You honesty think Dan just hired him? Jason was most likely brought in by the nfl.

Game Day Thread: 2021 SUPERBOWL - RAMS VS. BENGALS!!!
88Comrade2000 replied to zCommander's topic in Around the NFL
They will have to fend off Miami and probably Carolina. Miami’s owner wants Watson. Carolina’s owner wants a franchise QB and will probably tell the team to move on from Darnold. Houston will still get a nice haul, if they wait until 22 off-season. Uh, the defense may have something to say about that. -
If the emails could just take at Dan; the nfl probably wouldn’t have a problem. Thing is, those emails probably can take a good chunk of the league and they won’t let that happen.

Because that’s not why they are retiring it. It’s just a pr distraction from emails. If they really planned it for months; you don’t announce it, 3 days before you do it.

Nothing more than a pr distraction. If you really planned this months; you wouldn’t have announced the way they did.

It’s all on Rivera. He botched the signings and some of the draft. He hired the coaches. Ultimately, it lies with him. He has had a poor 21 season and this will get away from him pretty quick.

Heinicke Hive: The LEGEND of Taylor Heinicke Thread
88Comrade2000 replied to LetThePointsSoar's topic in The Stadium
Nothing personal but we’ve had over the years people posting who were only fans of a particular player or coach and once they were no longer here, they left. -
Slow news day? A 90 year old actor, who played a Starship Captain, actually going into space is pretty cool.

Heinicke Hive: The LEGEND of Taylor Heinicke Thread

All Ron has to do, is a QB version of the cognitive test the former president took. If there's an offer to start somewhere sure but we have him the chance and if he can't get a starting gig; he would gladly sign with us. -

He is what he is. Against the better teams, his limitations come out in full force. Currently He's trending to get benched when Fitzy is ready but he probably has earned the long term backup job. -

Because in all likelyhood, he's the long term backup. -
Heinicke Hive: The LEGEND of Taylor Heinicke Thread

Wilson wants to cook, he won't be cooking here. Rodgers wants to at least be consulted when the team makes personnel moves. That won't be happening here. Watson will cost to much and Ronny won't be giving up that many assets to get. I don't think Ron will spend a draft pick on a QB. Too long to develop and Ron doesn't have time. He will be on the hot seat in 22. So, expect us to sign in free agency or trade for the second tier QB. Think Trubisky, Garrapolo, Mariota, Darnold- if available, Dalton, etc.. -
2022 Draft Order/Tracker: Now Picking #11
88Comrade2000 replied to zCommander's topic in The Stadium
You guys are dreaming if a first tier QB: Wilson, Rodgers or Watson would want to come here. Expect a trade or signing of a second tier qb like Trubisky, Jimmy G or even Darnold, if Carolina moves on from him. Maybe Mariota? -
Those so called improvements came against week competition. That Tampa playoff game exposed the true nature of the defense and we are seeing that defense this year. You may get the number 11 part right. Instead of 11-6, we go 6-11. Instead of 11 wins, we get 11 loses.

The Coaching Thread/Race to Black Monday: 1/6/25

They aren’t firing Kyle this year. If he doesn’t show improvement with Trey next year; San Fran may move on. -
2022 Draft Order/Tracker: Now Picking #11

As I think Martin C said earlier, he fears Jimmy G? I think Ron knows he going to have win now; in order to stay as coach. So, I think he will go after a veteran. The first tier will reject him; so it will probably be a second tier guy. -
As bad as what Gruden says is; why just single him out? Also, the NFL has had these emails for a while; why weren't they leaked earlier? Someone wanted Gruden out; so they leaked it. Goodell seems like the perfect candidate because of what was said. I don't think this is the end of it.

2025 might be wishful thinking. Rivera has to change things next year because things aren't working and he botched so many things this year. He has to show signficant improvement next year. Not necessarly playoffs but you will end the season feeling that the team will break thru in 23. If Rivera fails to do that; he will be canned. You would then get a new coach in 23. Then you can expect a roster turnover in 23,24 while the next coach gets his people. 25 would probably be that coaches breakthru year. This team will need 3 or more playoff appearances with at least one win in the playoffs each year for people to start believing. I personally think it will not happen with Rivera.

People bought into the hype. I didn't but many did. I felt 8-8-1 was a releastic assessment going into the season. This team will be lucky to even finish 8-9 this year.
-
Considering how he trashed Goodell; it's probably Roger who leaked those emails. Someone wanted Gruden gone. Someone still has access to all those emails and knows what treasure trove of dirt is in those emails. It could be the reason Dan reluctantly accepted his so called suspension was the fact of their being dirt in those emails.

Well, they shouldn't of. Samy316 excellently describe why winning the division with a 7-9 record hurt us. Last year, Ron adjusted midstream and made an attempt to win the division. In that interview today, he's adjusting again and saying we are a young team that's just learning. He fulling expects this season to be a bad season. He won't say it out loud publicly but what he did say today, confirms in my mind; he expect a bad season this year. Part of the reason for this bad season, is directly due to his mistakes. Several of his offseason moves haven't panned out.

Ding Ding Ding. I was listening to some radio show this morning on Sirius and they mentioned that the NFL could use the emails to get rid of anyone they want. They will go to said individual and say, you will resign or else we will release these emails. If you all of sudden see mysterious retirements/resignations; it could be do that person's having dirt in those emails. Those emails have to be stored somewhere; someone should be able to hack into where they are and get them out.

Jerry left on his own. The nfl didn't force him out. Maybe they would've but he sold the team before the NFL did anything. The nfl covered up for Dan. If there's justice, the dirt will come out.
