We need to contain Dalvin Cook both in the run game and passing game. Hopefully Jamin has a career type game against him. Jefferson is a stud and will get his yards. Hopefully St Juste can keep his impact to a minimum. Thielen is nowhere where he once was and they needed to go out and trade for Hockenson but it’s his first game with a new team. Forget Stroud, Hooker, and Young. I think they all will be busts. Name me one qb from Ohio State who had even a halfway decent NFL career? Hookers throwing motion is awful. Stetson a college walk on outplayed him even before the pouring rain. Young after the combine may come in shorter than 5’11” and certainly less than his 196lbs. Kyler Murray he is not anywhere close.

Bottom line whoever comes in here whether that be Bezos or someone else, I think its safe to say that we could see a complete breakdown of the team and starting from scratch. That includes name, front office, and stadium. And I could see these things happening rather quick. Look at Tepper in Carolina, he came in right away and got rid of Gettlemen and hired Ruhle. He also fired Ruhle on a couple years into his contract.

Hes the defunct GM and highly doubt if a new owner comes in he retains that position. Cmon man if you were Ron, what would you be concerned about if a new owner comes in? Showing them how you resigned an above average qb at a reasonable contract or that you fought for a wild card spot and have the team headed in the right direction?

Sorry I don’t buy this argument. If Ron wants to still be employed with the team as head coach, he should be more concerned with wins and losses this year, not about who’s contract is coming up and being fiscally responsible.

This point is moot with the potential sale of the team. I know we are only talking about a backup qb contract but Ron can’t and won’t make any personnel decisions until it is settled. He may not be the man to authorize any personnel decisions i.e. we get a new GM.

This is distinct possibility as Danny boy is desperate for a new stadium and can’t get the DMV to foot the bill. If it’s a buying group I don’t think you will have the whole group agree to only buy 30% of the team. There’s only a handful of single billionaires who could buy a share of the team and I hope none of them want to take a backseat to Danny.

The owners are not going to lend Dan money for a new stadium. Period! His relationship with them has been strained for a while and it didn’t help when Dan said he put out an investigation of each owner.

I agree with you. Say what you want about ol’Danny Boy but he’s not stupid. I think when he got denied for stadium funding by Virginia, wasn’t getting too much interest from MD or DC, saw/heard the other owners opinion of him at the owners meeting and then the booing, he may have finally woke up and said maybe NO ONE likes me. I remember hearing a story about when he first bought the team, not sure if it’s true or not. He came to Redskins Park for a tour and the elevator attendant who apparently worked there for years and was close to Cooke, patted Danny on the back saying hello. Apparently Danny didn’t like that and had him fired right afterward. If true that gives you an idea of the type of person Dan Synder was and is.

I don’t really care who the new owner may be but just want Dan to sell it! Well actually I don’t want Bezos. Hopefully someone who is hands off and decides to hire a real GM to run the team. Enough of Ron and Dan making all the decisions. I think Dans lack of ability to get a new stadium was the final straw to him willing to sell the team.

Did you read my post, I said during the final 2 minutes. That play where Etinenne was wide open happened during the flow of the game and was a blown coverage. If a team needs a touchdown to win the game in the final 2 minutes of a game, defenses are not gonna strictly play man defense but a soft zone so that no one gets behind them. Thats why in my opinion crossers especially in the middle of the field are so effective and if you have a wideout who can make defenses miss ala Tyreek Hill can be dangerous. Lamar is awesome but no way in hell he should get a $250 fully guaranteed contract!

I’m not sure why we are even talking about extending Heinicke halfway through the season? Can we wait till we see how the season pans out first? So those who want to extend Taylor, I assume you want him as your starter for the the next couple years. I like Heinicke but believe we still need to continue to look for a true franchise qb whether through the draft, trade or free agency. Plus I’m not convinced that Taylor will have a boat load of teams ready to hand out a contract. I get you want to get a jump start to keeping him under contract but we can’t and should not pay more than 5-8 million per year for a backup.

I can’t believe people are arguing on the throw by Heinicke. They must have Terry on their fantasy team and pissed he didn’t score a TD. Anyway qbs throw contested passes all the time! Rarely are you gonna see someone wide open especially during a 2 minute drill unless the defender slips and falls. Gilmore is no scrub so while Terry was open for a second or two, he recovered pretty quickly. Sure Taylor or Tyler according to Robert Smith (who is awful to listen to by the way) doesn’t have a strong arm but he was also scrambling for a good while and kind of back peddling when he threw it. He threw it into the vicinity of Terry giving him a chance. I’m 100% fine giving your number one a chance to make the play especially at that time of the game. Oh if he throws it further into the endzone, I don’t know if Terry comes down with it.

Hey at least we got something for him besides a ham sandwich. We were gonna release him outright earlier. I heard the delay may be because the Steelers are trying to restructure his contract.

Dax is a former 7th round pick and it shows. His punt returning skills are non existent. Sure he has not fumbled a return but we may as well just have someone back there fair catching. We recently elevated that wideout Kyric maybe he can return punts or Jahan could too. As far as receiving, yes need Dotson back!

Im not going to argue whether this is a bad move or not. I have my opinion and you have yours. Jamin was “babied” all last year with Ron and JDR saying how he impressive he was and always positive comments. His first game this year in a win by the way and JDR calls him out and coincidentally he has made huge strides ever since. Just saying. Just say no to participation trophies.

We can’t resign all 4 first rounders so someone needs to go. However regardless of how Payne has been playing no one is gonna give us a first round pick possibly a second but I doubt it considering he’s a free agent next year. Keep him on the team and if we can’t or don’t resign him, then we get a third in compensatory.

I posted a couple weeks ago but will say it again. Jamin is playing awesome and I was way too quick to say he’s a bust. He really is coming into his own and I contribute a lot of it on JDR calling him out. Many could have and soured and sulk but Jamin stepped up. Besides the 4th down play he had a solid game covering Hines out of the backfield and Campbell out of the slot. I was worried with Holcomb hurt but he helped with keeping Taylor in check and that was with Mayo only playing something like 40% of the snaps. Our line is playing really well and I realize 2 of the games were against Chicago and the Colts. The Packers got blown out by the Bills but Jones and Dillon played really well. We kept those 2 in check last week. Our defense will help us stay in games and help with keeping this winning streak alive. Need a huge game against the Vikes!

I think the coaches have tried to reign him in. After all his idol is Favre the ultimate gunslinger. It’s not till we are behind in the 4th that they let him loose. I also think he thinks too much on throwing picks that he doesn’t let loose. I would like to see him be conservatively aggressive and that’s on Scott calling those plays. We need more than 7 pts going into the 4th quarter.
