  1. Maybe he sought Bran out because he was 1) worthless to the human war that couldn't be avoided, based on his birth position, age and being crippled, and yet 2) born into a high enough position where he would have access to the people who would be the most important in the war against the WW. He is fulfilling his ultimate role right now, at Winterfell, helping get rid of those who've made their chances of winning worse (Littlefinger), and improving their odds by helping them with information only he could know.
  2. I can't remember if his brother even had a personality in the show. Maybe I'm blending context from the books into why I called him a mini version of his dad. Regardless, Sam wasn't there to see how it played out. His brother refused to not burn to death with his father. It was pretty ****ing dumb, but they both put Daneyrs in a position where she couldn't give mercy without looking weak to the Dothraki.
  3. I think the "only Targaryens can ride dragons" stipulation goes out the window when it has been raised by the Night King. He controls it now.
  4. I didn't buy Sam's emotion over his asshole father and brother being killed for not bending the knee. He understands how these things work, you don't bend the knee...you die. Period. Also, his father basically sentenced him to death by sending him to the Night's Watch, with the expectation that he had no hope of surviving there. His brother was basically a mini version of his dad. It just seemed like the writer's wanted us to completely forgot only Dany has been treated worse by her own family, and want us to believe Sam should react like a normal person who had a loving family. Other than that, I enjoyed the episode and expected them to do a setup episode before getting into the action. I can see Dany not believing Jon is the rightful heir, and she'll use Sam's response to her killing his family as her excuse. Bronn going north to assassinate Tyrion and Jaime is just an excuse to get him into the action. Maybe it's because I like his character, but I don't think he'll go through with it. They've been slowly developing his character where he cares less and less about the riches and titles that he's earned as a sellsword. I think Gendry is going to transform her Valerian knife into a valerian staff. Maybe it'll be influential in bringing down the Night King's dragon.
  5. Check out @sahluwal’s Tweet: Anyone surprised the bikers got off with no consequences for their actions?
  6. YEESSSSSS!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!! I can finally root for this team again!!!!
  7. I don't know how it's going to end, but I definitely know Jaime is going to kill Cersei.
  8. Monica Rambeau is a great character. If they are adding her I'd like to also see Blue Marvel be introduced at some point too.
  9. Notice he says "I beat the case", not "I didn't sleep with any underage girls". Huge difference. Whoever his lawyers are who allowed him to do this interview are idiots. Which is fine by me. Lock him up and let him try that black room **** with his cellmate.
  10. Welcome. I needed some company on the I-won't-take-this-team-seriously-until-ernie-is-gone couch.
  11. "He doesn't write letters..." Yeah, we now know why, he's never been able to read and write.
  12. I really want to know why he has a black eye. It is so obvious there is more to this story that isn't being told.
  13. Ernie is just going to use Wall's surgery as an excuse to save his job.
  14. Just finished watching Into The Spiderverse with my two sons. Surprised there isn't more talk in here about it. Question for those who saw it.
  15. I've been in this camp since last season. I refuse to watch a single minute of this team until Ernie is no longer ruining it.
  16. Cap is like the ultimate human, but still ultimately human. Star lord, being half alien, was able to barely hold just one stone. I think they set this up on purpose to make sense of Steve's sacrifice. Thanos' hand was all burned up and damaged after he snapped half the universe.
  17. Any respectable organization would not let this embarrassment stand without firing whoever was responsible for the screw-up. But this isn't a respectable organization, and Ernie's dumbass will still be here tomorrow.
  18. What does any of that have to do with the conduct of the officers on duty? And the way they manhandled that child? There are depths that LEOs go to with minorities that they would never even consider with white people in this country.
  19. I also agree with Barton's run as Ronin in New Avengers, but I'm a fan of that run regardless. Barton had to take a backseat to some real heavy hitting solo heroes in that book. Spider-Man first decided to be an Avenger and struggled with opening up with his secret identity. Wolverine became an Avenger. Daredevil was there. Spider-Woman was awesome. The Skrulls were exposed first there. Their rebellion against Osborn's Dark Avengers as fugitives was great.
  20. I agree. I think Tony survives the movie, but retires and passes leadership of the Avengers to Captain Marvel. And she'll prove to him she's capable of leading in this movie. How the audience accepts that is anyone's guess. I still believe Steve Rogers dies using the gauntlet to restore life to half the galaxy. His body likely can't handle the power. Think what happened to Thanos' hand, but like, his entire body.
  21. https://www.newsweek.com/colorado-police-officer-who-raped-handcuffed-woman-he-was-taking-home-1238485?amp=1&__twitter_impression=true I think this was brought up in this thread previously. The cop who committed this rape, and admitted it, only got 90 days. 90 days for raping a handcuffed woman while on duty.
  22. I feel so much better about the Wizards after I stopped caring. Ernie? Ted is never going to fire him and I've accepted that.
  23. They shot a man in the head, killing him instantly, while he was not the only civilian there with a gun, and made zero effort at that time to prove he was the actual shooter. Like I dunno, checking his gun to see if it had been discharged or checking his hands for gun residue. Meanwhile, the active shooter is still loose. **** slack, this is all 100% their fault. @Chew, once again, yet another reason why I refuse to get a concealed carry permit or even own a gun period. The second amendment was not made for us, and it has been proven to be the case over and over. Brother, if you continue to carry yours I implore you to be extra careful and consider leaving it at home. You can do everything right and get shot down anyway.
  24. I understand how you feel brother, but I just can't do it. I've thought about getting a gun just for the house, not even a concealed carry permit. And I don't want to deal with getting shot dead in front of my family for simply exercising my own rights as a citizen. I know I should be able to do it, I choose to err on the side of caution so my sons and daughter can grow up with their father. I have a friend who is a firearms instructor, he's black and he's been wrongly jailed for days while the officers who arrested him tried to figure out how to charge him. Long story short, he was pulled over and he informed them of the legally owned firearms in his trunk, they freaked out and immediately pulled guns on him. When he provided his paperwork, the officer told him,"This **** wasn't created for you" and they arrested him anyway. He should've been recording with his phone, but he trusted them to do their jobs and not **** him over. He sat in a cell for a whole weekend and was finally let go without a single apology. Many of my co-workers are former military, white, and even show to up to work with their firearms on them. When I explain why I don't even own one all I see is shock on their face, they can't imagine not owning a gun, it doesn't really occur to them that other people don't have it the way they do. But it doesn't take them long to realize why I made the decision. They don't like to admit it, but they know it's safer for me this way.
  25. https://wgntv.com/2018/11/11/multiple-wounded-in-robbins-bar-shooting-police-say/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Black Security Guard apprehends drunken patrons at a bar. Police show up and shoot the security guard because he was armed. Just yet another reason why I'm not purchasing a gun. Not giving police yet another excuse to shoot me without just cause.
