browns leaving for Baltimore and the way their fans responded, well today I too feel that way, truly my heart breaks today cause my beloved Redskins and all that is tied with them is gone. Today the team I called my beloved was replaced by a name that means nothing toward the history of the team but as the FO and powers to be want us to think it has everything to do with the surrounding area. The uniforms are very gimmicky and really look like a XFL or Arena League uni, and the W as the logo on the side of the helmet and on the front of the black helmet is not my cup of tea. I really was hoping for Red Hogs (as the Red and Hogs meant something of years past with this franchise) or either Red Tails, but it is what it is. I was a season ticket holder for many years in Section 414 driving weekly from Hanover Pa and last season knowing the new name reveal was coming my Wife and I chose not to renew, so I didn't go to any game this past season and was just waiting for the new name to be revealed knowing that it would be as easy to pick the phone up and renew again (that right there is a issue/problem as well if you've been a fan long enough to know that Season Tickets meant something) but that will not be happening. Not only with all the above written has my decision been made up but when I saw the Daniel Synder press conference today and he introduced his Wife as Co-Owner and Partner (not my Wife and Co-Owner) but this guy will never learn what it takes to run a NFL team and for that and all of the above I can and will not any longer support this franchise. Today marks a closure for me, my Redskins are gone and the Commanders are no more important to me then say the Titans, Colts, Cardinals are. I write this with a heavy heart and even as a grown man feel a huge loss, but life goes on. I will not support another NFL team the way I supported the Redskins and Football Team, i'll place all my energy in the Nittany Lions going forward which has always been my favorite College team. I wasn't a regular on here but have been a member for many years, my 18yr old Daughter is the name I choose when I opened this account and she was a baby, I want to Thank everyone responsable for making this board what is was and is, this board over the years has always brighten things up for what was really some down years lol as a fan. I write off today wishing everyone Blessings and Joyful times. HTTR "Hail to the Redskins" forever...and I typed this last section crying lol
  21. sign a WR like Samuel or a Marvin Jones type & hope Fitzmagic can stay healthy for at least 14 games & this offense should be exciting imo & who knows might be more threathing then anytime last season
  22. Agreed right now he is ... if Haskins can improve I think we have a diamond in the rough in Logan Thomas too.. Haskins missed him several times Sunday once clearly straight down the middle over threw him.... Inman has a nice game Sunday but doubt he does that consistently I think too that Gibson is a stud they need to implement him more in the game though
