Dan was defending him when he mentioned the TV at home. Gibbs sayng he signed 14 guys, but he is going to get critsized until he wins. Around the league the teams don't have GM's, the ones that do, including NE, the HC has a lot of influence. The FO does it together. Talked about the injuries and that it is a process, have to research, can they work it out. Have to work at it. Now, talking about taking Dan's plane to vacation and had a great time. If for no other reason, you know what you get when you deal with Coach Gibbs. And in this day and age, that is something special. Trust me. BTW, Coach, us High School coaches appreciate the love. mh83 Posted March 16, 2005 Share Posted March 16, 2005 Gibbs was just saying that he really wanted LC to be a part of this years team, that he told all his players that he had a plan for winning, but it is very hard when one of your players doesn't want to stay on, so they had to make a move. Also said that he believes the Redskins offseason moves in not overpaying to keep certain players is in line with what the Patriots and other succesful teams have done. Kornheiser asked him if he would be happy just with his three superbowls, and Gibbs said you know the past doesn't buy you everything, and even though he's getting criticized now, the great thing about football is that when you finally win, the people come around.
