  1. No we benched RGIII year 4 so he wouldn't get injured which would make his 5th year guaranteed. They changed the rule on 5th year options. Once it's picked up it's guaranteed. You can't release them prior to the new league year and get out of it anymore. So Darnold's paid for this year healthy or not.
  2. Honestly if I was the 49ers I'd run it back with Jimmy G. They were a dropped INT from the SB. And with the NFC so weak they're right there. I know they gave up a lot for Lance and would like to recoup some picks but why rush Lance? You're this close with the team you have just go for it.
  3. Darnold's in his 5th year option year that's fully guaranteed. I don't see the Panthers or any team releasing him and eating $18M.
  4. Colts already went the reclamation project route with Wentz. They're looking for a plug and play QB like Ryan or Jimmy G. Matt makes a lot of sense for them. They're in win now mode.
  5. With Watson being traded to the Browns I can probably take on the GM role for a 2nd team if needed lol. Edit: Actually the reports are 3x1s, a 3rd and a 5th. That's not bad. I'm still open to take a 2nd team if needed.
  6. Agreed. I've watched Hooper play. He's a decent RZ target but otherwise he just falls to ground after the catch.
  7. I think they're referring to position value. By taking a guard at #5 overall you end up paying them like a top guard in the league and don't really get the benefit of the rookie deal. Not sure what the going price for guards was in 2015 though. A better example is the Giants taking Barkley #2 overall. Because of where he was drafted he immediately became a top 5 paid RB so even if he played like a top RB the Giants would break even in contract value. Compare that to Chase Young who plays a premium position. Young's making roughly a 3rd of what the top edge players make. So if he plays like a top 5 player you're getting great value years on his contract.
  8. You know who Mike Brown's father is, don't you? The problem with Mike Brown is he's old fashioned and has been slower to adapt. Maybe that's the curse of being the son of a legendary coach who was widely considered the godfather of modern football. He still tries to do things his father's way, which is mostly outdated, and yeah he tends to run the Bengals like a family owned hardware store. But that doesn't mean he's just in it for the money. He forgets more about football then Dan will ever know.
  9. Honestly I've been disappointed so far. The flashback parts with Boba and the Tusken Raiders I like. The present day stuff has been pretty weak. The teenage scooter gang don't fit Star Wars or at least this planet. That chase scene with the Mayor's assistant felt like they were going 5 mph and the point of it was "look a Droid you might recognize." But present day Boba is soft and even Fennec is WTF dude be a boss. I guess we'll see where they go with it. The elements are there for it to be good but to me it's not what they advertised. I was hoping for Tony Soprano and we're getting Jackie Jr.
  10. Actually Zampesie took over for Hue Jackson. He was fired because the players turned on him. Even AJ Green went to Lewis and said he sucked. But I do agree the Bengals offensive talent was declining at that time. When they let Zietler and Whitworth leave in FA in the same off-season their OL feel apart.
  11. Those back to back QB sneaks were Judge's "swinging gate" moment. That's when Mara realized they had the a-hole version of Jim Zorn.
  12. The trend now is hire the HC first and then include the HC in the GM search. Or go for a package deal like the Bears look like they may be doing. Ed Dobbs has turned down a lot of interview requests over the years though.
  13. I agree he wasn't going to bring in someone to check him. And we all know Gibbs wasn't a good GM. My whole response is more towards @Burgundy Yoda
  14. Then Gibbs should have hired a legitimate GM. He could have hired Bobby B back. He wasn't forced to keep Vinny. Look, I blame Dan and Vinny for a lot of the issues back then but those two boobs wouldn't have even traded for Brunell. The QB issue during the Gibbs 2.0 era was Gibbs fault.
  15. C'mon, Gibbs hand picked Brunell. He passed on drafting Rothlesberger. He could of signed Drew Brees but didn't. Then he drafted Campbell for the next guy. Gibbs had full control.
  16. Terry's not a UFA this off-season. I hear what you're saying but I think they'll offer him a lucrative extension this summer. Will he say no, play out his contract and bolt? Demand a trade?
  17. Dude thumbnails and titles all over YouTube spoiling stuff since Tuesday. You don't even have to click the video. Some people just want to watch the world burn. I know to avoid the comment sections of videos but hadn't seen spoiler attacks like this. I went with a friend today and saw it. More emotional then I thought it would be. Overall thought it was very good. A lot of stuff I thought would happen did and there were also some surprises. Unfortunately one major one was spoiled for me.
  18. There were a couple more Jet-Skins, RB/KR Chad Morton and PK John Hall. I think at the time we made Hall the highest paid PK in the league and then he had groin problems and missed a a lot of games after his first year. Also missed some big kicks including one against the Seahawks in the divisional round of the playoffs. Chad Morton was a RFA of the Jets who Snyderetto signed to a 5-year offer sheet which the Jets matched. However there was a part of the contract the Jets tried to take out, Morton filed a grievance with the league and an arbitrator awarded him to us for a 5th rd pick. Suck it Jets! Well actually he sucked for us and then got hurt and was gone after 2 years.
  19. Waiting for the QB to fall into your lap isn't what I'd call urgency. As for the Bills and Bucs, Arians and McDermott addressed QB going into their 2nd year. Ron absolutely needs to address it going into year 3 otherwise his tenure is becoming a failure. So yeah identify your guy and take a shot, but they can't afford to miss.
