It always used to be that you sat around hungover and watched the bowl games on New Year's Day. Now there are 42 bowl games and none of them are on New Year's Day. They system is broken. And please don't tell me it's because New Year's Day is a Sunday and the NFL plays on Sunday. For years we had both NFL and College football games both on Thursdays. I've never understood the "SEC" chants from rival schools when someone else is winning the championship. You care that much about conference supremacy that you're happy when a bitter rival wins? No thank you. *I should add, I don't mind seeing the Big 10 do well in general just to make the conference look good. The Wisconsin over OK State and Iowa over Kentucky, etc. are nice just to make sure the conference has a decent looking bowl record. But I'd never root for one of them to win it all.
