This is the first time Bates has ever been injured. He was The Best blocker as a rookie and showed promise as a pass catcher. We'll be fine.

He was supposed to be the starter opposite Terry when he first got here, but i don't feel like he's dependable as a #3 option.  They tried several times today, he's only safe because Dyami Brown is worse.

He's a good slot/gadget guy but we need to stop having him run routes in traffic like he's a big bodied possession receiver. Twice the ball hit him in the hands and twice he couldn't come away with it. I know they weren't easy catches, but this is the NFL, and if you wanna win and contend you need guys who can make those tough plays.

I get what you're saying. Maybe it's a matter of getting his groove back?! Dudes been unable to use his body like normal for awhile. I view him as a #3 WR and a dual threat being able to surprise out of the backfield. I'm bullish on Curtis to come up big from time to time. I hope he has a big game Week 1. Not worried about Samuel as a WR, Brown however, different story. Brown needs to take the top off and create a threat that defenses have to shade or pay the price.
