  1. I think we can officially call Dotson as receiver #1B. What I like about him more than his football skills is his demeanor. Guy seems humble, grounded, not too caught up with the pressure of the league, and genuinely a good locker room guy. His attitude is so similar to Terry. Hard to find that non-Diva attitude with wideouts.
  2. Jags left at least another 10 points on the field possibly 14 or more. That would have been 30+ points for a team with a 2nd year qb, a banged up running back coming into the game (Robinson), essentially a rookie at the other back and Marvin Jones, Zay Jones, and Christian Kirk who don’t exactly scream awesome skilled players. You have to look to continue to improve the team even during the season regardless of any season ending injury. That’s what the Eagles did during their Superbowl year.
  3. I know but you wanna pay him $9 million as a backup?
  4. Hes 35 years old and has a lot of wear and tear on his body. Plus as I mentioned I don’t think he’s a good locker room guy
  5. Couldn’t agree more with bringing in Star. He played for Ron in Carolina, he knows the system and is still only 32. For one year he would be a good reserve player. Ron did mention bringing in a younger guy but why? Mathis should be back for next year. I would be fine with Joseph but don’t want Suh. He still wants a good amount of money and I consider him a malcontent. Doesn’t it say something that when the Bucs won, they brought almost everyone back on more than a one year deal except him? Now, thanks to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, we’ve learned just what Suh is looking for in his next contract. Suh’s reportedly seeking a contract that pays him $9 million per season.
  6. Watched Rons morning presser. He said MRI right now but looking to bring in someone new for depth and possibly a DT for practice squad. I would think he’s lost for the season.
  7. Yes Parsons is great but he’s a Cowboy, nothing we can do about it. He had all of 3 sacks and 3 TFLs his last year at Penn State. It was disappointing that we didn’t address the linebacker situation and instead decided to live with the drafting of Jamin. It may come back to bite us in the you know what and it doesn’t help we probably lost Mathis for the season. James Robinson ran right through us yesterday. I think the key against those running backs will be our defensive line playing as unit per Kerrigans mantra. Having our ends rush way outside opening up lanes will kill us. These guys need to do a better job staying home and collapsing the pocket. We’re gonna lean heavy on Payne to take up blockers to allow Holcomb and Davis to free flow to the back or qb. Zeke? He’s stinks. This ain’t 2015!
  8. We all saw how Forrest played a heck of a game. He showed me yesterday besides being able to hit (the fumble by Etinenne was awesome) that he can cover (pass break up in the end zone). This guy is our natural buffalo nickel with Curl and McCain at safety. I think our defense will improve with him at that position. Too bad the Cowgirls season is over!
  9. I completely disagree with you on St Juste. Watch the highlights that was posted on YouTube and you will see St Juste was lost at times and more concerning was lackadaisical on some. Watch the 2nd play in this highlight reel when Robinson breaks off a long yard. You actually see St Juste running away from the play. Watch at 3:30, he actually played soft at coming off a simple block and let Etinenne run right past him. On the drop by Etinenne at the goal line, I believe he was St Justes responsibility but he got lost in the backfield trying to cover a receiver. These are some of his mistakes in just the first half. I’m sure he had many more in the 2nd half but I didn’t look at it closely. https://youtu.be/aosepuuGeIg
  10. I was watching the post game show on YouTube and one shot showed Jonathan walking off the field after the last snap. He didn’t have a happy look on his face but he always looks angry all the time. 🤣 I think if it was serious he would have already been in the locker room for treatment.
  11. I agree. There were so many linebackers that we should have went after but we didn’t. But we’re into the season now so how do we fix the problem? We could let Jamin continue to play but he’s showing as a real liability on defense. Holcomb is okay at mlb but we need a true freak at the outside backer position.
  12. Do you want Davis who does a good job covering the invisible man and had a whooping 3 tackles today? Sometimes it’s better to admit your mistake and move on. He had the entire offseason to learn how to play linebacker and it’s the same thing as last year. The guy makes zero impact plays.
  13. I think the issue is that Jamin doesn’t have football smarts. I think his reaction to whether it’s a pas or a run is very slow and then if he has zone responsibilities, he’s completely lost. As I said I think we can officially call him a bust and we will need to live with him. Unless we move Bostic to MLB and move Holcomb back to the outside. Actually this may not be a bad plan.
  14. We can always franchise Payne next year until we see if Mathis will bounce back or if we draft another tackle.
  15. Sorry but there were a few plays in those highlights where Jamin looks completely lost covering no one. All the talk about his improvements in the offseason don’t seem legit. I think he is certainly looking like a bust. Damn shame Also I dont see improvement in St Juste. He also looks a little lost out there like last year. i hope Percy or one of the new young corners develop quickly and can push St Juste. With Jamin we really don’t have a plan B do we?
  16. The whole Kerrigan mantra about staying in your lanes and rushing like one unit was really evident today. We had a lot of pressure right up the middle with lots of stunts from the ends. It didn’t allow Trevor to step up in the pocket. If he scrambled he went to the outside. Also Payne played really well today.
  17. You could be right. I know St Juste was playing a lot in the first half but I didn’t see him much in the 2nd. Maybe Forrest replaced him as the nickel although I did see him cover Engram on one play along with the pass defensed in the end zone. Schweitzer didn’t go into the locker room for treatment. Apparently hamstring injury. Mathis looks like he’s lost for the season. Hyperextended knee probably ACL or PCL tear. I hope not but we may need to sign a vet. Oh I saw a video of Jonathan walking off the field at the end of the game by himself. If it was serious he would have been in the locker room much earlier. Hopefully he’s okay.
  18. On that play there were like 8 Jags defenders near the ball. No open spots to throw the ball into the ground and it could kick back up for a pick. Plus you can’t simple ground it. I don’t think so. Forest was playing the buffalo nickel position primarily with St Juste playing the traditional slot corner.
  19. I agree! Having Jamin on Kirk is ridiculous. Maybe it would have been different if Curl was in the lineup. Could move McCain to a dime position.
  20. I actually like all the screen passes. It helps to get the ball into the hands of our playmakers. Wentz should have never thrown that ball but should have thrown it away.
  21. No it’s called the Jags made adjustments. You think Wes is the reason Wentz had protection in the first half? Cmon
  22. Spread the ball around with our weapons on the outside, Curtis playing a Deebo role, a getting healthy Logan, and JD doing his thing and our offense could not only be exciting but actually put up enough points to overcome our suspect defense.
  23. Wentz had the best running back in football last year. Only relying on BRob to carry the ball is a FAILED OFFENSE!
  24. By the way, the plays Antonio made today should have been what he was doing his first couple years. His hands on that long crosser was great. He is not an in between 25 carry running back. If Samuels gets dinged up, I could see Antonio replacing him and hopefully a healthy BRob.
  25. I don’t think so. I think Scott has evolved the offense spreading the ball around, having more “gadget plays” and trying to score more points. BRob will still be the primary ball carrier but maybe 15 carries a game.
