  1. I mostly agree with you but keep in mind, Heinicke has the equivalent of one full season of starting and didn’t play in a major college conference and is still learning. Not saying he’s the answer but I will give him a bit more slack. Cousins (and even more frustrating Jason Campbell) were check down charlies even in his 4th year with us and rarely took chances.
  2. Do you need glasses? I didn’t say there was zero praise for Wentz and I said during camp not after the trade. The comments from Terry and others were solid but not overly glowing of Wentz. They mostly centered on a strong arm. Of course after a big win, guys are gonna cheer him. By the way it’s funny your comment on me “I must be new on here”. Just looked and we both joined the board in 2014. I find it ironic how someone so pessimistic averages over one thousand posts each year. I wouldn’t doubt that over 90% of them are negative.
  3. I am not one of those who think Heinicke is some kind of legend. However I do think he gives us the best chance to make a run. I would like to see Howell in there but feel it might be better to redshirt him the fullyear. As much as I thought Wentz would be solid, he literally has zero mobility at this point in his career. He used to be able to scramble a bit and could throw from different angles but even Big Ben in his latter career was more elusive than Wentz. Given the fact of the conditional draft pick, start Taylor the rest of the year and a reset next year. Oh one thing I was thinking about recently is how through all of camp, there was very little praise about Wentz from our skilled players. No one was saying how they thought he was an excellent addition. Sure some mentioned his arm strength but no real praise about how he was gonna win games for us. However the opposite is true of Heinicke. Guys are literally in love with him like that picture of him and Jon Allen hugging last week. It is quite telling to me.
  4. No way I want Jackson back in the lineup. Trade him for a sixth rounder and off the team. I’m not saying he’s a malcontent but no coincidence that there has been a certain level of chemistry without him. We are not gonna shut him down but hopefully Fuller and St Juste can limit him. More importantly we need to limit Dalvin Cook. He is the key to limiting their offense.
  5. Oh my apologies. Thank you sir for your civility. You my friend are a great person!
  6. It’s always funny when people call others names online. Get a life!
  7. I follow both the Wizards and the Caps. Keumper finally looked good on Saturday!
  8. A win is a win! I’m not delusional that we are some kind of great team. If we manage to go 5-4, then there’s still hope we can get in with a wildcard berth and then who knows. I grew up in the DC area but have lived in the Philly area for the last 25 years. Look at the Phillies. All my friends who are Philly sports fans killed that team throughout the season having the 4th highest payroll and going through a rebuild. They barely get in and now have a chance to win the World Series. Sure it would be great to have a true franchise qb, a team that scores 30 pts a game, a punishing defense, and an owner who is respected in the league but that isn’t the case now and there’s no guarantee that will ever happen. Hell it’s been 30 years of the same ole crap. Take the team for what it is. I for one will continue to root tor them until we are eliminated. If you can’t or aren’t willing, then go watch the Wizards or Caps who ain’t looking very good too. Well your handle is pretty telling isn’t it. The sky is always falling with guys like you? Nice to meet you Mr Pessimism
  9. I couldn’t agree more. Let’s not forget they beat the Chiefs! They are not some JV team.
  10. People always complaining about a win. It’s a win folks. Ask any NFL player and they will say it’s not easy to get one. Sure we may not go anywhere this season but it keeps us in the hunt for a wildcard and at least some meaningful games in November and December. Next year is next year. Getting a high draft pick should never be our goal.
  11. I really think we pound the ball often with Brob and Gibby. We need Trai to play well to help neutralize Buckner and a good game from Lucas and Leno to help with Yannick. If we can hold off their defensive line, we should be able to run and pass effectively. Lets go!!
  12. Usually the home team gives a booth to the opposing owner. I wonder where Irsay will put Synder.
  13. No way we should ever take an Ohio State qb so no to Stroud!
  14. The Colts are tanking. Why else would the team say Ehlinger is their starter the rest of the year and Ryan won’t play? Can’t see the Colts players being too up for this game. It’s different with Carolina as they made a coaching change. Good guys 24 Give up guys 13
  15. Sorry there is no way in hell I want Bryce Young. Who wants a 5’11” qb who weighs 195lbs? He would never finish a 17 game season.
  16. First Stafford could and would run in his early years. Second I didn’t say I wanted a qb in a wheelchair. I said I wanted a qb who primarily played from the pocket. Of course any modern day qb needs to be able to move but I prefer moving within the pocket, not a qb who looks to run first. Lamar and Kyler Murray are prime examples of the type of qb I don’t want. I much prefer a qb like Herbert or Burrow. BTW look at the throwing motion by Richardson. That is so mechanically poor.
  17. What are u talking about? My point is that most scramble first qbs have not won anything. Looks good for fantasy football points. Mahomes breaks off a run here and there but there are no designed running plays for him anymore. Hurts, Allen and Jackson all have designed running plays. By the way give me a Herbert or Burrows every day of the week over guys like Hurts or Daniel Jones. Tua … seriously?? I don’t even consider him a qb just another first round bust. Wilson won because of that defense. Same can said of Trent Dilfer when he won. Cam Newton was a run first qb. He had a good run to the Superbowl but the majority of his years were average at best.
  18. I completely disagree. Name one primary scrambling qb who has won it all in the pros, not college football. Look at the last 5 winning qbs (Stafford, Brady, Mahomes, Brady, and Nick Foles). You could argue Mahomes is much more a pocket passer than a scrambler. I’m not saying you need a statue back there but until Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, or even Josh Allen wins it all, I rather have someone who can throw dimes than someone who can break off 20 yard runs. Give me a guy who looks to throw first, always looking downfield, then someone who’s first instinct is to run.
  19. Bryce Young is not gonna be a durable starter in the NFL and there is no way any team should ever take a Ohio State qb! Young is too small (who wants a 5”11 195lb qb!) and name me one Ohio State qb that has done anything in the NFL? Give me a 6’3 primarily in the pocket qb that has played a few years in college. No more one year wonders no matter how good their numbers are. I rather have the Levis from Kentucky or Van Dyke from Miami, both of who can be had in the middle to late first round.
  20. Guys, We have seen this story before haven’t we? Taylor is gritty tough and passionate. He will and has won some exciting games for us. However he has limitations and is not a franchise qb. Obviously Wentz hasn’t played well so far but we need to see if he can be the guy don’t we? Sure Howell or someone we draft could be the better way but then we are starting over again. Keep Heinicke in till Wentz is healthy.
  21. 3 in a row and we get back to .500! That’s huge and would put us in a position … to dare I say a wildcard spot. We still have 4 games left against the division. Skins - 20 Colts - 10
  22. My bad I didn’t know. I saw his brother passed but not his dad.
  23. His dad did a good job putting this video together! 🤣
  24. Zappe played well against Detroit and the Browns not necessarily juggernaut defenses. Yes our defense can be had but it is playing much better recently and I’m sure they are licking their chops against a second year 6th round qb.
  25. Ehlinger is still a former 6th round pick and someone who has not played in the regular season. He may come out playing well but the chances of him having a great game is fairly low. Look at Zappe, guy was supposed to be the next Brady after a couple games but came crashing down last night and he was a 4th rounder. I’m not too worried about Ehlinger.
