I have big news.

I have decided to move to Las Vegas.

Obviously, it's only big news for those who care. :)

My family told me a few months ago they had been planning to move to Las Vegas. The decision didn't really have any affect on myself since I've lived on my own for 3 years now. However, I've been thinking about going with 'em ever since and finally decided it's best for me.

I've seemed to talk one of my boys into going with me. It didn't take much convincing. We're planning on getting an apartment within a few miles of the strip.

At first, it was a hard decision. I've lived in Sterling my entire life. Everything I know is here. But after much thought, and my 23rd birthday around the corner, I can't think of any reason not to go.

Except the Redskins. But, I figured with DirecTV, the NFL Sunday Ticket, and Extremeskins, I can't go wrong. With that said, the hardest part for me is going to be missing the DTC tailgates. I won't, obviously, be able to attend every home game anymore. I do, however, have plans, already in the works, to fly back for a few. Off the top, I'm thinking opening day and a few primetime games. You can take Thito out of FedEx, but you can never take FedEx out of Thito!

Anyways, most of you probably don't care. Some of you may. I don't have an exact move date as of yet, but I should be gone by the end of April..... May at the absolute latest.

And finally, I can't wait!!!!! :D

Be careful!! A lot of people that live out there are degenerate gamblers. I've known a few people that have moved out there, only to move back after a year or two b/cuz they gambled away all of their money. But, as long as you have common sense and are not prone to throwing your money away, it should be a ton of fun! Good luck!

I've actually been looking at apartments online and found prices to be VERY low. At least compared to where I live now. I've been told Vegas has a low cost-of-living. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but so far I've found it to be pretty accurate.

thito_da_skins_fan,

Congrats.

Vegas is one of our favorite cities. I know you will enjoy it; there is so much to do out there.

Only drawback - traffic.

I've been told an average of 9,000 people move there each month. It's hard for them to keep up with the infrastructure.

I'll be out there for March Madness, a trade show (mid-April) and another trade show the beginning of May. Perhaps we can hook up.

You need to actually have money before you can gamble.

Your advice is noted and understood. I've already been warned. I'm not a big gambler. Living in Vegas, I know I WILL gamble at times. Common sense does take you a long ways. :)

Having family and friend(s) there also helps. I should be fine.

I heard traffic is a *****. But, so is NOVA so I'm used to it.

I should be out there by the time of your trade show. Send me a PM around that time.

By the way.....you won't need DirectTV....

There's 20-30 sportsbooks I would recommend watching the game over anywhere other than Fedex here...

You'll love watching the games in Vegas...trust me...make a small 5-10 dollar bet and drink for free the whole game at Mirage or Bellagio

With Jet Blue flights from Vegas into DC you should be able to make more games than you think. If you buy the tickets in advance, which should be easy since the games are scheduled waaaaaaaaay in advance, you could fly round trip for about $150. Get one of your boys to pick you up at the airport and take Monday off. You could easily make 2-3 games in DC. Vegas! Lucky ****. Don't forget to double bag it. Heh!

Congratulations Thito, at 23 its time to go (you can always come back)

Watch out for the chicks at bars... You may wake up broke and sore

I'm relocating in the next 12 months but I haven't chosen the lucky city yet!!! Warmer weather than Jersey, thats for sure. Maybe I'll move south and take your spot!
