The Fighting Democrats: Disunited and Incompetent- How do you fix them to become a majority party again? We have a thread for the gop but we should have one for the Dems too. The Joe Biden presidency is about to be effectively deep sixed, with the possible failure of the 2 infrastructure deals. Progressives are flexing their muscles on one side. Moderates/Conservatives are flexing their muscles on the other side. Joe Joe Machin, did say something today that actually made sense. He said for progressives to get everything they want; they have to win elections. I don't remember Progressives Sanders or Warren winning the nomination. I don't remember the Dems winning more house Seats with progressives. I don't remember Dems winning a majority in the Senate. All they could they do was tie, in a fluke special election. The Dems should won 2-3 Senate seats in November; that would've made Machin and Sinema irrelevant. I think the Dems needs to compromise to get something now; then you can campaign on what you passed so you can elect more members in 22 and then be able to add to what you passed in 21. This all and nothing approach will result in nothing getting passed. The Dems are a weak party. They aren't really united and are full of incompetence. How do you fix them, so they can be majority party again. The gOP rules everywhere. Even in minority status; the gop has more power than the Dems. Just in- there will be no vote. My guess if you recanvassed all the votes from 2020; you will find that Biden won by more and that Biden won more votes in red states than was counted.

Unless Ron changes his plan, he will meet the usual end all non Gibbs coach have. The modern NFL is an offensive league. You need an offense to compete for the playoffs and that starts with getting a QB. What does Ronny do, he gets a journeyman QB that usually only has 3-4 good games before he reverts back to what is, backup. TH and KA are just backups. Ron thinks he can get by building his defense and then get the QB, when one falls into his lap. This isn't 2000 when the Ravens won with their defense. Just look at the Rams. They have a great defense. They came to the conclusion they new to upgrade the QB position. So, they were aggressive and traded for thge QB, we wanted. I admit, Stafford has surprised me. The Rams could be the nfc champs this year and prevent Tommy from going back. We need to get a QB next year and we need to give up more assets than we were willing to this year. Look at the Packers. Rodgers covers up, some of the weaknesses. A QB, that can get the offense humming; can help the defense. TH is just a backup and you will we his limitations as, the schedule gets tougher. Ron stays on his present course, he will eventually be given the boot.

The only way Ron quits; is if health declines. Ron will be on the hot seat next year. He will need to do 3 things: Find either midterm:3-5 year QB or Long term QB. Get players to fix our defensive holes. Fix the problems plaguing the defense this year. Another bad year in 22; Ron won’t be able to quit, he will be fired.

Dan had to get an exception from the NFL to let him take more debt, to buy out those co-owners. A new stadium in DC is going cost 2-3 Billion. Dan won't be able to finance that much debt.

Everything you said it's true. This is an offensive league but we have went heavy on defense. Not only did the players believe that false hype of last year, but so did the coaches. That so called great defense, the defense that was only a qb away from being superbowl contenders; was based on falsehoods. The defense looked against inferior competition but played poorly against better teams. We are seeing this year and will continue to see this year; just how bad our defense really is. The whole team was bad. Defense more so. If you can't stop your opponent; that makes things worse for the offense. Mistake #1; you go into the season with backup QBs. The Journeymen Fitzy, TH and KA. A great QB can paper over some of a team's weaknesses. Look at GB. Where do you think they will be without Rodgers. It's early but Cincy and San Diego have franchise QBs. I don't really have much faith in Ron's plan. Frankly, we probably will never do much under the ownership of Snyder. When the Rivera comes to it's predictable end; Snyder will go after the next name. When Snyder is the one hiring; he never goes after an up and coming coach. Don't expect Dan to ever hire a Sean McVay type of coach. Here's Dan's history: 01- Marty- An ego hire. Hired him because Marty said he would never work for Dan; so Dan proved him wrong. 02- Spurrier- A big college name Dan was enamored with. 04- Gibbs- The return of the great one. The only time Dan really did a real coaching search was in 2004 but behind the scenes, he was trying to lure back Gibbs. It worked. *08- Zorn. After the fanbase rejected the rumored hiring of Fassell; Dan let Vinnie pick his coach and Vinnie said why not Zorn. 10- Shanny. He was lusting after him, the moment he got fired from Denver. Shanny wasn't ready to come back, so Dan waited until he was. *14- Jay. The second time, Dan let someone else hire the coach. This was a Bruce hire. 19- Rivera. Why did Dan focus only Ron. He should've looked around. When Dan moves on from Ron; expect him to go after another name. That's just his mo. Rinse and repeat; over and over again.

The Rivera era is currently trending to be another failed era; so Dan will lose more fans. PSLs, isn't happening because there aren't enough fans, that will purchase though to fund a stadium. As for taxpayer funding, that isn't happening either. The best Dan can hope for is some renovation of FedEx.

Term limits. You have it for the presidency. Many states have it for their governships. Majority of politicians are only in it to get reelected; so they will only do what will get them reelected. Until you get rid of career politicians; no real legislation that benefits the people and really solves the country’s problems will occur. 12 years - 6, 2 year terms for the House. 12 years - 2, 6 year terms for the Senate. 5 years- 1, 5 year term for the Presidency. 8 years is to long for one person to be president. 5 years is enough time for them to do what they want. Also, we need to get rid of lifetime appointments for the courts, especially Supreme Court. I would suggest a 10 year term, with the provision they can be reconfirmed for a second 10 year term and then a 3rd 10 year term.
