  1. With so much change in the roster and a new coaching staff that hasn’t worked together before; it will take time to jell. I figure we struggle early and people will think it’s the same old Commanders/Redskins but as things start to jell, we will get better. By the end of the season, there will be hope going into 2025. 6-11/7-10 seems most likely and us drafting between 8-12; which will help us out next year. 8-9 would be ceiling if Jayden does really well.
  2. No but if that many black people really want to vote for Trump; then they can live with Trump dictatorship where they will be treated worse than they are now. I can see the end of the civil rights acts under a Trump dictatorship.
  3. Well, I think next Thursday: 5/9 will be schedule release day. Back in this thread: I made this mock schedule: Week 1: @Baltimore Week 2: Chicago on TNF- Williams vs Maye on Amazon Week 3: @Philly Week 4: @NYGiants Week 5: Carolina Week 6: Cleveland Week 7: Bye Week Week 8 @Cincinnati Week 9: @Dallas on MNF Week 10: Pittsburgh Week 11: Philly Week 12: @Arizona Week 13: Atlanta Week 14: Dallas Week 15:@New Orleans Week 16 : Tennessee Week 17: @Tampa Bay Week 18: Giants Here's my revised 2024 Post Draft- Mock Schedule: Obviously, we don't have Maye but Daniels as QB but Daniels should still get us a national game or two. Actually, I'll go with 3 national games. Yeah, a 4-13 team really shouldn't get much but I think the potential of Daniels will make us attractive enough for 3 national games. Week 1: Atlanta - We open our season against our one time QB Kirk. Week 2: Carolina Week 3: @Baltimore - Our first national game on ESPN's MNF- Jayden vs Lamar Week 4: @Cincinnati Week 5: @Philly Week 6: Bye Week Week 7: Giants Week 8: Chicago- Our 2nd National game on Amazon's TNF- Williams vs Daniels Week 9: Cleveland Week 10: @Dallas Week 11: Philly Week 12: @Arizona Week 13: @New Orleans Week 14: Dallas- Our 3rd National game on ESPN's MNF Week 15 : Tennessee Week 16: @Tampa Bay Week 17: Pittsburgh Week 18: @ Giants- close on the road against Giants
  4. Alright the draft is over. We might still sign someone in free agency now or after the June 1st cuts but the bulk of the roster has been acquired. Yeah, we could sign someone after training camp cuts but doubtful anyone would an impact. So, what do really expect for 2024?
  5. You know winning regularly will make people forget that. As for any change on those fronts, that will tied to when the new stadium will be built.
  6. I don’t even remember the last time I listened to AM radio; which I only listened to for talk - sports or political. You can now listen to those stations thru apps. I only listen thru SiriusXm in my car for talk or music.
  7. Thing is, waiting until the fall to campaign heavily is too late to change minds. By September people’s views will have hardened and they aren’t changing. Trump isn’t going to get all those voters to vote him but Kennedy,West,Stein could and it could be enough to tip the election to Trump. Biden and Dems need to over the summer explain what awaits under Trump rule and then explain what awaits under 4 more years of Biden. I think they’d win that comparison. They already have examples at the state level with what the gop does and what would happen if Trump gets in.
  8. Even though I’m not expecting a winning season this year; by the end of the year, we should be able to put the Snyder era behind us for good. We will be going into 2025 knowing brighter days are ahead.
  9. If both Allen and Payne have good years and Newton plays well; I can see us trading Allen or Payne. It will be cheaper and maybe we can get at least a 2nd rounder, maybe even first.
  10. When the Commanders become regular winners, they won’t need to do that here. Just not having a scum as owner, is a big plus. Dirt about other organizations or owners is coming out now.
  11. He might for 2024 anyway. We already have a 60% roster turnover. I expect more as some of the holdovers won’t make out of training camp. Then even some more won’t perform this season and will be gone next offseason.
  12. . Remember Bears went 7-10 last year. They just needed a qb. Nfc North will be interesting but the Bears could make wild card and nfc north could send 3 teams to playoffs. Bears- Commanders in October.
  13. Schedule should be announced in a couple of weeks. Potential national games: Either Dallas game. Either Philly game. Atlanta- Reunion against Kirk Baltimore- JD vs Lamar Chicago- seems likely matchup between Top 2 picks.
  14. The o-line will limit what this team can do this year. It’s not a playoff year though the ceiling is 8-9, based on JD alone. Actually making the playoffs this year doesn’t help much. Another year of drafting in the lower half of Top 10 will benefit us. I expect 2025 to be the highest we draft for a long time.
  15. The purging isn’t over. Some of the holdovers won’t make it past training camp and some will fail to perform this season and get cut next offseason.
  16. Not in Year 1. Jayden going to running for his life unless o-line gets better.
  17. They said today they are willing to let him sit 4-5 years. You don’t waste a Top 10 first round pick like that. Cousins is gauranteed 100 million for 2 years but in 2026 Atlanta needs to move on and start Pennix. The Raiders though should offer Atlanta picks for Cousins.
  18. It was I think as high as 18 at one point. Players would want an expanded roster but they prefer free agency more.
  19. Draft to long anyways. I can see the NFL getting rid of round 7 and maybe even round 6; as a compromise to get to an 18 game season.
  20. He will rotate with Allen and Payne and then replace one of them, when we decide not to resign them when their contract comes up.
  21. I think Spencer gets taken in round 4. Las Vegas, Dallas, New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams seems like the teams that could draft him. Think this one is the voluntary extra minicamp that new coaches are allowed; so it’s open to all players. The mandatory minicamp is in June.
  22. They don’t have to trade him. When his contract is up, they won’t resign him.
  23. Newton is a future starter and eventual replacement for Allen or Payne. When they are up for next contract; we probably won’t resign them.
  24. The more starters we get out of this draft, the more successful this draft is.
