Something tell me Joey M And Krysten S are really try to run out the clock until January 23. Everyone knows the gop is more than likely to have full control in 23. J & K are playing footsie. They agree to one thing but then will not agree to another thing. They will keep dragging this until January 23; when it will be too late. After satisfying their corporate donors and the gop; they will be rewarded when they switch to the gop in 23.

It is what it is. I did say Terry was the exception in 13. A lot to ask for a repeat performance.
-
History tends to repeat itself. Virginia usually votes against the party in power at the presidential level for their governor. The recent exception was when Terry won in 2013. I think Youngkin wins. In New Jersey, Dem governors don’t seem to win re-election. I expect that continue tonight. The gop momentum will carry over into 22, when history will repeat themselves and the gop wins big at all levels in 22. I think their victory will be big enough, that even if the Dems win a lot in 24; they won’t win back control. 22 is looking real bad for the Dems; even if they get something passed.

I fully expect this to happen when Dan eventually fires Ron. His new stooge will be a combination of Bruce and Vinny. Our next quick playoff appearance will be in 24/25. I have already said Dan will never have a team that wins a Super Bowl and I also believe he will never win another playoff game. This is what you can expect for the next 30 years. Enjoy.

Those expecting another playoffs this year were deluding themselves. The biggest problem with this year, is the fact the defense is just poor. Then you combine that with a weak offense. The team is no better in year 2 and is actually worse.
-
That winning sure helped us this year. That winning took us out of getting qb. We went into the season with a 38 year old journeyman backup QB, who last one game. 2 backup QB on the roster. The so called great defensive play, went to the heads of some of those defense players. Chase & Montez were saying they would break sack records this year. When in reality, the defense wasn't as good as adverstised. That great 2020 defense, came because they faced mostly weak opponents. Many of those opponents were on their backup QBs. Other than Pittsburgh, what good team did that defense do good against? When they faced Tampa in the playoffs, they were torn to shreads and we seen just how bad that defense was. 2 years in, this team isn't any better and frankly is probably worse.

The Coaching Thread/Race to Black Monday: 1/6/25

Hot Seat heading into Week 9: 1. Brian Flores - The Bellichek coaching tree really has a poor track record. Brian is on his way out. Could a trade today for Watson, if it happens, save him? 2. Matt Nagy - Looking more like Bears getting someone else to develop Fields. 3. Vic Fangio- Only playoffs will save him, currently in 11thy place. 4. Mike Zimmer- Only playoffs will save him, currently in 8th place. 5. Joe Judge- As I said last week, Giants may make a clean sweep with new gm,coach and QB. They have the extra picks to rebuild quickly. 6. Dan Campbell- Winless so far, could he be one and done? Coaches on the hot seat next year or this offseason? Kyle Shannahan- He's only had one winning season- his Superbowl year. They will ride with Lance next year, do they do that with Kyle or not? Pete Carroll- A disappointing year that can't be salvaged when Russell returns. Will Russ want a new coach to make a return to Seattle in 22? Ron Rivera- His 2022 has been an unmitigated disaster. He misjudged the team he really had and most of his free agent/draft moves didn't pan out this year. 2022 could be his final year. -
Don’t really care. Season is over.
-
Winning is the only thing. Ron can’t survive another real bad season. We have another season with double digit losses; Dan will conclude he needs to change coaches. Especially, if we need to draft a qb in 23. Will Dan really want Rivera making that choice or Will he want decide; he wants an offensive coach making that choice.
-
We are 2-6, can’t really be much worse. TH isn’t a starting QB. He’s a backup that can give you maybe 2-3 good games before his limitations prevent you from doing anything. Kyle may not be any better but you need to make the change. After season Danya needs to demand coaching changes and if Ron refuses; goodbye Ron. If Dan can make St Joe make changes; he can do it with the bum from Carolina.
-
Dan may not have personal dirt, but he knows how the NFL operated from 1999. 2 examples, the so called non-cap year; that we got penalized. Colin Kapernick I am sure There's enough NFL dirt to get Congress to strip their anti trust exemption.

Thing is, Ron will have to win 8-9 games with whatever QB he gets in 22. He doesn't have to make the playoffs in 22 but you have to feel they team Wil breakout in 23. If he goes 7-10 or worse in 22; the Ron era is over. The next coach would b e revamping the roster to his style and he the one to find that long term qb.
-
In today’s nfl; QB us the first thing you gave to address. If you draft a QB, he may end up being a bust but you have to address the most important position. Ron has to find at least mid term QB solution next year, if he can’t find the long term solution. He has to be competitive, going 8-8/9-8 or he’s done here after 22.
-
It’s time for some firings. Danya needs to come to Ashburn and do some cleaning and if Ron doesn’t like it, he can quit. Strip Ron of everything. He wants to come back in 22; he only has coaching duties.

Even if we have a Top 5 pick; anyone really trust Rivera making the right pick.
