  1. The Bears play calling is looking much more creative than Turner.
  2. He’s not seeing the field at all. The first scramble he a wide open guy in front of him and then the other throw that he was sacked. They have to pull a Rosen and just bail.
  3. Honestly at the end of the day I’m not sure a stadium deal gets done with any Snyder involved. That family name has such a stigma and negative association that I don’t believe anyone wants to hang their neck out for them. If the other owners, are in fact, basically telling everyone that only a stadium saves them. They are signaling to the states that if they hold out they could get a better overall partner to work with for the next 30 years, it seems like a no brained to wait it out to see what happens. I personally think VA was his best / last chance of getting a sweetheart publicly financed deal. I don’t think MD or DC will give him what he needs.
  4. Fitzpatrick saying that Turner won’t tailor his system to his players is just…so damning. I’m not even surprised, but man that’s just so sad to hear.
  5. The buyout was back in April 2021 and then he lost the VA stadium support in June of this year. This all is going to come down to the stadium. The debt waiver was given because they thought he could get the stadium done, now it’s not looking like that is happening. That’s the deal breaker, losing the other owners money.
  6. The buyer has to be approved by the league. They won’t just let him sell to whoever to try to stick it to them.
  7. I don’t think she can get a stadium done either. I think that’s the tipping point for the other owners.
  8. That story has to be vetted to the gills for ESPN to release it. Hell they paid 2.6 billion per season for MNF through 2033. Dan pushing for Wentz fits his history and matches the narrative of having to win big and soon this year. A lot of the stuff is new but the least shocking IMO is that his ouster is going to be based on finances. His inability to secure a stadium is going to be death blow. Owners can look at the Bills and see what a competent owner and team go in a much smaller market. That has to reflect back on Dan. I for one have a glimmer of hope that he will be forced out. The next guy can’t really be any worse, but they could be so much better.
  9. I've been a boating my entire life, mainly sail though. We just picked up a little 22' dual console this summer and my son is all about fishing. The whole culture around fishing is amazing to me. I've never really fished before this year, but man it's wild and I'm into it. I have no aspirations of entering tournaments or anything like that, but the people who are serious about are real serious about it. I'm surprised that dude was able to walk out of that parking lot.
  10. In Annapolis, the local tackle / hunting store does a Snakehead tournament every year. The entry fee is $175.00, the first place payout this year was $6,375.00, this is at a small local store. Below is an excerpt from this years rules. The bigger tournaments are serious business and can have massive prizes.
  11. From what I’ve read about this, his fish were 8lbs heavier in total then the second place fish. I’m not a fisherman by any stretch of the imagination, people who are hardcore fishers can guess the weight of a fish pretty accurately based on size and type. When they weighed these fish people were calling BS and the weigh go took it aside and gutted them. I think it was such an outlier that caused them to do it. Also, I think because it’s a regional tournament has something to do with it, people know each other and have a level of trust.
  12. First prize in this tournament was $45k. Guy caught cheating has earned 3 million in his career (20 years). This has completely enthralled me, some of these tournaments have prizes in excess of 100k for the winner. In some the winners can get a new boat worth north of a $150k. The earnings are secondary to sponsorship and the like. Also, from what I’ve read the police thing is not uncommon. Cheating is serious because the prize value is so high and can be considered a felony.
  13. As a general rule of thumb, not doing your job is normally frowned on by your employer. That has been my understanding ever since I tried to not mow the lawn when I was a kid, and was not given my allowance when my dad saw that the lawn, was in fact, not actually mowed.
  14. My man, it's almost like you don't look at things and just throw things out for giggles... Is the market trending down yes, is the market better than when he took office, yes. Is the stock market a great measure of the overall health of the economy, you tell me. I look forward to your explanation.
  15. Damn, that sucks. Fantastic Voyage was a banger when I was in middle school.
  16. I’m aware, I work for FEMA, and I’m just sharing the information we get in our daily brief.
  17. If she has an easy way to do it, I don't think it would be bad. I'm not familiar with the geography of Tampa, but we're gearing up for a major event.
  18. If that person plays their cards right they can use veteran preference for a Fed job, buy back their military time and double dip. I know many people who are doing this currently.
  19. I’ve got a friend of mine who graduated from the Naval academy about fifteen years ago, same deal they sent him to the Naval Warfare school for his masters. If you can meet the qualifications and play your cards right the military can set you up long term. Hell, that’s true for the Government in general. I work for a DHS sub agency and they pay for us to go the Warfare College if we meet certain criteria.
  20. My little brother is an officer in the army. He went to Norwich and graduated with a degree in cyber security, military recruited him his sophomore year and ended up paying for his last two years. He went to work at Fort Gordon, up until last year. He qualified for the Army JAG program. They are paying for his law school as long as he serves 7 years as a JAG. Blew my mind they are picking up the tab, but it makes sense. I’m sure it would be hard to get a lawyer to enlist directly.
