  1. Took Jefferson at 4 over Kupp and Eckler. Then was able to snag Swift in the second, Javonte in the third and St. Brown in the fourth. After week 1 I’m feeling very confident in my decision making.
  2. Outside corners play so far off. Giving up a lot of room for the WR to work.
  3. For a reference point with stealing and selling secrets, we have a pretty close parallel happening in real time. Judge rejects plea deal in spy case because sentences weren't harsh enough Bolding is my emphasis. Pleas were thrown out because the penalty was deemed to be to lenient. Just wanted to provide additional context for the severity of what is currently happening.
  4. It's almost like the DOJ is not a bunch of idiots and played this all out before going about it the way they did. Offering as much transparency as possible and daring Trump to be the one to hide things.
  5. He may be a little worried that the IRS actually has the time to perform reviews / audits on high earning people now. The agency has been slowly gutted for the last twenty years, because of that they have not had the man power to go after wealthy people. I believe the employment numbers back in the early 90s were over 110k employees I believe the number is now in the mid 70k. Both my parents worked for the IRS, they had a two out one in hiring criteria for over a decade. For every two employees they lost they could bring one onboard, hamstringing an already underfunded agency.
  6. God these people are idiots. The complete lack of understanding on what the funding is going to do is just amazing. This is an older report (9/2/2021) by the CBO, but, generally the return on investment doesn't change and the purpose of the additional officers doesn't change. Revenue agents coming for guns, bunch of dumb ****s. The Effects of Increased Funding for the IRS
  7. For example, the couple arrested earlier this year for selling submarine secrets, sentencing is actually on the August 16. I would assume the documents he had were much more valuable then the ones they took. The accused spy knew stealth was crucial from his work on submarines. He surfaced anyway.
  8. The only thing I will say about the Kia's is you need to watch the dealer you are working with. I've heard nightmare stories about Kia dealers doing any type of warranty work. We looked at the Telluride and Palisade, inventory was ridiculously low and the only ones available had 10K markups. Very nice vehicles, good luck on your search.
  9. If you keep the SUV long enough, best bang for the buck full size SUV is either the Tahoe or Suburban with the diesel. We replaced my wife's Wrangler Unlimited last year, if I could have found a Tahoe with the diesel for a decent price I would have gone that route. We ended up with the Atlas not my first choice but it's her car and she loves it. But, that depends on if you really want the full size vs. a mid size. Technically the full size SUVs being sold right now are, Tahoe, Suburban, Expedition, Expedition Max, Sequoia, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
  10. Saw Wind River recently. Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen, was released in 2017. Fantastic movie. Great slow burn with the strong payoff at the end. If you like a good murder mystery give it a go.
  11. We are not going to agree, and that's okay. In closing, my point is that if he had the right to due diligence he wouldn't need to be asking for the information in public. He would have the legal right to examine whatever portion the would need, say the actual data, algorithms and user information. The simple fact he is demanding the information shows the he does not have the right to the information. From what you have said, you are a business owner. If someone where to buy your business under a normal contract that person would have the rights to access your books, inventory and anything specifically associated with your business. Perhaps, patents, data, buildings and other pieces. They would have the right to certify the information you provided with their own independent review prior to finalizing the purchase. But, If that someone decided to offer you three times your value, without any independent review you would probably be pretty happy. If said person later decided they made a mistake they act the way Musk is acting, making up any reason to be able to walk from the deal. That's my take. We disagree, it's all good.
  12. It's all VW, it was part of the settlement agreement with the DOJ. They had to invest some very large dollar value into the EV charging network in the US along with the monetary fine.
  13. No I'm asking you to show me something, anything that would dispute the claim. Musk hasn't even disputed the claim, all he has done is shout BOTSSSSSSS. BECAUSE, he gave up due diligence twitter only has to provide whatever minimal information they have to. They've provided the same information they provide in their SEC filings. They are under no obligation to do anything further. That's not the same thing, it's not even in the same arena. One party wanting something is not the same as that party having a legal obligation to the information. I would say him yelling BOTS is further proof that he did give up his right to due diligence. If he had the right he wouldn't need to keep shouting it on Twitter. He would have direct access to the information and not be demanding it in public.
  14. Electrify America was part of the VW dieselgate settlement. They are a subsidiary of VW not GM.
  15. I tend to believe Twitter versus Musk. I say that because they haven't been raging like an old man trying to return soup to a deli. I don't think anyone finds any corporation to be immaculate, what I do think is that a company that is not acting like a petulant child is more believable. Said company also has a pretty good understanding of what the purchase agreement is. Also, find me one legitimate article that says he did not give up due diligence. Hell, as far as I can see he hasn't even tried to counter the due diligence claim. Again, old man returning soup to a deli.
  16. I doubt the SEC will ever have the power to really punish him. But the interesting side is he may put the nail in the coffin for crypto regulation. The Tesla stock drop is interesting in the short term, but realistically he's already made a killing on it and this has little effect on him. The question is when does it become enough of a negative for the other investors? Is there a point where his foot in mouth becomes a net negative? I'm not sure there really is, at least until the point where they face real large scale competition.
  17. Right? This is whole thing is a show, and has not baring on the transaction. Twitter has every right to hold him to his purchase agreement. His best case scenario is that he only has to pay the one billion dollar termination agreement, and that's only if twitter agrees to it. I hope they hold him to it. Is this one better? BBC - Elon Musk threatens to walk away from Twitter deal
  18. This whole bot thing is a non starter. The genius that he is waived his due diligence. I've said this before, my position is in procurement for the Federal Government. You know what the first thing they teach you in this field? Do your due diligence, it can and will bite you in the ass. This is a non starter and a way for him to try to bully twitter into letting him out of his deal. A the kids say, he played himself. Musk accuses Twitter of ‘resisting and thwarting’ his right to information on fake accounts
  19. I'm not a programmer or computer science person. But, I would assume releasing how you determine bots would show the people who make the bots how to avoid being caught. That seems like a bad idea and would lead even more bots. That would then give Musk a stronger case to try to cancel the purchase.
  20. Possibly, but I’m not sure. Either way it’s a major advantage, as it currently stands.
  21. I think it may be more honestly. I’m no big Tesla fan, but they have locked in premium locations on major roadways. They also have it simple with the vertical integration of manufacturer and owning the charging.
  22. Charging infrastructure is going to be the biggest issue for legacy manufacturers. Tesla has such a head start that it’s going to major investments beyond the Electrify America for other makers. There is an interesting thread on the Reddit Cars subreddit. A guy goes into detail about using his Ioniq 5 on road-trips. He goes into a good bit of detail about the charging infrastructure and how good a job Tesla has done with location selection and keeping it simple with their app / car.
