I haven't rewatched the game and you've definitely seen more with camp etc. It seemed however that aside from a few early throws that sailed he calmed down and his accuracy improved as the night went on. I don't think the interception was all his fault but certainly some. As he gets more games under his belt I'd like to see more consistency from the start. I think if he can do that and limit mistakes he's going to be very, very successful. I do think he proved he can play from the pocket and not rely on his legs which is very encouraging.

I'd argue that neither one of those hires were known as transformative, culture changing figures. Shanny maybe but he had his baggage. My point is that I think, if this ends badly with Ron, future head coach hires, at least the "big name / culture change" style coaches would not come here. Ron is too respected and I think they'd feel that if he couldn't do it, it can't be done. I don't doubt that there would be coaches who'd want to coach here, there's only so many HC slots but I'd expect a lot more "zorn" and a lot less actual respected coaching hires.

Great post. I tell you what, if Ron and/or Jason ever meet the real Dan and one or both exit - I see no scenario that anyone with any football credit would ever step foot in this organization. Ron is too well respected and so is Jason for that matter. The stink of a bad exit would never leave this franchise unless there was a new owner at the top. Dan better pray that Ron leaves on his own terms if ever.

I'd agree with this but realistically I don't see a trickle becoming a meaningful flood of conservative GOPer exiting. I'm all for it but how many do you think will really sacrifice their career to do what's right. A meaningful amount? I have my doubts. But hey the more the merrier.

This is why I never believed all of the "behind closed doors the GOP is really mad at Trump" nonsense. The GOP is fully embracing authoritarianism and as long as the money flows they'll be cool with it. People better get off their asses in the midterms or we're in a pile of trouble. Just worried that some may think that electing Biden and flipping GA was engough. Not even close.

I just can't get excited about the DC universe. So many stops and starts and falling all over themselves. It could have been so much better but it's like no one wants to have the patience to do it right. Lots of great characters but no execution.

Now for sure impeaching Barr would be a sideshow. I think they could have played the impeachment card to delay any voting on the SCOTUS nomination though well in advance or talked about it anyway. Pelosi said they had a lot of arrows in their quiver - I didn't see any come out except a boycott of the vote. I have to agree the Dems have no killer instinct. It needs to change but at this point nothing we can do except vote and if we flip the senate and take the WH hold folks accountalbe.
