btfoom
I was surprised that Saban didn't call for PI on the last play from scrimmage. All he had to was tell each of his DBs to man press, and tackle every receiver once the play started. This was just done by the 49ers and would have left so little time on the clock that Clemson would have had to kick. Great game for a neutral like me, especially the second half. LeesburgSkinFan
Vegas took a beating on that game: More money was bet on Monday's classic between Clemson and Alabama at William Hill's Nevada sportsbook than any other college football game in the company's history, according to vice president of marketing Michael Grodsky. Bookmakers estimated $15 million to $20 million was bet statewide on the game in Nevada. The bulk of the money was on the underdog Tigers, who scored a touchdown with one second left in the fourth quarter to upend Alabama 35-31. "It was as bad as a result as humanly possible," William Hill director of trading Nick Bogdanovich, a veteran Las Vegas bookmaker, told ESPN on Tuesday morning. http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/18445588/clemson-tigers-victory-crushes-las-vegas-sportsbooks
Momma There Goes That Man
The spread was -6.5 Bama so they were already losing those bets before that final TD. I like the clock stoppage rule but I'd be ok if they only implemented it in the final 4 minutes of each half. It makes comebacks more likely and therefore, games more exciting

What I don't want to see are any more crazy rules like the clock starting when the ball is kicked or after a change of possession. Those rules drove me nuts and didn't seem to help the flow of the game.

Lombardi's_kid_brother
So after that Baylor story, do we all agree that it may be better for all of us if college football just went away for a while? Let's regroup around 2025 and see where things stand.
